The best restaurants serving British food in Boughton and Courtenay Swale South East

Stunning picturesque location, set in a quiet little lane. The flowers are all in bloom and the restaurants garden area make for a perfect long lazy afternoon of amazing food and ambiance. The food is always 10/10 we have never been disappointed with the quality and culinary skill of Will who is the chef at The Dove. Sophie runs the front of house perfectly and we are always warmly welcomed by them when we cycle up. If you have not been here you MUST!!! Great customer service and a warm environment. The food was superb and portion sizes were perfect. Would recommend either the Pork Belly or Steak and Ale pie as the meat was melt in the mouth. I will definitely go back and try other items on the menu.

Such a well-run, warm and welcoming establishment. Rebecca is accommodating even when it's a busy meal service. And chef Jamie -- all smiles and local good humor -- turns out fresh quality food. (Stayed here for 4 days and ate several meals.) Bonus points: Chaucer mentions the inn in his Canterbury Tales. 🙂

What a lovely little country pub, friendly staff, fantastic food with great atmosphere, highly recommend Hoison Duck and Eton Mess, my partner had the Lamb Shank which the meat just fell off the bone, his sticky toffee pudding was amazing. I wish I’d captured the desserts.

Came here for my parents anniversary as my dad has coeliac disease. The food was so tasty! The setting is beautiful and the choice on the menu was great. But it’s the staff that make it! They decorated the table for us, which looked fab, and when two of our party were delayed they were really accommodating. All I can say is thank you so much and I’m so glad we chose to come, and recommend the pub to everyone!

Found this little gem by accident. Superb food, the beef bourignon was to die for. Excellent serv8ce from Abbie. Will definitely come again.

Beautiful pub in a magical setting amongst the woods. Came here with family for lunch before a walk in the woods and we all absolutely loved it. Lots of dogs also visiting which kept the kids happy. Will be back asap.
