Truly excellent pizza at the Half Moon, Cuxham. Great, friendly service and a lovely pint in Rebellion, too. Go there!!!!

This was my first visit to The Red Lion.A very pleasant experience indeed. The staff were friendly and the quality of the food was quite excellent. A starter/main course plus wine was just under ÂŁ50 per head. A fair price for what was provided.Well worth a visit.

We stopped on the off chance of finding a pub with food, late lunchtime and were in luck! Although there was a full menu, also on offer were a BLT ciabatta or brie and cranberry. And very tasty the brie and cranberry was: well filled, fresh bread, neat salad (and a sneaky portion of chips!). Refreshing glass of Aspalls cider and a choice of non-alcoholic beers rounded off a very pleasant lunch.

Really nice warm individual atmosphere. Food was great and just what we needed before a long day the following. We overnight-ed in room 3 which had everything needed. I Managed to run an international meeting at 0600 so wifi was strong. Breakfast next day was really good and ready when we asked for it. Highly recommend The Fat Fox if you want to dodge the corporate bs and feel like a name not a number.

Went for Sunday Lunch and food was terrible really disappointed. We were asked as curtesy seconds after plates landed on the table if ok, that was even before we had a taste. We tried food was look warm, Pork overpowered by fennel spice not mentioned on menu or expected on Sunday roast. Shame😟

We went as a group of 14 for lunch, having pre-booked and chosen from the menu in advance. Everything arrived promptly and exactly as ordered and was delicious. Thankyou for looking after us all so well, including the 2 coeliac gluten-frees. Good choice on the menu, I had a cider with my meal, others had beers, wines, soft drinks etc. Everyone was happy, parking was easy and plentious.

There’s something about this place that just makes me very happy. Chilled vibe, great smoothies, the toasties (of course), the lights, the music. Ok so the menu is brief but it doesn’t pretend to be a meal destination
.its a shed and it sells cheese!

Been here several times and on every occasion we say ‘never again’ but we do go back in the hope that it has changed. Chap at the counter is incredibly rude ( I’m sure he doesn’t but I always feel that he would be happy to spit in the chips). Food is expensive for what it is and god forbid that you are a few pennies short (and I mean pennies) of the cost because he will make you go to the cash point in Co-op. Of course they don’t take cards as 1: that would cost him money and 2: he would have to declare it? Half of the items don’t go through the till, he just gives you a figure. The food tastes like it is cooked in really old oil and really isn’t nice. So we will now stand by our decision and NEVER go back.

Great pub to have lunch after a muddy walk. Beer, food, service were all really good. Cosy bar bar area with log fire. I will be back.

Reassured by the Tripadvisor rating, we were looking forward to trying this Thai pub. What a letdown. Absolutely dreadful food. Avoid.
