Table booked for 3.30pm ... Placed an order for starters & mains to be told there is a waiting time of 1 hour for starters so cancelled starters ... Food then arrived within 15 minutes !! ... So then ordered desserts, again to be told there is a 1 hour wait, so ordered anyway, & guess what arrived within 15 minutes again ... Total lack of communication between the Kitchen & bar staff ... The food was hot & pretty good & the guy delivering the food was very friendly ... One irritating issue is why can't you cook a fried egg that isn't like a Frisbee??

Quite disappointed the last time I bought sushi’s. The rice wasn’t well cooked and the fish was almost frozen. It was much more better a year ago. I don’t think I will buy again at this branch.

The young ones try to do a good job—bless ’em—but efficiency always seems to slip through their fingers like a greased-up Tesco bag. Good intentions, tragic execution.

Standard of fresh food has slipped a bit.

It was the first time that I was disappointed with the lack of flavours in all the food. What a shame after many years of serving a good food. I hope you'll get better soon so I can enjoy your food again.

The best service and tastiest pizza I've had outside of Italy. Came here on the recommendation of a chef. We served by Thomas, Steve and Lola.

Food is always great, well cooked. First time we ordered a delivery, it arrived 40mins late, the phone went to VM so we had no idea if we were actually going to receive our order. Told the delivery guy, who was very courteous. Hoping our experience will be better next time

Called last night and the food was excellent, nearly didn't due to other reviews glad I ignored them.

Very expensive and food was poor. Did not get the bananas fritters we ordered, half duck was very scrappy no meat. Chicken chinese style was more breaded chicken in gravy. It felt like leftover chinese rather than cooked fresh.

I decided to try the famous vegan sausage roll for the first time and was seriously disappointed. It wasn't very hot and was stodgy. I went to the toilets and they were filthy. Needless to say, I walked straight back out!

After getting the toppings wrong on my delivered pizza twice in a row. Customer service acknowledged the shop weren't going to get it right and refunded the cost of the topping. So be aware if booking online you may not get the pizza you ordered

I took our Beaver Scout group to Pizza Express in Wallingford at the weekend. We had booked the party experience, but as well as being amazing fun it was informative and educational. Alex was fantastic, he learnt all of the Beavers names and kept them engaged throughout. It was brilliant value at £15 per person which is around what I would expect to pay for a pizza on it's own. The group got to make pizzas (loads of toppings provided), were given an activity sheet to complete, were given a starter of dough balls and vegetables, ate their pizzas and were given a box to take the left over home, had gelato for desert and unlimited squash. It was totally stress free for the adults who accompanied the Beavers as Alex took care of everything. It was all very professional teaching them about hygiene and safety, and the chefs cooked the pizzas in the oven. Thank you to all of the staff for making it a brilliant experience! I have had my daughter's birthday party here previously - I would 100% recommend it for a totally stress free birthday party idea and you can take balloons and decorations.
