Incredible food. Kind service. We'll be back !

Good food, which was tasty and reasonably priced . Considering it was a Monday night, there were a couple more tables eating, the restaurant is small, so made for a good atmosphere.

One of the best 'Indian' meals I've had in England. Enjoyed the Sunday tasting special, what incredible flavours!

Takeaway delivered earlier than expected which was good as I was hungry. Food could have been hotter in temperature, however it was all very tasty

We always visit the Wallingford Tandoori when we are out on the boat, as always excellent freshly made food, always a treat, we shall see you soon

They managed to fit 9 of us in at short notice for my son’s birthday. The service was good and we all enjoyed the food. The ambiance and decor is welcoming. We’d definitely go back.

We've just had a delivery from Wallingford Tandoori, having eaten there often in the past and found it a friendly and comfortable place.. The food is obviously not London sophisticated, but is tasty and well prepared , the prices are very reasonable and the quantities are huge. I particularly like the extras not included in the price, little salads and pots of sauces. It's hard for mid-range restaurants on the high street these days, but year in year out these guys provide a reliable and friendly service in our town, and deserve support.

Not been here for a long time.all of take away ordered pretty poor. Samosas are a disgrace and a masala although fairly tasty, watery sauce and lacking in meat. Naan dry & hard. Not somewhere I’d rush back to.

Amazing! Lovely flavours, delivered in 30 minutes from ordering online and still hot. Overall great value for money and will be ordering again soon.

Ordered a collection takeaway tonight just for myself and it was top notch. The chicken was succulent and juicy in the Dansak and the Chicken Biryani was fantastic. Not so keen on the veg curry it was a bit watery and tasteless but overall the meal was really good and next time we visit Wallingford (which is regularly) we will definitely come in for a sit down meal. Highly recommend very good.

Wallingford tandoori is restaurant where you want to go to celebrate. The price is very reasonable cheapest and i think this is a reason to enjoy meal comfortably. Our entire meal was so beautiful specially the Lamb, Curry and Nan bread. Service is friendly and professional. They have beautiful road side view. Prepare for longer than usual waiting times yes because it can be busy on rush hour.

Mixed feelings but won't order again. We ordered a delivered take away this evening. We've eaten in before and it was fine/ok. The food today, however, was very bland. You should know that ordering a popadom and 'chutney' is not necessarily chutney - we received mint, and 1 despite ordering two. The fish bhuna was not bhuna, more fish and onions in water. The cauliflower bhaji was similar - watery cauliflower. Chicken tikka masala was pretty tasty, as was the peshwari nann. Pilau rice nothing special.

Not been here for awhile and to be honest the dishes were a bit bland. Nice enough but such a low spice count

Food wasn't too bad - nothing special, but nice enough. The atmosphere, however, was incredibly awkward. They desperately need some background music - we were there with only one other table and it was dead silent and incredibly awkward for the entire meal. If you're local to here then it'll make a perfectly good takeaway, but they desperately need to improve their dining in experience. The staff were friendly, but the service was pretty slow even though there were only 2 tables. I'd hate to see what it's like when it's busy! It definitely has potential, and with a bit of work it could definitely become 5 stars, but it's not there right now.

Sadly went tonight and had awful experience food was very tasteless poor quality. When we came to pay I questioned bill as it was banquet night to be told had I asked for banquet I said no I assumed as we order what was stated on banquet board outside ! I was argued with to point paid full price as we just wanted to leave but I did comment we wouldn’t be returning! He the shouted at my friend we hadn’t asked for the banquet and was our own fault ! He returned to give us the difference in money but we just wanted to leave as other customers were staring and this point and we felt very uncomfortable and upset we won’t be returning!!!!

Very dissapointing.When we started eating here it was great some 3 years ago.But it has Definately gone down hill in the past year.Today our order was very late,arrived cold and lacking in taste.onion Bhajis,cold,pompadons stale,peshwari nan cold and soggy! Biriani tasteless and not fresh.What has happened? Will be trying somewhere else.Deluvery driver evenentioned we should complain!!

Good service, good value but the curry and samosa was disappointing. The curry had a lot of raw onion in it (see picture) which is unusual for a curry which disappointed.

We have just had a lovely meal here whilst away on holiday. We were a bit apprehensive - after all, £9.99 for 3 choices seemed too good to be true - but we needn’t worry as it was perfect. Very attentive staff - brought me water when I started a coughing fit. The food was delicious and plentiful. The final bill was very impressive too. Will certainly visit again. In Wallingford on business and decided to give this place a try for my evening meal. Located just near Wallingford bridge, this small but well appointed restaurant certainly did not disappoint. Decor inside was good and tables nicely laid out. I chose the chicken shaslik and was very impressed by it. Service was good and the cost was very reasonable.

Hit and miss sometimes it is very good and some time it just tasted like someone else did the cooking but I drove 25 mins for this take away the best I had around....

It was great service and good food . We had a party there and it was amazing from start to end . Starters were served promptly and they were fantastic .we stayed there late but never felt bored .thank you guys we will see you again

From the moment we went in the reception seemed very casual and uninterested. Tried to order the Prosecco and then the cheaper champagne n the menu but they said only had champagne at £45. Ordered other drinks and they came wrongly and with very abrupt service. They only showed any interest in our custom when we said we were leaving and walked out. Never going back. Went to Delhi Brasserie instead and had great meal

Worst experience ever. Avoid at all costs! The service was so bad it felt like the staff just wanted to leave. No smile not even welcoming. We went to pick a table to sit at, bare in mind we were the only customers in the restaurant and the man demanded us to sit were he wanted. We then ordered and 1 curry was watery the other seemed like it was reheated. I asked for Nan they didnt bring it when i quetioned they kept demanded i didnt order it. I asked for ketchup and mayo the picture speaks enough. Lets hope i dont get a bad stomach! EXTREMELY BAD EXPERIENCE. I left half my food it was so bad. The only decent things were the popadoms and nan bread.

After a really stressful time with my daughter in hospital, we came home and didn't want to cook, I was told bad reviews about the tandoori, but my personal experience was fantastic! We always used the Delhi but not anymore ! This food was fantastic tasty and the delivery was spot on even on a Saturday! Definitely recommend to anyone! Thank you Tandoori and look forward to coming and having a meal inside next.

Called twice, sat had the normal menu, was very good. Sunday the special thali not so good.

Got a take away, good flavour to the Lamb madras, but virtually no meat, disappointing and sadly not the first time I have a take away where there has been little meat.

One of the best we have had! The chicken was so tender, dishes were piping hot, fresh and flavourful. Will certainly be back!

They offer £9.99 deal on any starter and any main but when the bill came, it didn’t reflect this. When we queried it, we were told that we had to mention at the beginning and we would have been given a different menu. Not quite ‘any starter, any main’

Asked for plain podadoms got spicy. Web site gives delivery times from 3pm but apparently they don't start delivery until 5.30pm. Think they need to correct their website.

Restaurant was empty. Given the bland food, the bored waiter and the dirty Naan baskets, I now know why.

E used to use the restaurant some years ago dud to.old age e can't climb the stairs we saw an advertisement a fixed price meal starts main rice or paperdom the rooms above have Ben turned into.flats the dinning area has been refurbished. Service and food was great .wher can you this fixed price price menue with great choice for £10

Once again had a delivery and after being very specific that they had it and understood the order it still came wrong!!! Third time now.!! I just give up !! Time to move on

Third time I have ordered from here. Always minim 25 - 30 minutes late when collecting. Not ideal when in a rush.

Rude and unhelpful, such a shame as it used to be such a nice place. Will not be ordering from them again after telling me it was for a bottle and then delivered a can and was rude.

Went here for the 1st time with some fiends on Friday. Small but very cosy restaurant. Service was excellent and all staff very friendly. The food was quite simply the best tasting Indian I have ever had and I've had a fair few. Opted for the Special Bhiryani and was blown away by the flavours and presentation. Excellent value for money and you can take your own beer/wine etc which is great. Highly recommend and will definitely visit again. Keep up the great work.

Really nice people but the chicken in the takeaway meals was all quite chewy I’m afraid and therefore we can only rate this as average. The sauces were tasty but unfortunately you need to work on either the chicken supplier or how it’s being cooked....

Food was cold husbands mixed kebab came with just three pieces of meat not many chips I order prawns fried only got one big one rice was also cold never ever going to order it from here again price was well over price for what we ordered and was also late delivery it

Please, when you are in Wallingford, make this a place to visit, looking into the widow you might be mistaken in thinking it's small! This is made up by quality and service in abundance, the food is exceptionally good and large portions served promptly. Thumbs up. First time we've eaten here and it was excellent. The poppadoms were crispy and warm, the accompinants were really tasty including diced carrot in pickle. The two mains were really tasty, as was the onion rice and garlic naan. Service was attentive, friendly and helpful....

Ordered a takeaway, stingy portions .. 5 small cubes of chicken in our curry. Naan bread undercooked and doughy and poppadoms were stale. Everything needed to be warmed up in the microwave as it arrived cold. Avoid

Have had good meals from here before but the delivery service is very poor. In the past we have had items missing but they then came out again with missing items, do continued to us them. This time though placed order for 1 hour delivery. When not with use after 1.5 hours chased and it was delivered 1 hour late. When opened it up it was completely the wrong order and luke warm. Contacted restaurant and be they said they would get order to us on 30 minutes. It arrived about 45 mins later. The right order came but way over spiced compared to the same dishes ordered before. Did write to restaurant with our experience but as no reply I assume they don't care, so I will take my busy elsewhere on future.

Fantastic food here, couldn't fault the food or the staff. A bit on the small side in seating, however it wasn't busy so we sat comfortably.

We don't bother ordering from anywhere else in this area as this place is our number 1 favourite Indian restaurant. I Highly recommended them. The Lamb biryani is my number 1 favourite and was amazing and flavourful, and their kebabs and Chicken saag is delicious.. Delivery time was good, portion size was great. But the food was a bit cold, the chicken was dry, and the prices are pretty high for that level of quality. But for a hangover it'll do.

Ordered Take-Away to Benson Waterfront while having a Few Nights away in the lodges there. With everywhere else around being poorly rated we went for Wallingford Tandoori. Not sure if how poor the food was is because of Lack of Competition surrounding them but it is a Horrible place. Mac n Cheese was Microwaved and never seen a “Cheese” in its life, Just over Cooked pasta with cream. The Chicken Pakora was barely edible and only god knows what they do to it, It was like Baby Food in Panko. The Lamb Wrap had about as Much Lamb in it as a Vegetable Curry, Just an Overpriced Naan Bread filled with Salad, Horrible sauce and 4 tiny Cubes of Lamb (I mean literally like 1cm Cubes of lamb), Bombay Aloo was just hard cubes of Potatoes in Oil, No flavour whatsoever. Glad we were only visiting and not living locally with these poor standards and horrible take outs. Wouldn’t recommend to Locals let alone visitors.

Had a fantastic dinner with my family and friends. The staff was very helpful and food was even better. Will defo recommend to others and will surely visit again soon.

Food is ok but nothing special. Twice we have waited over 2 hours for delivery within a couple of months and twice I’ve been charged for food we didn’t receive and wasn’t refunded.

We love Indian food and have been to a lot of restaurants. This one is right up there with the best we've had. Flavours were spot on, really good value for money and the service was excellent. If we lived locally we'd definitely be back....many times!
