Absolutely delicious food. Great service. Will definitely be going back.

Worst food! Considering the price paid 78 pound for poor customer service the table was dirty asked a staff member to clean the table he used a napkin from a different table and used it to clean the table with out any cleaning products i still had to go over it put it like this my 4 year old can clean better, the rice smelt weird, the penner tasted like rubber the chips were fries and tasted very oily save your money i would not recommend this place!!!

Me and my partner came for dinner and we were so happy with the service that was given to us as well as the food. Would definitely recommend for a nice meal out

A great takeaway and excellent value. The food was very well prepared and flavoursome. It arrived quickly and there was no delivery charge which is unusual nowadays. We received a complimentary side dish which was a nice touch. There are a number of good Indian restaurants in Didcot and having tried almost all Little India is one of the best.

The restaurant itself was spacious, comfortable and stylishly decorated. The service was friendly, yet professional. Most importantly, the food was excellent. We ordered lamb, chicken and vegetarian dishes. The ingredients were all of good quality and all seasoned beautifully. The naan was exactly right. A truly delicious dinner! Really, the best Indian/Bangladeshi food in the area. Highly recommended.

We ordered multiple curries, all were very sweet and those labelled as hot were mild.

5 stars for Little India, a very welcoming feel as you walk through the door. Went late on a Saturday night and was seated straight away. Excellent service from start to finish with friendly staff and very reasonably priced food which was fantastic. Having never been there before, I will most certainly be back again. Very impressed .

This place has improved a lot over the years. Really nice Indian food and good for large groups as they have a lot of space and are never too busy. I’d highly recommend the Chicken Shashlik. Delicious!

Very unprofessional. Poor service. Highly spiced food. Little India is not an Indian restaurant. It’s Bangladeshi restaurant. Half of the dishes in menu are not Indian dishes.

Amazing food as always but ….. atmosphere in restaurant is dull mid week, feels very empty. Front of house chap did not crack a smile all evening when we went a few days ago, in fact, it seemed it was too much effort to even speak, made the visit quite uncomfortable. Great for takeaway, not for eating in.

We were pleasantly surprised that the food they served was spicy and tasty. All of us who had dinner were Indians and did not generally had good opinion of Indian food in Didcot. We were looked after and were given suggestions of what to choose. Must try is their garlic rice, seekh kebab, tandoori chicken, naan & roti 😋. We ordered loads of dishes as we were 15 of us - for starters, we had murgh wings, seekh kebab, garlic king prawn, momos (indian version ... was interesting), tandoori chops, salmon tikka. For mains, we had tandoori chicken (suggested by the server), naga chicken curry, goan chicken masala, chicken biriyani, garlic rice, garlic naan, tandoori roti.

You enter into a warm and comfortable atmosphere, the service was fast and the hosts were polite and the vegetables samosas were delicious.

Would give 0 if I could. Waited over an hour. They had the wrong address and never called us. They then hung up on us and never apologized. Took our money and delivered cold food.

Myself and my husband visited here last night for the first time. The restaurant itself is pleasant. Lighting not that good, had to use phone torch to read the menu! Crispy mushrooms starter all breadcrumbs and tiny mushrooms, chicken pakora was nice. Chicken bhuna tasty and spicy. Chicken aloo gobi nice but more potato than chicken. Expensive chutneys! But reasonable priced food. Won’t be back in a hurry. Staff were ok but could be more friendly. Only took photos of starters.

The guy that served us on Monday evevening 28/12 was rude, Prisoners in Guantanamo bay get better treatment from their guards. We ordered a beer and a mango Lassi , The beer was good the Mango Lassi had hair. No appology was made just an offer to excahnge it.

Busy place.Good food,not very different from other local anglo-indian restaurant.Wouldnt say the most authentic indian food but worth trying once. Good service and kind staff. Could definitely improve on menu. Menu is very typical, nothing different atall. We ordered different types of curries, i felt the gravy base was same for all, just veggies were different. Rice was delicious but didnt taste fresh, not a biggy!! All in all good.

We went to this place during the weekend. First of all, their customer service is really bad. We wanted a child chair for our baby and no one was giving us that so we had to hold our baby for a long time. Later when we asked, waiter was pointing us to the place where they kept the chairs. There was a table next to us so they had to remove that for us to keep the child chair. All the other restaurants we visited so far helped us to set up the child chair without even we asked about it. And the post important thing, they served us the wrong food ! When we mentioned about it they took the plates away in a rude manner and then someone I think the manager brought it back to us and asked us to eat them too because it was thier mistake. At last, they tried to charge us for an additional orange juice and luckily we checked the bill and found this out. Food portions were small and the items were pricy. Will never visit this place again.

My first visit and I thoroughly enjoyed it. I liked the decor and the ambience. The food was hot and tasty, the service friendly and attentive. Very impressed!

We always have a lovely meal here. The staff are very attentive and pleasant, food has always been great. We go often, most weeks or weekends. The Kids also love it. Perfect for us as its walking distance.

We ordered from the restaurant Monday and we loved it! The taste was great and we enjoyed every bite . Since we loved the food so much ,we decided to place another order today. Worst mistake ever! Apart from paying over £80 -which we would not have minded if the food had been as amazing as earlier this week - they sent us a selection where everything taste the same; no depth and no flavour ,if you don’t count tomatoes. The Pakora chicken Monday came in lovely square parcels and tasted divine .. fast forward to tonight .. soggy and tasteless ,rubber .. The tikka that we ordered was full of gristle.. I could go on .. (the chef can not have been the same..)but am going downstairs to make myself toast ! And to think I could have ordered a nice pair of shoes instead .. never again or as my other half just days: ffs that’s one way ticket to Portugal!

Excellent free delivery. Ordered one line @4pm .As soon as they opened at5pm had a message to tell us delivery in 50 mins which it was. Can’t fault tasty , and ample food on the set menu. Better value than some others . Thanks

If the official food hygiene rating of 2/5 doesn’t put you off the customer service might. 2 hours after ordering my takeaway from them I called to question where it was, to be told it was en route and would be arriving soon. Another hour later and a phone call later I was told they had forgotten my order and they could do it for 30 mins time (3.5 hours after ordering). I politely declined this offer and asked to be refunded due it being almost 10pm at which point the staff member became angry and just hung the phone up. 2/5 for hygiene 0/5 for customer service I’d say go elsewhere.

Bland and tasteless, cold and miserable. By far the worst Indian takeaway I've ever had.. Lamb Bhuna was certainly not a Bhuna. Onion Bhaji was tasteless. Peshwari Naan cold and sweated in the bag. Bombay Potatoes were not soft all through

We've been visiting Little India for takeaways since lockdown restrictions eased and my boyfriend could visit me in Didcot. Which has now turned into a proper Friday night tradition! The food is excellent, and the experience is made all the more special by the exemplary service from Shab, who always greets us with a smile and engaging conversation whilst he humours us as we remember our order even though he knows it already!! Could not recommend more!

Wasn’t sure when we walked in as no food rating on the door . Ordered food 1st class excellent service and food was amazing 5* Checked on line said 2* which in my opinion is very wrong. A must place to eat even offered free drink at the end. First class

Our go-to Indian restaurant in Didcot for great tasting and great value veggie food. We usually get the delivery service, but the restaurant is a great night out too, with a lovely ambience and friendly staff. Our deliveries often come with extra poppadoms! 😀. My wife says the Sag Chana Dansak is the best thing she's ever tasted. Their website is also really easy to use to order from too.

To be honest, it was good food. But the free extras were missing - poppadom, mango chutney, salad.I ordered the vegetable pakora starter, sea bass delight and a bottle of Cobra beer.The sea bass fillet has to be the smallest fish fillet that I have ever seen. It cost an extra £3, plus the veggie starter was an extra £1.My feeling is that they have increased the prices to make up for Covid-19. Not being able to fill the restaurant due to social distancing etc.Unfortunately, it will be a long time before I order from here again.There are plenty of other restaurants around that are very good.So disappointed. Sorry guys.

Exactly as you’d want. Decor especially. The massive lamp/lantern is pretty quality in particular. Foodwise - there is nothing wrong with it whatsoever, good railway lamb, good masalas & decent breads & bits. Pleasant enough service. Cant complain one bit, just nothing spectacular. The standard all indian restaurants should meet.

We have always been pleased by the quality of food from Little India. However we were extremely disappointed by last night’s takeaway. We spent £39 on a meal for 2. The Tandoori Paneer Tikka had only 6 small pieces of paneer amongst a huge amount of onion (that works out at £1.25 per small piece of paneer!!); the mint sauce pots were less than half full, giving only a tiny amount of sauce; and there was no free Bombay Aloo Included in the order despite the menu claiming to supply a portion to all orders over £30. Definitely not up to the usual standard

My partner and I had a takeaway from here and we were both very unwell for several days. I contacted the proprietor who agreed to refund me for the meal but this has not happened despite several emails. I would never eat here again. He even implied I was partly to blame for ordering seafood / salmon eventhough the only part of the meal that we shared was the rice. Very disappointed.

The Restaurant has changed hands and the layout lacks ambience. The food was very bland. Had to keep adding salt. Prices were reasonable.

Flavours are there but to much oil for my pallet. Sometimes less is more. Unable to finish my dish due to the amount of oil added.

Poor communication. The just eat app told us food arrived when it hadn't. Originally the app gave a generous 1 hour waiting time and ended up taking twice as long. Staff said they would phone back to find out where the delivery was but didn't.Food arrived 1hr late. No apology or explanation from the driver. Food was COLD and a poppadom was missing from the order. Disappointed as usually good quality food and generous portions.Get a delivery with caution.

Love their food. Better than in the restaurant! I had a delivery last night (06.01.19).Ordering was easy on the phone. Starter and a mains. Delivered an hour later as agreed. Food was hot. Lush! I could only eat half of the salmon mains with spicy dhal and steamed basmati rice. Delicious. Finishing it off tonight.Highly recommend. I live in Long Wittenham, but not an issue. Please avoid. Placed an order with the restaurant through just eat. 5 minutes after it should have arrived the order status changed to delivered, but no food. A call to little india and I was told the driver had left 10 minutes ago. So 10 minutes later I call again, guess what? It'll just be another 10 minutes. It eventually arrives 40 minutes late and missing one main course. I try calling again but it's engaged for 15 minutes. Eventually my wife drives to the restaurant where they simply give her back the cost of the main course. No offer to cook it just simply handed over some cash. I'll never use or visit them again and I would recommend you don't either. Very poor.

We found Kolkata when we moved to Didcot about 15 months ago and, because we're a bit lazy, kind of stuck with it. Tried Little India as we had family visiting, fancied a change and the last time we dined in Kolkata the restaurant temperature was arctic.Absolutely and thoroughly delighted with the food and service for all five of us. My sister managed to forget to mention an allergen until the first course was served - graciously and swiftly rectified with no fuss. Brill. Everything hot, fresh tasting and exceptionally tasty. A wide variety of dishes all tasting distinct from the other. Portions very generous and a bill under £120 ex-service for five to be totally stuffed with plenty to take home for the next day.Delighted with Little India and very much looking forward to returning.

28.10.18.I decided to try out this restaurant for dinner.I chose salmon tikka starter - tasty though a little on the dry side, accompanied with a salad garnish and tamarind sauce.For mains - sea bass fillets which came with vegetables, rice and salad. I had difficulty in cutting the fish!!! I gave up! Although I was the only diner, I had to get the attention of the waiter. I told him. He wandered off and someone else came out and offered me salmon tikka as a main dish (even though I had it as a starter!). I agreed.The same problem! Over cooked and dry, though edible. I just couldn't be bothered.Dessert - no traditional Indian, so passed on that. All ice creams!!!I think the chef just isn't able to cook fish properly - it should be tender and juicy.I will return, but not for a while.

One of many Indian restaurants in Didcot and one of the best. The food is interesting and whilst you can get the usual suspects like chicken madras, korma etc. you also can try dishes which are not so familiar like tamarind chicken . The service is fine and the restaurant pleasant...not decorated in the normal Indian restaurant way and in my opinion attractive. They are very busy at weekends, but we went on a quiet Tuesday in January and had a very enjoyable meal.There is an extensive take away menu as well which we have also tried and enjoyed with delivery over a wide area.

Went here with my Dad last night and really enjoyed the food. Staff were very friendly too. The dishes we ordered had lots of flavour and weren’t dripping in oil like you get in a lot of places. Would definitely go back here again!

Went here yesterday for dinner- was informed there was going to be a large party eating there tonight, this didn’t slow down our order at all. The food came quickly and was DELICIOUS! Definitely try the tamarin chicken- it was lovely. Also the momo lamb starter was really tasty. The service throughout was a perfect balance of attentiveness and allowing us space to enjoy our meal. Would highly recommend!

I've been here for a 3 course meal in this restaurant and it's been lovely, my only concern is I normally order takeaway and I get the chicken madras, every single time I've got this it's full of Oil which leave me trying to drain all of the oil from the curry, would like to see this improved.

Visited with family . Good food but main courses took over half an hour to arrive after starters. Wasn't busy on a wet Saturday night. Waiters not very friendly to be honest seemed like they didn't want to be there. Probably won't visit again which is a shame as we've been before on New Year's Eve and it was great. Must do better on service side of life

Rang up to check happy to accept late night Friday booking. Turned up on time, very nice food but waiters surly & took ages to get every course. Worth a visit but be prepared to wait, no one really monitoring the situation either.

I ordered a takeaway from here last night- was pleased to find they had started delivering to Cholsey as not many do! Delivery was very quick and it arrived earlier than the estimate, always a bonus, and the driver was friendly.However, I was disappointed to find the food lacked flavour and spice- the rice and peshwari naan were good but the chicken tikka had no spice or flavour at all, the chicken tikka massala was equally spice-less and tasted just of tomato and the same goes for the Bombay Aloo.A great shame as it would have been great to find a good takeaway that delivers to us!

We ordered through the Little India app. It is a great app and very easy to use. The takeaway arrived on time but was stone cold (not even remotely warm). We ordered a takeaway for the convenience but ended up having to put all the dishes back into the oven. I would have been more inclined to cook should I have known. The meal was delicious plus there was a 20% discount if you order from the app. Should the meal have been warm then I would have given five stars.

We had our wedding reception here November 10th,What a great place. Nanu and all the waiters really enjoyed us dressing up in full Indian wedding clothes [see the photos] We had Bollywood dancers with the waiters joining in with the dancing ! The food was amazing and all the staff worked so hard to make our day special. Once again Nanu I would like to say a big thankyou for our wonderful wedding day.

Very enjoyable meal and friendly welcome. I hadn't been for a sit down curry for six years so was a little unsure what to order but found some nice tandoori dishes and sides. Didn't have to wait too long either as it was a quiet Tuesday night. Hot hand cleansers passed over after meal and little chocolates. Offered liqueurs after our meal etc. which I declined as driving. I will definitely return as we enjoyed the meal and my fussy partner cleared his plate :-)

We only went for a takeaway, but it was one of the nicest indian takeaways we have in a while. The staff were very polite and the meal was ready when they said it would be.

Excellent staff, last order they even through in a free bottle of wine. Really tasty and very reliable. Staff really care about your experience. Hoping they will have a website soon to make orders easier. Shame they don't offer duck, but maybe in the future.

Best Indian restaurant in Didcot. Very friendly staff. Great service. The food was amazing especially the prawn nawabi. Its by far the best Indian restaurant i have been to in Didcot and Reading. Menu is slightly limited but I am sure they will add more options in coming future. Lovely ambience with bollywood music. I will highly recommend. 5 star...
