Food is OK but the staff and the service are very poor. Nor interested in the customers.

Excellent and very tasty curry. My favourite is chicken tikka vindaloo and this is one of the best I have ever tried. Good service. Great value for money.

Astoundingly good value and superb, tasty food.

My worst experience in 14yrs in entire UK. Thought of trying this first time but had a nightmare experience and thinking this sort of people and restaurants are also running & making money. Chef clearly was not aware of how to make Raita, matar paneer, salad and almost all. Had to leave my entire meal. Please do not consider this restaurant at all Indian because it clearly not. I think I will need to report them serving bad food. When I tried to share my feedback the guy took very personal and started arguing. Paid in full and had nothing. Complete waste of time traveling so far.

Such a shame that I’m having to leave a review, but I want to warn other people. I came here for dinner with my grandparents, the staff were very unfriendly, that’s fine. Went to sit down with the waiter and because my grandfather is elderly he does take a little longer to sit down, the waiters face and attitude was really bad, huffing and puffing because he was taking his time to sit. We then had questions about the menu, as my granddad has a deadly allergy, again this seemed to be such a problem for them, we have never experienced that before, restaurants are always super accommodating and welcoming to this. We did eventually ask for another waiter to serve us. Thought that would be the end of the negative experience but I was wrong… this new guy did not like us one bit, I’m pretty sure it was because of his colleague. We didn’t even wait to try the food because of this. Really disappointed.

Too much to say, can’t put it in one post. But politely avoid these guys. Disrespectful and inconsiderate

The food took 3 hours to arrive, and when we called the restaurant they told us that they won’t offer a refund and said they were just busy. We only live 10min drive away, I don’t get it.

IN Wallingford you have many places to eat but me personally for India food i pick this place, why? the staff are very nice to you, and the food, well lets just say if you like it hot try the phaal . but mostly i enjoy returning there.

We got a takeaway from this establishment and were amazed with the food! It tastes amazing, not greasy and filling and plenty of it. We got lamb saag and usually at other Indian takeaways or restaurants they only put a small amount of meat, but this was full of juicy lamb cooked to perfection!

Always great food and good service

Enjoyed the food but it felt like the member of staff who served us would rather we weren't there. No warmth, no polite conversation, not even a hint of a smile...just a face that could have turned us all to stone. It's not going to make us want to go back there anytime soon. Maybe the guy was having a bad day but you'd think in these tough times, you'd want to try and keep and grow your customer base. This certainly isn't the right way to go about it.

Ordered food around 5.30pm, by 7.30pm still no delivery, after calling twice we were told the driver would be an additional 20 mins as he went to the wrong place. Curry sat around in a car for 2 hours, no thanks cancelled the order and will go elsewhere from now on. Used to be a great restaurant but declining over the years and after a couple of mediocre meals we will avoid now.

Take away for 7...perfect food and service again ! A real favourite for our family.

Superb little restaurant in Wallingford. Authentic Indian cuisine with full-on flavours. Thoroughly enjoyed our meal. Huge portions, so boxed up what was left to take home.

Avoid! Ordered a takeaway at 7:10pm on a Saturday… 8:50pm it finally arrives & it was the complete wrong order!! Items missing. Incorrect curries. Attempted to call the restaurant at least 30 times over an hour period, phone lines were ‘engaged’ conveniently. First & last time we will ever use them, was warned by others but wanted to give the benefit of the doubt. Cheers!

I love this traditional Indian restaurant. The best I visit along the Thames by boat.

I collected a take away today and it was one of the nicest curries we've ever had. The Vegetable Rogon Josh was very dense with a strong delicious flavour. The sag paneer was again, dense and very tasty. Coconut rice and paswari naans were faultless. It was made very quickly, even on a Friday evening (20mins). The staff were polite. I am struggling to understand why there are some negative reviews for this restaurant as the food is so good. I felt so strongly that I had to write this review. Some seem to have criticised the delivery time, but this doesn't fairly reflect on the food quality. Collecting the take away was very fast and easy (just park for free in the Waitrose car park opposite). Highly recommend this place

Delicious Indian food, bags of flavour and good portions.

Absolutely lovely spot! It's been in Wallingford for years, and I've never had a bad curry. The food is delicious, the staff are great and the atmosphere is always nice.

The food was perfect 👌 The delivery was on time and hot. I didn’t order from here the night before because some google reviews. But someone else did and I tasted it 👌 This place is spot on and I eat in lots of curry houses around the uk and I couldn’t fault it 3 times now and all been perfect.

Placed an order on just eat, order accepted ten minutes later they cancelled the order with no explanation. Couldn't tell you if the food was good or not.

Not good. I thought I would give them another try. Big mistake. Ordered a chicken Bhuna, tasted nothing like or looked nothing like one. Tasted very much of peanut butter. Very odd taste, chicken was dry, salty and not good at all. 🤢 I managed a couple of spoonfuls, but it made me feel rather sick. On the upside they are able to put together an onion salad 😅. Never again.

I’m sorry but we didn’t get what we ordered. There’s not a lot we can do when we end up with 1 main course between 3 of us after ordering and paying for 2. I called to let the restaurant know, they said I could have another for free the next time, which isn’t going to sort out the dinner we need tonight, or that they could send another but it would be a minimum of 30-45 mins - by which time everything else we’ve ordered will be stone cold and/or others will have finished. The right thing to do would be to send the order again and collect the original one - this was not accepted, i got fobbed off with a manager not being in and would need to be so I’d have to wait until tomorrow, which again doesn’t fix the issue that we don’t have what we ordered. It’s good food, but how can we order again from here when simply you don’t get what you pay for and then are told, if you drive in we can make one for you sooner or you have to wait until everything is cold or call back tomorrow when a manager is in (not sure what they thought the outcome of that would be). Bottom line, they let me down (on my birthday too).

Unfortunately gown hill, used this place alot for a curry. Starters are clearly microwaved even basic stuff that would take minutes to prepare fresh. Curries are good but your meat to sauce ratio not so good. Unfortunately won't be returning

They close too early. They don't listen. They sent serve worst keema nan I ever had.

Been coming in here for many, many years! Never ever failed me on service & the food is consistently the best around! I’ve tried others out of convenience, but sadly they just don’t match up, so have to travel half an hour out of my area to get what I want! Lamb dish is the best around and real fresh salad. Eating out is expensive, so it’s nice to know when we do fancy an Indian dish, it’s going to match up to our ultimate satisfaction, rather than having that dread of “ I wonder how good this is going to be “. These blokes know how to provide quality & good quantity! Try it!

There was a problem with the starters last time we ordered,and was promised they would be free next time,4 weeks later,we ordered again, they indeed were free and VERY tasty, 100%percent the best in Wallingford Indian restaurant/takeaway

Tried again recently hoping things improved since their one star rating. Chicken was way overcooked and they added a random £5 to the bill!! This used to be such a great takeaway but sadly no more

Nice bit of scoff, good menu selection and a good deal on mid week.

Gave the restaurant another try for delivery. Same as before. Delivered cold, Karahi too much garlic not enough tomatoes, roti burnt to a crisp. Prawn puree cold, no lemon wedge, purees hard need more topping, prawns, tomatoes. £40 for 2 of us. Neither of us impressed. Twice in enough. This has always been our go to Indianfor eat in, but we feel food is not as good as its been in past.

In for a post training curry, excellent food. Thought I'd try something different from the "specialities" menu, did not dissapoint, highly recommended.

Just called them for a home delivery. 1 prawn puree starter 1 chicken bhuna 1 chicken tikke main 2 rice 1 bombay also 2 nan and onion salad and 2 poppadoms. They wanted 43 quid. I stick it where the sun doesn't shne

Food arrived via 'just eat' within 5 mins of eta. The dishes were very tasty, good portions, however, we ordered a garlic nan and got a plain one! A very nice nan, light, fluffy and perfectly cooked, but no garlic! Also, in my chicken dhansak I had a piece of chicken that was very dry and tough. The rest was good.

Mutton not lamb and not good either. Chewy and grey on average 45 quid for 2. I have eaten so many great Indians but the wallingford ones are so substandard

Advised 2 hour delivery, on NY Eve would expect a wait, 2 hours 30 minutes later nothing, unable to get through only set to a fax machine noise. Partner and I went down to collect and they had not even done it, waited extra 15 minutes for them to actually cook it whilst we waited outside, poor service. If no kitchen staff then shouldn't take more orders on the phone. Absolute greed !! No discount or any extra to compensate for this.

Terrible service. Order was accepted online and I received a confirmation email. When the time came for delivery, I called to see where the driver was and they had no record of my order but said they would sort it ASAP. 40 minutes later, still no contact, so I called again and again they couldn't find my order and hadnt even started cooking it. Ended up cancelling as it was so late by this point. Supposed to be a treat during a difficult time. So disappointing as I was trying to support a local business but they should not accept an order if they are not able to fulfil it and they should treat customers with honesty and respect.

Best Indian food I've had in a very long time, decent portion sizes and piping hot fresh. Highly recommend!

Very nice meal, reasonably priced and attentive staff however, it was a little cold in there. They could do with more heating.

We ate here with some friends, we all can agree, the people were helpful in recommending from the menu, we all enjoyed the meal, portions were more than adequate, some of us took doggy bags home, and to top that, it was most reasonably priced. Try and enjoy.

Deceitful padding of the bill. The three of us went on Sunday, and chose the £10.95 Sunday Special menu: any starter; any main; any rice or nan; ice cream or tea/coffee. In addition we ordered a bottle of their Merlot [[£14.95] and three poppadoms. So I was surprised to get a bill for £61.60. I couldn't see how they got from £47.80 to £61.60 via just three poppadoms. When I queried it, they explained that the poppadoms [70p] came with chilllies and chutneys [70p], to add £4.20. And of the ice creams we were offered, ONLY the plain vanilla [£1.80] was included in the menu [this was nowhere made clear], and the chocolate ones [£3.20] we chose were added at full price. So £47.80 plus £4.20 for 3 poppadoms plus £9.60 for the ice creams gets us to £61.60. They eventually, after a further phone call and haggling with the manager, offered a partial refund. I told them that they could keep my money; but NOT their reputation. A V O I D !!!

I expected the standard takeaway type food but this was actually way better. Interesting menu with dishes I didn't recognise, great flavors, will spiced, success not too oily. Really enjoyed it and will definitely go back again.

I can only attest to what I had. The chicken biryani was rather bland. The roti bread too. Handled 20 of us ok though.

Always good food here best Indian in wallingford. Quick with take away orders. Nice restaurant good decor good service good price. No parking but waitrose carpark across the road which is free after 5pm. Good selection of drink and a few ice-cream desserts. Good Sunday all you can eat deal toilets small but clean. Not a place to take your kids though its a bit small for them

Shockingly bad food. Chicken was dry, prawns were tasteless - as if both came out of deep freeze and were thrown into a base sauce. In fact all the 5 different dishes we ordered came in the same base sauce with flavouring. The fish also was thin, rubbery, tasteless and obviously just tossed into the base sauce. These dishes are not cooked in any form of Indian cooking tradition, this is not Indian food, it is not authentic. There were many rice flavours of which our table ordered 3 types - all the rices came with the same white with specks of pink and the 'flavour' added to them - coconut, etc. Quite honestly pathetic to expect us to believe this is real indian?? this is a rort! cheapest produced food even for those prices. You are better off going to Waitrose across the street and buying Charlie Bighams Chicken Tikka Masala to eat at home!! really disappointed as well since it was our last night with overseas visitors!!!. We would never go back. If you want some good Indian in Oxfordshire you probably will have to go to Oxford - try Walton St! Just an added note - the staff that served us had asked for our order twice before we had even settled into our seats, but their manner was quite condescending and cynical when we began asking questions on the menu. One mid meal was quite impatient, and when we asked for doggie bags these were literally tossed on the table??? can't fathom why people say the service is friendly? We don't often eat out but when looking for a local restaurant we demand quality and at least pleasant service.

We love this restaurant and eat here as often as we can. The staff are so friendly and always remember our names and often guess at our orders. You get a real sense that they want to look after you and feed you well. The food has always been great no matter if we eat in or out. In the 5 years we have been coming here they did get a take away order wrong once but they very quickly corrected it for us. Great food, great service, great selection.

We have had excellent meals in the Delhi Brasserie, the food is always delicious, excellent service, nothing is too much trouble. Staff welcome you on arrival which is always really nice. Delhi Brasserie is our first choice for a take away too. Happily recommended.
