Nando's Didcot in South Oxfordshire

This Nandos looks like a place from a ghetto :))) They even didn't had any Ketchup and the skinny guy brought me 3empty bottles and told me to squeeze (glass bottle) what's left from them cause they don't have anymore ..hahah terrible funny. Other staff girls were busy chatting with guys and do make up rather then filling a simple Ketchup bottle . What a joke

It was actually a quiet time at Nandos! But the staff were so friendly and well the food never fails!

Ordered chicken livers ... manager appeared at table saying they had none ....expected me to pick something else immediately !!! ... he went away and never came back until we aske the waitress twice! .. went for cesar salad ... it was horrible

The usual amazing food of a Nando’s but the staff in particular really are a credit to the place. Jordan and Scarlet were the two interacted with who really lit up the place.

Nice staff, food was nice.plates were removed soon after eating and not left on tables.

Arrived about 4:45pm & got in immediately. Completed the necessary tracing & tracking information and were shown to a table. Good explanation by staff as to how ordering a meal had again changed. A couple of issues with the use of the app and website but eventually sorted them out and submitted order. Received a discount because there was a Nandos' promotion for grandparents. Starters arrived quickly and were very tasty as were the mains which also arrived swiftly. Food was hot and portion size was really good. Had family platter and family chips + a number of other sides. Staff were attentive and polite + both helpful and pleasant. Overall a really good and positive experience. Went this evening at around 5pm. As on previous post the service was swift and efficient. Ordering was straightforward and there were no issues encountered. The accompanying grandchildren were mimicking a plague of locusts as spiced nuts, humous & pitta bread as well as sweet potato wedges & mayo were swiftly demolished followed by the chicken and chips. The red reward came in handy!!!!! The whole meal was spot on and you could tell everyone was focused on the food as silence was golden. All that could be heard was the clank of fighting irons!!!

Slow service inconsistant and disorganized waited over 30 minutes for a burger wrap came first and advacado was stale. Average to be fair

Had a lovely lunch today with my sister in law, the staff were lovely and the manager on duty was amazing when I ordered the wrong meal, and change it for me. Many thanks!

Waiting time is common, food is good, service is reasonable.

Service like this makes me wish I was a secret shopper. I, unwillingly, arrived 5 mins before closing having had my train journey disrupted by 6 hours Fay greeted me with warmth, and talked me thru options. She placed me by a socket as I mentioned my phone was running low The team served excellent food with kindness, despite probably disrupting their closing routine. As a manager in a different industry I observed the team and they genuinely worked perfectly. They communicated with each other with respect and humility, they operated efficiently, and they genuinely made me feel welcome. I felt like they genuinely enjoyed their job, and genuinely enjoyed working with each other. The management should be proud of the culture they've created. (I am happy to independently validate this if we find a way, but this is without a doubt the best nandos I've ever visited and hope the team are appropriately rewarded as a result. After a 6 hour chaotic delay, Nandos Didcot gave me a space of warmth, calm, and phone charging!)

I think the staff, I think the staff. Not welcoming enough. And I think some of the food is not that good.

Nice food, nice restaurant with friendly staff. The only downside is that the prices are now very expensive compared to previously.

Thank you for a really great meal. The food could not have been better. Escorted to a table cheerfully. Although I have no idea what, if anything, was wrong, I was just a little disappointed, and not by the young woman who greeted us.

Slightly disappointed with one of our drinks, however, had it not been for the excellent customer service that we received from staff member."Jordan", we left happy and feeling we had been listened to. Jordan is an absolute credit to your establishment, all restaurant's need a happy upbeat person like Jordan. I hope Nando's appreciate all that he does for their establishment .. well done Jordan .. Staff are always polite. Queueing service works well at busy times. Food is good, you know what you're getting at nandos.

The place is in great location with nearby parking. The decoration is beautiful. The staff are friendly. The meals are, as usual, very delicious.

It's Nandos! I love the original paintings on the wall. It was clean and food was delicious. Unfortunately they had run out of cider. Oh well, next time... :)

Husband and I often come here for Nandos after the gym. Staff are friendly and efficient, and the food is reliably tasty. Can't fault at all. Keep it up :)

Good for old British people.. too dry for young folks.. old sch settings, food is not as good as some nando dishes I tasted at different locations..

Think music could be a little quieter

The service was ok. The food was ok too, but it was way too cold. I really like the way the whole place looks. Do check the content of your meal as my extras didn't come.

Nandos app didn't work. Staff didn't know. It has dirty old furniture and dusty above arm height. Management sucking the life out of the place and probably not treating the staff well. Food was just ok. Sauces brilliant.

All Nandos are good, never been in a bad one, but this one is great. Ultra friendly staff and great service. The Manager, Louis I think his name was, was fantastic. Highly recommended.

Friendly staff and good food. My only criticism was that the Sauce, Knives and forks area was quite dirty. Cutlery containers were full of water like they had been filled from the dishwasher and ends were all swimming.

Paid 65 pounds for an order that had missing chips everything was freezing cold dry burgers , took ages also they have taken sunset burger off the menu so the only option Is the dry chicken breast burger absolute joke

Top tip. I've learned now. To stop ordering the boneless chicken thighs. They took minutes to come out. So suggests to me they are precooked and then microwaved. The meat was a little dry and tough. I'll stick to ordering chicken cooked to order. Also double check the points are added. My card although touched did not register the points from the meal.

Aircon on a cool day made it COLD, so not a relaxed meal... Food was okay but starters and mains came together :-/ Staff were pleasant and helpful, but obviously busy and rushing around.

Don’t usually leave reviews but I feel I have to tonight . Just been to Nando’s in Didcot and what a lovely guy called joe served us well what a nice guy he was. I asked about the sharing platter in which he explained so well his whole customer service was outstanding and he deserved some feedback . Didcot you have alittle gem with lovely joe . Joe don’t ever change you are so lovely 🥰

Remember when the butterfly chicken was a decent chunk of meat? Well now it’s the size of two chicken nuggets. Place was packed with 20 minute table wait but they’re still being cheap with portions. Corporate greed. Friendly staff though.

The manager greeted myself and my mother in law in a very friendly manner. She was attentive and explained the options and how to order having never dined there before. She was polite & kind as were the other members of staff I spoke with and they clearly cared enormously about the restaurant and diners! Could not recommend this branch and their friendly staff more highly. We will definitely be coming back to eat. Thank you

I know Nando's is Nando's but I did feel this one is is a cut above. Great friendly service, really good quite dramatic decor where design and customer experience has won over cramming in tables. The chicken was cooked perfectly and came out really quickly. With not too many choices in Didcot of good restaurants Nando's comes surprisingly near the top of the list.

Always a favourite. Nandos has great food, very spacious and incredibly friendly staff. The food here has been consistently good, highly recommend! Occasionally can be busy on weekday or weekend evenings so you may have to wait about 10 minutes to be seated.

Popped in here the other day it's been a long time since I've been in one of these places but had a enjoyable experience staff were very friendly and helpful food was ok

I got a stale burger (& smelly too). Coleslaw was made of unfresh veggies. Do not recommend.

Service has improved over the last year.. Food comes quicker, more attention and so far there hasn't been mistakes on our food as we had on the past.

While other branches have slipped in quality recently, we had a good experience at this branch. Food came out hot and fresh and staff were friendly. Will be a returning customer.

Nandos can be a bit hit and miss depending on the branch but this Nandos was great! The food was better than we've had in a Nandos in ages and the service was really fantastic

Went on a Monday evening as a slightly larger group and the service was phenomenal! Could not fault one bit.

Had a lovely meal and great service from Leesha and most of the staff. However when we were leaving I wanted to leave a tip. Not being local I asked a member of staff did they have a tip box, the reply I got was I'm a bit too busy. I put my cash back in my purse which is a shame as we really enjoyed our meal there.

Excellent food taste and service. Warm and friendly staff. I find the chicken in restaurants or pubs in Uk just plain 😊But Nando’s chicken full of flavour. We are a family of five enjoyed our Sunday lunch. Very Highly recommend. Thank you. X

The food is great here and well cooked compared to other nandos I visited, service is good during the week not that fast weekends but I'm happy to wait a bit..if I am here there's no rush 😜..Please 🙏 guys change the music loop sometimes..if others like me come often the music starts to be repetitive. Thanks for all your waiters smiles let me feel young again 😄

Not happy atall came here for years and had nice food but even thou they have all of the sauces I like they wouldn't sell me eny not happy atall last nadose I have deserve my money back I should of bin told about this at the door

We’ve visited here before as our local and so know what to expect, but 30 mins after ordering (remember, this is Nandos not a Michelin star restaurant) and our starters of 5 wings had not arrived is not it. However we had observed that a chicken burger which looked suspiciously like my unique order with its sides etc was getting cold and dry under the “hot lamp”. The staff were shouting and swearing at each other; lots of servers standing around, chaos in the kitchen, throwing chips and very dry and burnt garlic bread on to plates. Just generally rough. When it arrived our food was cold and the coleslaw dry, the broccoli over cooked and almost stringy from being under the hot lamp too much. Generally unpleasant. I didn’t send it back because a) I hate waste and they would have binned this and because it was b) edible in that it wouldn’t have killed me. I was also so hungry and didn’t want to have to wait again and endure the noise and assault on my senses any longer. (I’m hard of hearing and so with my hearing aids in it was either keep them in and endure this or not hear him) The food was thrown on the table near enough, and we weren’t asked how it was anyway til the end of the meal and any staff were hard to flag down. The place wasn’t jam packed but regardless it seemed chaotic with more staff than it needed and probably adding to the confusion with one guy walking around and around with a plate of wings. We were probably a luckier pair, one couple didn’t get their meals served together. We did complain, they tried to offer us some free cake. We declined and apparently they’ll send an evoucher but I’m not holding out for anything if substance and I won’t eat at that establishment for a while again if I can avoid it. They didn’t give us a £45 experience, McDonald’s or KFC would have been far better on this occasion to illustrate the point.

We were told we couldn’t eat in for at least 40 minutes. This is because they had accepted a very large takeaway order and decided to stop serving people wanting to dine in. So it’s probably a fine restaurant when it actually decides to serve customers.

Standard nandos. Since the pandemic they do look at you like they want to stab you when to try to order at the till without the app.

Service was terrible. Waited at the door around 15 min with no attendance. Waited to order in a que for around 15 min with only 1 till open. The only 2 staff members on the floor- 1 was filling up the sauce bottles and the other kept disappearing out back. The manager- well i think she was was too busy in the kitchen area. My food came with no rice and was told it would be brought soon- it came as i was finishing my food. Food was nice but it took almost an hour and a half before we left. Very very poor.

It has good AC, good location, nice and big, not over crowded, fast service.

Absolute waste of money. Extremely expensive for tiny portions. One item was missing from our delivery - there was no option to have the item replaced. Refund was given ta a fraction of the cost. Will never ever order from here again, when there are far better take-aways available.

Usual nandos, fast quick good food

Until recently I had not been to Nando’s for many years and I am now very impressed by the wide range of vegetation options. The chickpea burger is really flavoursome and the peri peri sauce has real kick! The chips were cooked extremely well and complimented the burger perfectly. I look forward to returning soon and trying some of the other options.

Went with a group of 5, 3 of us got our meals 20 minutes before they even bothered telling us they had no chicken wings so the other 2 people were watching us eat for 30+ minutes before their food had even arrived, then when the food eventually did come the chicken was charred to a crisp and bitter. The mash potato was instant mash, all gelatinous. The staff told us our food had “just been taken off the grill, and was waiting 2 minutes for it to rest” and then when we asked 20 minutes later where it was they told us they hadn’t even started cooking it and made us have chicken fillets not thighs in the burger. Very average meal and not worth the pricing, very dissapointed
