I find this store’s atmosphere consistently unpleasant, primarily due to the attitude of the staff and, most notably, the manager. The staff at this location often appear miserable and unwelcoming, making it feel as though customers are an inconvenience. This has been a recurring issue, and despite my frequent visits, the experience never improves. The manager, in particular, sets a poor example. She is visibly unhappy, unapproachable, and outright rude. Basic courtesies like “excuse me” or “thank you” are entirely absent, which I find unacceptable for a brand that prides itself on creating a welcoming environment. I’ve had numerous incidents over the past year, but today’s experience was the last straw. My sister accompanied me to the store, and after being served, she commented that it was the worst customer service she has ever experienced. This confirmed to me that it isn’t just my perception—there is a clear, systemic issue with how this branch operates. Specific issues include: 1. Attitude and Customer Service: Staff consistently display no warmth, courtesy, or willingness to serve. Requests for even small customisations to drinks—such as extra shots, alternative milk, or adjustments like no syrup—are met with resistance, frustration, or are outright ignored. 2. Manager’s Behavior: The manager’s behavior is especially problematic. One incident I recall vividly involved me asking for the door to remain closed during the winter for safety and comfort while I was with my two-year-old. Despite acknowledging my request, the manager opened the door again without explanation, leaving us in an uncomfortable and cold environment. 3. Consistent Disregard for Customer Needs: It is clear that this location lacks the fundamental customer service values that are standard at other Starbucks locations. This branch’s atmosphere is the opposite of what Starbucks promises—relaxing, welcoming, and uplifting. I continue to visit this location only because it is conveniently close to my home, but the experience leaves me frustrated and disheartened every time. Something needs to be done to address the culture at this store, as it is severely damaging to the Starbucks brand.

I am personally obsessed with this place, it offers halal food, perfect customer service, food gets done quickly, and you get great quality for what you pay for! I don’t know why there are so many negative reviews, I believe people are comparing it to other places and/or pizza stores which obviously is not fair, they offer many different types of foods from Asian food to pizzas and burgers, it is true the food quality is not the greatest but you are getting what you pay for, it is comparatively cheap and I have never once went sick due to how clean they are, some people are complaining about being sick from the pizza but maybe they’re just lactose intolerant. Overall if you’re looking for a cheap, halal, and good food then you must give them a try, don’t raise your expectations! They seem to be temporarily closed atm which sucks for me because I have been hoping to order for a few days now, I hope all is well with them.

Was horrible food the rice was old I saw her when she took it from the freezer I shooked I can’t describe when I ate one spoon of the rice after 5 minutes I started vomiting badly and the sea food soup was awful i get poisoned until my friend brought for me some medicine from Tesco hopefully I didn’t finish eating won’t back anymore never ever and also the hygiene it’s not applied

Absolutely clueless franchise that has no idea about customer service or handling online orders. Three orders in a row where we show up to find pizza isn’t ready or even in the oven. Will not return. Papa John’s up the street much much better

i ordered plain chicken wings but they had some medium sauce on them. i ate them but let our server know just in case there had been some cross contamination. they still offered a free dessert for me and one for my partner too! great service will definitely be coming back.

Whoever is Tommy, he needs to go to jail for making me a wrap like that. Frozen, I was literally cold just from eating this wrap. There was nothing in it and the taste was dreadful. Ask 4 times to get one coffee cause they couldn’t even remember that . What an experience! First and last time there .

Ordered via JUST EAT. Delivery guy phoned me twice but hung up when I answered. I called him back but didn't answer the call. I called the Take away who gave me the wrong address for my order and blamed JUST EAT. I have to say JUST EAT have not got my address wrong prior to this. I asked if they could delivery fresh 1 hour later which they did but it was just the first delivery reheated. The pork balls were limp. No apology and JUST EAT are of no use at all. Both Kwok Lai Chinese Take Away and JUST EAT need to get their act together. The food was dreadful by the way.

The place looks and smells lovely inside and I looked forward today to eating and having a cuppa with my husband. The young staff are very nice and polite, I only wish I could say the same for the owner/manager. You help yourself to a table & order at the counter. Drink orders are shouted out once they are ready for you to collect. A shame as it’s a busy place so hard to relax or have a conversation when this is going on. Food is brought to your table. My husband ordered a sausage bap which took about 15/20 minutes. I ordered 2 poached eggs on sourdough toast. This took considerably longer by then my husband had finished eating and we’d had our drinks. The toast had no butter at all & with 2 of the smallest poached eggs I’ve ever seen. One was not much bigger than a quails egg & this was overcooked & hard, the other was undercooked & snotty. I took it back & politely explained why I was returning it. The manager looked annoyed & said ‘you won’t find anywhere that butters your toast or provides butter for it’ I disagreed but he carried on saying the same thing. A young staff member said they would make it again for me. 20 mins later my food arrived & again one egg was completely hard & absolutely tiny. Although this time they had placed loads of butter pats on my plate. I returned it again but said ‘I will eat it but I just wanted to show you there is still a problem’ I didn’t want anything for me, I just wanted them to be aware. The manager then picked up the hard egg in his bare hand & looked at it before plopping it back onto my plate, saying ‘they are eggs. Eggs come in different sizes so some will be overcooked and some won’t ’ shrugging his shoulders. I replied that I wouldn’t be able to eat it now he’d handled it & he rolled his eyes & said he’d refund me in full. I was then stood at the till with him & he went on to serve 2 more customers & just ignored me.I was then handed the money for my food albeit £1 short. I asked for his name & he said ‘I’m the owner so if you are thinking of complaining then email and it’ll be me that picks it up so….’ & smirked at me. I said it’s reviews that can make or break a place and he shrugged & said ‘I don’t care, I already have 4.8 score on google.
