I find this store’s atmosphere consistently unpleasant, primarily due to the attitude of the staff and, most notably, the manager. The staff at this location often appear miserable and unwelcoming, making it feel as though customers are an inconvenience. This has been a recurring issue, and despite my frequent visits, the experience never improves. The manager, in particular, sets a poor example. She is visibly unhappy, unapproachable, and outright rude. Basic courtesies like “excuse me” or “thank you” are entirely absent, which I find unacceptable for a brand that prides itself on creating a welcoming environment. I’ve had numerous incidents over the past year, but today’s experience was the last straw. My sister accompanied me to the store, and after being served, she commented that it was the worst customer service she has ever experienced. This confirmed to me that it isn’t just my perception—there is a clear, systemic issue with how this branch operates. Specific issues include: 1. Attitude and Customer Service: Staff consistently display no warmth, courtesy, or willingness to serve. Requests for even small customisations to drinks—such as extra shots, alternative milk, or adjustments like no syrup—are met with resistance, frustration, or are outright ignored. 2. Manager’s Behavior: The manager’s behavior is especially problematic. One incident I recall vividly involved me asking for the door to remain closed during the winter for safety and comfort while I was with my two-year-old. Despite acknowledging my request, the manager opened the door again without explanation, leaving us in an uncomfortable and cold environment. 3. Consistent Disregard for Customer Needs: It is clear that this location lacks the fundamental customer service values that are standard at other Starbucks locations. This branch’s atmosphere is the opposite of what Starbucks promises—relaxing, welcoming, and uplifting. I continue to visit this location only because it is conveniently close to my home, but the experience leaves me frustrated and disheartened every time. Something needs to be done to address the culture at this store, as it is severely damaging to the Starbucks brand.

The manager here is so rude to her staff because of a small mistake the manager doesn’t know how to work under pressure and she doesn’t know how to keep it professional and she’s always got a slapped face for some weird reason it’s not hard to leave your job if you really hate it this much and she hardly helps her trainees too Starbucks need to have a control of this store

Good luck getting served here. In the past month, I've had to walk out five times due to not being served. The staff will clean tables, sort the cakes, wipe around, all while the queue builds. Even if there is no visible queue, they will complete every online order before turning to people in the store. Once I'd placed an order and waited so long for it to be made, I eventually had to leave without it or miss my train. There are lots of other coffee shops in Egham. Even the coffee machine in Budgens is a better bet.

Lots of power outlets, big and spacious and not too echo-y. The coffees were fine and you get a great view out onto the street for people watching. Everything you want from a Starbucks. I stayed for about three hours on my laptop.

Ello ello, me back again, reviewing another brilliant business I am. Got served here just the other day by this Igor bloke, proper gentlemen he is through and through. Anyways I was coming back from the shops with my 6 pack of Stella, then I went into the Starbucks for a coffee, proper good it was, gave me the energy to listen to me annoying wife for the rest of the night.

Spacious dog friendly Starbucks just off Egham high street. Lots of tables to work from or meet up with friends and family. The toilets are free and in good condition. Oh and the matcha green tea frappucino is amazing.

I waited for 5 minutes before someone appeared to take my order - at 16.35 they were tidying up to close I think - there was no smile or welcome. I order a brownie and flat white to sit in - the coffee came in a take cup - no shout to say it was ready - when I went to get it and asked was it my flat white? Yes. Was the reply - no smile The place had 4 other customers when I arrived - every table except 1 was dirty and every seat had crumbs on it… I don’t think I have ever been to such a soulless Starbucks ever before and I won’t be back.

For a week this branch has not had breakfast tea bags, which to me is like being one step away from a coffee shop having no coffee. Being off the high street, surely an emergency box of tea bags could have been bought. Also, you never know if drinking in they resort to giving you paper cups because there is some issue with the dish washer or crockery. Who manages this place?

Who doesn’t love Starbucks but I specifically love coming here the staff are so welcoming, friendly and very professional, the drinks are amazing the store always spotless specially the toilets ;) that alone says a lot about a place! You can tell they do really work hard to please everyone, always smiling and they always remember my name, they make me feel very welcomed, of course we do crack jokes so they do all have good sense of humour specially Simona she is the store manager very professional and helpful and Hannah the assistant manager and to be honest all the staff there are awesome because some days I go and not always same staff there but no matter when I rock up there they all very friendly and polite, the drinks are spot on every time and overall a very clean store and such fantastic atmosphere no matter how busy they are they always smile and make people happy and feel welcomed, I love coming here. Well done guys ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

Came in today for some lunch. The cafe was slightly busy but I didn’t have to wait long for my order to be taken. I was ready to go to the side and wait for my food but Hayden went above and beyond by bringing my toastie and tea over to my table. This was a very kind gesture. Definitely will return.

Come in regularly and the baristas are always so lovely. Emmie is usually in when I come to this Starbucks and she is polite and very helpful! Can’t say I agree with all the reviews saying they’re rude? Definitely a lovely set of employees when I went in!

everything else was alright but the coffee. The coffee tasted unlike any of the other Starbucks I have been to and I will go as far as to say any other coffee outlet in general. I don't know what they are doing but they are doing something wrong! I have tried: latte, caramel cold brew, brown sugar espresso, mocha, cappuccino. maybe it is something to do with the water? Anyways, BOYCOTT STARBUCKS to support the Gaza cause !!!! all efforts should be made to end genocide. do not support companies that profit and pour money and resources to GENOCIDE

Rude staff. I popped in today and I was totally ignored. I tried to get Poppy’s attention. I said “excuse me, please”. She said “one sec” with a very annoyed face. The second never ended and she let me stand there like an idiot. I then tried to speak to Simona. Also impossible. I decided to leave without ordering and Poppy saw me leaving and didn’t try to reverse the situation. They kept tidying up and cleaning because it closes at 5pm and it was 4:45m. They clearly didn’t want to take any orders. They didn’t care about the customers. There was another group of people there and I overheard them saying their pumpkin latte tasted bad and not like it does in other branches. It was my first visit to the town of Egham as my daughter started uni there this week. I was very excited to see a Starbucks there so I am very disappointed!

Disappointed. I was queuing for my order, before me just one Lady. After 1 minute or so 2 girls joined the queue. I ordered my coffee and I went to the other side to wait for my coffee (a simple iced americano). The lady before me took her coffee and she came back because it was full of foam. I was waiting and waiting for my coffee, I thought that maybe the staff forgot to male my coffee. I asked to a girl behind the bar and she said that the coffee was coming. But I realized she was making the coffees for the girls that arrived after me. And surprise… those girls looked they were staff members since they went to the room behind the bar. This is not Starbucks standards! Unbelievable. You let wait a customer because you want to serve your friends/staff first? It took ages to get an iced americano. And it felt like I didn’t have the right to ask about my order. I do strongly suggest to review the rules and what a customer experience is. - my coffee didn’t taste good either :( The place is nice, shame it is missing the Starbucks standards.

It’s a great adition for Egham but the staff are terrible it’s like they open and close however they fell like. Igot there at 17:30 and they roll their eyes when you order at that time or just tell you they don’t have any caramel Frappuccino so you leave and they don’t have to work. Also program said it was open until 19:00 and I got there at 18:10 and it was closed. Plus they barely know what their are doing as the Frappuccino doesn’t always have the same taste. Not all the staff member there a couple that are very polite and hardworking but unfortunately for them they have to cary the hard load for all the lazy ones

Great addition to Egham, good for working in as has power sockets for laptop charging and clean toilets. Staff could be friendlier, but very pleasant and always busy. Location is great as it's near the train station and has lots of seating indoor and out.

I had a pleasant experience at this Starbucks shop. The young guy who served me had a nice attitude and quickly addressed an issue with the payment card reader. Though there was a slight discrepancy, he assured me that I would only be charged £3.30 as intended. Unfortunately, I was mistakenly charged £5, but the young supervisor handled the situation professionally and kindly. They couldn't refund on the system but managed to resolve it using cash from the tipping jar. Overall, it was a positive visit with great customer service! 😄

Going regularly for my blonde mocha but this is second time staff been busy with their colleagues talking while make drinks. Where I end up with ridiculous taste. One time they forgot to put oatmilk and 2nd time it was tasteless due to lack of concentration while making drinks. So I end up buying same stuff from different starbucks and paid twice for 1 drink. Absolutely ridiculous service. Very disappointed !!!!

Currently sat in this establishment. 3 member of staff just walked outside to sit and chat, leaving one woman to make drinks for a queue of 13 people meaning most are having to wait over 10 minutes for their orders. She was wonderful but this happens all the time here. Very poorly managed.

The Café has a nice atmosphere and very cleanly however at the tills there was a rude worker named 'Varsha', she raised her voice at me when I asked her to repeat herself after she mumbled something. Once I gave my order for 'Dine in' she then proceeded to raise her voice at me again - shouting 'YOUR NAME?' twice. During her taking my order she seemed to be preparing food for someone else and had to pause taking my order to take it out the oven however sadly after she took it out the oven and turned around to resume my order her very long hair which was not tied up properly swept over the food she just took out, disgusting!!! I couldn't help but note after that she seemed to touch her hair a lot and then touch food items or cups without washing her hands what sort of training has she had? When I went to collect my drink it was in a take away cup with the label saying café-to-go which I clearly said I was DINING IN, the baristas dealt with it quickly putting my drink into a mug and apologized. The rest of the staff are very friendly and I like Starbucks but Varsha has ruined this store for me and I shall not be returning. Please be wary when Varsha is at the tills and you want to order food!!!!!! Especially if you value your HEALTH!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

🤢🤮The hygiene standards are very worrying! Even my plumber commented on it as he felt ill once eating here. Family fell ill eating here, complained to food standards, however they said it's the 1st complaint received. If you get sick, also complain!

I am personally obsessed with this place, it offers halal food, perfect customer service, food gets done quickly, and you get great quality for what you pay for! I don’t know why there are so many negative reviews, I believe people are comparing it to other places and/or pizza stores which obviously is not fair, they offer many different types of foods from Asian food to pizzas and burgers, it is true the food quality is not the greatest but you are getting what you pay for, it is comparatively cheap and I have never once went sick due to how clean they are, some people are complaining about being sick from the pizza but maybe they’re just lactose intolerant. Overall if you’re looking for a cheap, halal, and good food then you must give them a try, don’t raise your expectations! They seem to be temporarily closed atm which sucks for me because I have been hoping to order for a few days now, I hope all is well with them.
