The best restaurants in Abbey Reading South East

A pleasant place to dine and eat cake!

Came for our daughter’s 18th birthday today nice cocktails made by Vicky (berry blush I recommend)! :)

This was my go to place for lunch but it has gone down hill dramatically! No care is taken with the food prep anymore. The Green Park restaurant is where I go now.

Second time we visited and both times food was served half hot and half stone cold. Both times they just put it back in the microwave and bring it out again without a word of apology. Bad food, bad staff, do not go here.

Poor quality and service, £3.70 for a SMALL black Americano (ie no milk or skill required) should be amazing but far from it. Just a plain old Starbucks coffee. Served with monosyllabic generally grumpy lady who sadly doesn’t enjoy her job - my advice, go to Costa!

Went to play shuffleboard but I mucked up the time, but Mailona was fantastic and sorted us playing darts instead. Thx you

I am not a coffee fan. I have friends and family members that are, very much, coffee fans. That means that they like Starbucks. So I have been to many Starbucks over the years. I wanted to put that in context before I said this. This is one of the nicest Starbucks that I have ever visited! It is located on the north side of the cobblestone walking part of Broad Street. It is a corner store and has large windows along both sides of the store. The inside of the store has more and more types, of seating than I have seen in other stores. It has light wood floors, comfortable chairs, and various table chair combinations. The store was very inviting and clean although busy. The staff was very friendly and helpful. The counter is located along the east side of the store in the standard store configuration. The menu is behind the counter and they had a good collection of food and drinks that you would expect at these stores. You order at one end of the counter and pay and your drinks are delivered at the other end. I got an iced tea and was pleased with the results. Overall it was a very pleasant experience that I would recommend to travellers in the area both as a respite from a busy travel day or just a place to get a good relaxing drink. Enjoy!

Sería útil que el personal estuviera más informado sobre alergias porque mientras puedo comer cualquier cosa, una de las otras es sin gluten y por un momento parecía que no habría nada adecuado (pero finalmente se identificó algo en el menú que ella podría comer). Su desconocimiento de los componentes de artículos particulares tampoco me fue útil cuando intentaba elegir entre las personalizaciones disponibles para lo que quería pedir para mí.

Pensé en darle otra oportunidad, pero desafortunadamente aún luchas constantes, cobraron 8-10 entradas, una operación mal administrada con tendencia frecuente a la violencia (¡a veces de las personas que trabajan allí!)

Once upon a time I lived and worked in Italy, making pizza's.... These are well and truly some of the most authentic and best tasting pizzas I have had and I have to admit, better than mine. Will definitely be coming back for more!

A lovely cafe. While we were here for morning coffee and cake it was pleasantly quiet - we very much appreciated this. It is hard to find somewhere quiet without music playing these days. You choose your table, order and pay at the counter and then your order is brought to your table. The home-made chocolate brownie was delicious - I would recommend!

This shop made me depressed I paid like a tenner for a tiny little pathetic pasty, the crust was chewy and the filling tasted like dirt instead of steak. After I ate my pathetic pasty I felt like jumping into the tracks at reading station my stomach had seen better days and so had my bank account do not buy there pasty’s as it is an abomination and hate culture towards the Cornish.

Such lovely staff, especially Grace and Alfie who were so nice and made it a brill experience. Pancakes were very good - didn’t realise they offered them! 😄😄
