Favourite Chicken in Reading

I went over the weekend, asked for a portion of small chicken wings, the man asked if I wanted 100?? when I said why? because I’m overweight? His face dropped and told his female employee to stop laughing and get the wings, very unprofessional, obviously assumed I was apart of the drunk crowd that surrounded me

Chicken wings with fired chips are the meal set I order most frequently. Juicy, crispy and fresh. It’s so memorable to me when I was in the UK. (Photos are shot by my friend.)

This is not like your local chicken shop. I’ve only been twice but each time the chips are made fresh to order and the burgers are made with care - also fresh - doesn’t taste like anything has been waiting around even if it has. Not stingy on the sauce in burgers and always give tissues.

honestly the only reason I went there was cos I was hungry from a whole day's worth of walking, but with honesty I can say the food is nice if you're looking for a nice bite to grab although I got a more expensive meal (it was for my siblings) there are also options starting from 6£s if you are eating alone but that's the only price I can remember when I was there, there might be something cheaper idk so summary? nice cheap options for either yourself or a +1 or more and it's halal just note the 9£ one that I got was chicken burger and the 6£ one was beef I think didn't order it so I wouldn't know just ask the cashiers they'll tell you which one is which

I been going Favourite Chicken since I was a little boy. We used to sit downstairs when the seating area used to be there and have jokes. Food has always been a 10 and the staff show a lot of love. The amount of chicken I've eaten from here no one has. The amount of wings I've eaten from here no one has. Ask Raja and K. They packed me boxes and boxes. 😂

Just now bought one 6 bbq wings combo.But they provide 4 chicken small pieces and one small other piece.Highly disappointed chicken not fresh and bbq taste was not good at all.Please request you to improve the taste and deliver it carefully with all check.

They tried to mislead me into buying the large portion of chips by not telling me there was a regular option until I asked, and when I asked why I was not told both options to begin with, they were rude and tried to put the blame on me. Would never visit again and would give zero stars if it was possible.

Staff quiet and not helpful, atmosphere bad and other customers disrespectful of staff and other customers, chicken gave my whole family food poisoning. So if you want food poisoning and to have a rough time then definitely go here

Large doner kebab is £9.00 but it was not large, it was small portion, cut into cubes to make plate look fuller but it still looked small. Crafty.

Chips were chips burger meat tasteless, chicken was dry, shop was dirty

Usually the best chicken filler burger in reading but they’ve changed the burgers. Not nice now. Bring back the normal fillet burgers

Ideal for a bite to eat after leaving the club, but a few weeks ago there was another price sign at night and the prices were double and I think it was the same item, I don't think that's fair.

Not great, The wings were ok but the chicken tasted like it had been sitting a long time. Expensive compared to the same order at KFC. Shame, some other fried chicken shops are better than KFC this wasn’t one of them.

Told me to wait 10 minutes then he served another customer so I left bad customer service

I wish I could give this place no star. I usually don't write bad reviews but this place extort drunk people by overcharging them. We went there on Sunday morning after a club night out and they tried to charge us £86 for meal that cost £9.99. They thought we were drunk, and when they got caught, the guy at the till pretended it was a mistake. Make sure you check the amount on the machine before swiping your card. They well steal your money. If you complain they will pretend it was an error. Avoid this place at all cost. They charged my friend £20 for a burger. They're thieves working in this place and exploiting people, and in fact taking advantage of drunk people.

Worst food ever! Ordered cheesy chips, the chips were raw and the cheese was like straw, I had to return them as they weren't edible and I was drunk so that's saying something 🙃 Ordered chicken and spat feathers save yourself the tenner!

A Regular customers of the favourite chicken, but the restaurant experience is on a different level! Really enjoyable atmosphere and a clean, focused menu with enough choices without it being overwhelming.

The second time now i've been given a different price, and the second time i didn't pay it. There are different prices depending on when you arrive if they think you're drunk, then you pay more

What an amazing chicken shop! Absolutely delicious food. The chicken is fresh and cooked to perfection, it’s 10/10 on flavour and very succulent. The customer service provided was fantastic, especially by Shamus. What a geezer. I would highly recommend favourite chicken, it’s most certainly the best in Reading. I had the worse tasteless and not properly cooked chicken and chips there, I went there as I use to like Perfect chicken food there , but now turn to rubbish food . Maybe for drunk people after clubs is ok as they don’t feel taste much , but not while sober .

The food is always very good. We tried many dishes, all were good. My favourite is the chicken kebap. Though there are a lot of other amazing dishes to choose. The staff is nice, friendly and efficient. Delivery is always on time as well.

We came 2 days earlier and we’ve got chicken donor it was delicious but today the chicken taste like it’s from yesterday and it’s so horrible we couldn’t finish it even that we’re so hungry! And the staff aren’t friendlily in my both visits.

I order every night from this restaurant, i went to pick up my order and asked the guy to give me garlic sauce, at first he told me Bye for several times, than i asked him again can you give me garlic sauce he gave me garlic sauce and wanted me to return the small ketchup because he gave me garlic sauce 😑😑 and i gave him back the ketchup, this is not happening for the first time and its not just me, all my friends know the place like ooo the place where they dont give you sauce and napkins, disappointed of that. This restaurant is off my list now

Food is okay but the staff are plain RUDE!

I decided to give this takeaway a go after reading the previous review. Unfortunately i was bitterly dissapointed with the food, wish i hadn't ordered. The chicken in the fillet burger tasted a bit tangy as was the chicken in the wrap meal. Got to admit, the chips were nice. However, all in all, the food just wasn't up to good standard I'm afraid.

Unhygienic place! Disgusting workers that show they don't want to work there at night and heard them in the kitchen coughing directly towards food surfaces.

Just had to write a review because of all the bad ones I see and don't understand. This place is the late opening spot which gets mad busy when clubs close. So the service can be a little stern when it's late. BUT. I've been going here for more than 10 years. Kebabs are best in town, no question.. Chilli sauce is HOT though. So be warned. Chicken wings and spicy fillet burgers are also best in town. Plus the guys who work there have never been anything but nice to me and the huge majority of people I see in there. The only time I've seen one of them rude is when a drunk guy was trying fight him once holding up the large queue.

Shocking they took an order when it was busy I phoned up again in the que and asked if it was done and the said no pizza left it is terrible I through a maccies chicken nugget that is propa fast food that you get when you order

Best chicken and kebab shop in Reading.

Disgusting Food - I went in there with family and came out half sick. Their food or the burger wasn't done properly. Also customer service is subzero, how is this place even running? I woke up sick but remedied this by some home-made tea. No one should go there... should be reported to the H&S Officer. Yuck!!
