The best restaurants in Abbey Reading South East

Can get a little busy on main shopping days and is on occasion, difficult to get a seat. That said, the coffee and atmosphere are great and the location is just about perfect.

Before I have spent my time here with my partner and I totally enjoyed it and the hot chocolates there was the perfect temperature and tastes utterly delicious. However, it was a bummer that people spend too long in the igloos and it's a shame that they would stay there for hours. When we asked the staff about when we can sit in the igloos the man was quite rude to be honest. Just visited again in 2021 and the electricity is down so no heating available or lights for the outside seating area.

We had the worst experience at the the Oracle Branch in Reading. The staff member, a lady of African origin, most likely Nigerian, was aggressive and abnoxious. We wanted to exchange one of the donuts for another amd she just started blasting us for no reason. Clearly not trained and not fit to be In a customer facing job. The matter got so out of hand that we had to call the Mall Security to intervene. The branch manager was nowhere to be seen. Can you imagine the unnecessary stress just to eat a donut!!! The management needs to address this issue with urgency, otherwise that staff member will successfully shut that branch. Feel totally disappointed and violated!!! Incident happened at 2pm on 5th April 2022.

Not great by any means. Staff seemed nice enough, though when giving feedback on the bland chewy food, it appeared they didn't want to listen. A £4 reduction was given on the Rigatoni Arrabbiata Al Forno.. of which I ate a few bits of pasta. Very bland and the cheese on top was incredibly chewy. I can only imagine this is a frozen reheated meal. Would not recommend. Wouldn't go back.

Tracey saved me money on a meal but i also came in months later and although she didnt remember me her kindness made me remember her and she reiterated this quality when i hurried in JUST to use the toilet.I experienced this quality or trait again and pulled her aside t say dont ever allow anyone o thing to strip u of this attribute its truly beautiful especially in a fast paced n busy food restaurant. We can all be nice bht are ready t turn in the worst of people because of som6or someone else tgrn u weren't truly the individual i saw her integrity and conztance and told protec t it cah its too easy t lose in the 2025 workd we reside in.A genuine person!Co stant guarding her good traits w integrity. For a standard chain place, the quality of Kokoro is insane for the price. I tend to order the sweet and chilli chicken with rice. The rice is sticky and perfectly made, the chicken is slightly crispy and the sauce is really sweet and spicy. You get your food within one minute. The only criticism I have is the size of the joint. Three of four small tables to fit one or two people inside.

After reading the negative reviews I think it’s mandate to write reality. The place has authentic Indian street snacks and their chutneys are also very authentically made(some who is into cooking can tell it). It’s clearly written outside on their board Indian street snacks so do not expect 5 star hotel’s cafeteria ambience. At the price they offer, it’s the best they can. Lovely driver , would order again

Good range and nice atmosphere. However the food quality isn't particularly great for the cost. The offering went down hill after covid. Also the coming and going of the delivery drivers mean that it gets very cold if your seated in the back.

Ordered something called Misal pav, it’s the worst food I ever tasted in my life. I’m afraid if something happens to my stomach. Just the vada pav was OK OK. Will never visit again.

Nos sentimos muy decepcionados con nuestra visita de hoy. La comida es de mala calidad. Mi esposo comentó sobre el hecho de que no hay arroz tipo mexicano para tener con la comida mexicana. Mi hija tenía unos mejillones, pero parecía que habían estado sentados allí mucho tiempo y eran como goma. Le dije que no se los comiera porque no queríamos que se enfermara. Los churros eran duros como la roca, me recordaban a los palitos de pan, eran así de duros. No lo hemos estado durante muchos años, y por 112 libras no volveremos. Mala relación calidad-precio para la comida de mala calidad y luego para colmo cuando pagué, estaban gruñones de que no estaba pagando el cargo por servicio discrecional. No hay mucho servicio aparte de limpiar placas, e incluso eso fue esporádico. En un momento tenemos una gran colección de platos al final de la tabla.
