I just ordered some food worth 17 pound , I feel it’s better have flee market food rather than from these place , everything cold and soggy . Can’t even consume the way the food is , the fries they feel like been cooked 4/ 5 hour ago . Chicken is tasteless . Would suggest never order from here .

Updated: 15/04/2025. KFC had a responded to me, requesting that I click a link to resolve matters. Something which I did before making this review and as I was not happy with the treatment I received from the KFC care Squad , who should be called “ KF-Careless Squad “ . Did nothing to rectify or offer any form of compensation for my terrible experience. So unless you are going to actually address the customer correctly, don’t try adding cute words to my review to hide your flaws. ——————————————————————— Actual review Awful experience. I did not want to leave this terrible review, but after reaching out to the KFC care squad and not getting compensated for my experience, I have no choice but to let it out. The card machines at the tils were not working. The toilets were not available. The mash was a mandatory order in a 10 pcs share bucket, but for some reason the mash had to be denied due to health and safety issues I guess, so I was given additional fries like had originally requested, but was denied upon first request. No napkins were given , no condiments were offered. No paper trays were given to a family of five who have just purchased a 10pms share bucket . Are we supposed to put the chicken and fires onto the dirt tv filthy tables. The so called salad was dirty lettuce in a tub with an inch of dressing ? Shocking The staff were so miserable and unmotivated . My order was delayed from the start, it’s clearly on my receipt . As I waited a lady came to the counter and requested cerium chicken pieces. And she was denied, so she questioned this , the staff said it’s policy not to listen to the customer and give what we wish. She said well I have been to numerous kfc restaurants and never had an issue before. The staff said well this is a halal restaurant so it’s different management here . The lady requested her money . The manager had to be called . He couldn’t be bothered to do refund so offered the lady 2 out of the 4 pieces of chicken to her preference. She said no. He said what about 3 pieces then , she said no. He said ok all 4 pieces as you like. By now she was frustrated and just wanted to leave with her money. A halal restaurant should not judge the customer differently . After all it’s stil kfc. Or put on the door . Halal KFC Halal Rules. All kfc restaurants should be treated the same in the UK.

Tracey always provides a smiling face and a warm welcome into the restaurant! It’s understandable with long and busy days people don’t always have the energy to go the extra mile to be smiley and positive but over the years I have never seen Tracey not greet me or anyone else getting food with a smile and allowing for some laughter and light.Great service ,thank you again Tracey !:)

The chicken was very greasy, and the chips were a little undercooked. But apart from that it was good.

I wanted to use the student discount but needed to pay at the counter, the funniest thing happened, the front desk could only accept cash, and the service staff rudely told me that if you want to use the student discount, please go outside to exchange cash before coming back, which means that if you hold a credit card, you cannot use the student discount. To a certain extent, my student discount is invalid in this store. This situation makes me very disappointed with KFC.

Worst KFC ever! Yukkkk The food tasted bad and smelled strange, nothing like other KFCs. The staff didn’t seem happy to serve customers and were very unorganized. It wasn’t just slow service—there was no service at all. The whole place smelled awful!

Quick, easy and OK if you're in a hurry to anywhere. Does what it says on the tin - you know what you will get at the KFC. Place reasonably clean and tidy. Service can be a little slow at busy times, but that's to be expected.

Friend and I ordered at the same time, I got my food. She waited 20 mins, lady calling out the orders ignored her and was visibly annoyed when my friend asked about her order, giving free food to those who hadn’t waited as long as my friend. I will be honest, I don’t think this lady is prepared to work in a “high stress” environment, quite rude to customers and staff, especially the other lady packing delivery orders.

As usual the food was great. Unfortunately, I asked for drumsticks and didn't get any! Also, no napkins

The gravy is absolutely fantastic! The chicken was a bit greasy but, delicious all the same. Unfortunately, no napkins were supplied. That is the only complaint I have.

Lift broken, accessible toilet on the first floor. No at table service holders which would help with aforementioned accessibility needs. Just not good enough, would never have come in had I known this.

I recently visited KFC, hoping to enjoy a meal of crispy fried chicken, but my experience was nothing short of appalling. As I bit into my piece, I discovered a chicken feather embedded within the batter! Shocked and disgusted, I immediately approached the staff about this. Instead of an apology or any hint of concern, they casually dismissed it, stating, ‘This is the kind of chicken we get from up, and then we batter and serve it to you.’ This is completely unacceptable. KFC should prioritize food quality and cleanliness, not serve customers meals that are clearly prepared with zero attention to detail. If this is what KFC considers ‘normal,’ then they are failing miserably. I’m utterly disappointed and disgusted. I won’t be returning until KFC commits to providing properly prepared, safe food for its customers.” Let me know if you’d like any adjustments!

The thing i ordered is advertised on TV as £7 yet it was £12 plus normal Just Eat fees. I think KFC are having a laugh.

Courier was showing at restaurant for last 35 minutes but shows as food prepared but within 1 minute courier turned up in the address. So I think the the courier or the shop is fiddling the times or the courier has deliberately didn’t switch on the tracking. As a customer we need know what time counter let the shop so that we plan ahead which may be you use this service but this is not happening. This is the 4th time I have this issue. So reported it. What you can do about this? One more thing

Honestly speaking it’s the worst KFC chicken I ever ate, the food was cold, 13 fries and chicken was overcooked and dry. I won’t recommend anyone to go there and I’m definitely not going back

I won't eat KFC anymore because of the dirt in these places! I didn't even have anywhere to sit because the tables were full of stuff, the floor and the chairs were sticky! It's a nightmare with cleaning all over the UK! Change personal because you will lose from the start

My fillet tower burger was soaked in BBQ sauce and mayo so much that the while thing was soggy! The burger tasted burnt and so I could not finish it. My chips were not fresh and so I couldn't eat them. Not a great experience.

Dirty, poorly prepared food and barely a smile between all the staff.

Really lovely lady called Tracey, I was really struggling to understand using kiosks and she made me feel very comfortable. Kept smiling even when all the other staff seemed unhappy. Defiantly coming back for some lovely fried chicken.

The only halal KFC in the ends. I give it 5 Star just for that. Certain man say all the KFCs in the UK are halal because the chicken comes from the same place but them man dont even pray. Anyway, big up Tracey, she's soo friendly and is always in a good mood.

This Place is absolutely ridiculous. My mother was ordering food for me and my family. Some how one of the KFC workers forgot to give me my drink and chips . No one should get take out food in the kfc . They shouldn’t forget about my drink and chips . Next time they should never forget about my chips and drink . NEVER GO TO THIS KFC IN READING

I was enjoying lunch with my husband. Meanwhile someone was watching my bags and other customer’s belongings. Luckily a friendly colleague of KFC diner, her name Tracey, was able to point it out before me and my husband could. So grateful! Great sincere and kind service.
