Lees Garden Take Away in Reading

We order from here for all our Chinese food and we have been very happy with every order very tasty food cooked to perfection very friendly staff very happy.

First time I tried Lees garden and not only was the staff really friendly but the food was absolutely lovely...definitely going to be my regular takeaway from now on!!

Food was delivered late was told it just left and was piping hot to be delivered cold food.never use this company again 😡🤬

Ordered takeaway and the food was very tasty. This meal isn't in the menu but next time you order spare ribs from here, consider asking for it to be in black bean sauce. Absolutely delicious, amazing stuff.

What a total load of rubbish. Asked for a korna,mild curry and nearly blew customers head off. All the food was cold and had to play hunt the meat in the chow meins. Wasnt cheap either.Won't be going there again

Food is good. The receptionist on the phone was amazing. She looked after my mum. Did everything she could to make her comfortable whilst she was in the establishment. Thank you so much Miss Lady ❤️

Ordered a chicken chow mein unfortunately could not eat it as it tasted like It was cooked in old used oil.also noticed other people had he same experience .😔

Sorry to say, we did not enjoy our food. The Beef Szechuan was saturated with carrots (?) and the chicken chopped suey was bland with undercooked onions. Takeaway service was prompt.

Been recommended this place but i wont be rushing back in a hurry. Food is over priced and food is average can get food cheaper and better tasting food from other places in the area

Dont usally come here but go sing was shut Food was bland and tasted of old oil veg sweet and sour tasted off best thing was prawn crackers and the fizzy drink never again I threw away 30 quids worth of food waste of money

Chips as dry as a camel without water the salt and pepper chicken even dryer than that I would say as dry as a river without water ( jaw ache ) lemon chicken on point but the egg fried rice had one piece of egg in it I like egg in my egg fried rice ?

Never had a bad chinese from here and always hot and tasty food. Would rate Lee's as one of the best ive had.

Item's missing from order, informed them over the phone to which I was told they would get them straight out to us, they never arrived.

Had the shredded chicken with sweet chilli sauce and chips rice sauce combo, all extremely hot when I got home and delicious food keep it up very satisfied

Genuinely the best Chinese take away in Reading. We have used Lee's Garden for some 25 odd years. All dishes we buy have good depth of flavour and a plethora of ingredients of sound quality. I cannot comment on how many times it has changed hands over the years' - or whether it has changed hands, but quality has been consistent with the occasional glitch as you would expect. Singapore chow mein and Beef with green peppers and black bean with extra chilli are sublime.

The guy who answered the phone was rude. Not recommended

First time the food came with no flavour at all!!! No sauce and the ribs were really bland! It doesn’t matter how busy you are it’s not acceptable. Won’t be order again!

Use to be brilliant, but the last two times it's been disappointing. Last night we were told 1.15 mins wait and it took 1.40 mins, could live with this but food was cold and bit bland. I called Lees garden to let them know food was cold and very late, didn't want ask or expect anything other than a apology. Gentleman I spoke to was very rude and said it was my fault for not chasing the order and never apologised till I said I thought it was poor service. He then hung up on me. Lees garden don't deal with customs very professionally. Would NOT recommend

Had a Chinese meal from lees garden last night had to wait 2 hours for delivery when food did arrive absolutely freezing cold and tasted disgusting food like rubber heard how there is new chefs but believe me they cannot cook people b4 these were lovely now not good at all won't be going there again

Waited an 1 hour and 15 mins to be told food will be another 45 minutes. Cancelled order as not willing to wait 2 hours for food.

Love lees garden usually have it every week but very disappointed this time the rice was over cooked and the chicken was like rubber

Get food quite often from there and usually very satisfied. Last time wasn’t great and rang to inform them. We ordered today and received the dishes we were disappointed with last time for free. Was very happy with the quality of the the food and just as important the excellent customer service. Highly recommend them.

Delicious and the delivery was very quick too. Definitely be ordering from here again and must say the samosas were lush

Will not use them again,chicken balls (not they were balls)over cooked.took over hour and twenty minutes from order to deliver and when I phoned to ask the person who answered the phone was rude 2 stars is only for the portion sizem

Been there several times, always happy with the lady at the counter. Very friendly and lovely lady. Giving her five stars but having bad experiences with the kitchen been too slow, waited for 40 minutes in the shop. But overall I’m happy good service worth the wait.

Not my usual place but was very disappointed, everything we had bar salt & pepper chicken was bland and tasteless, thin consistency to sauces too. Meal deals not worth the money either, should put chicken balls in separate bag like most places do so they don’t come delivered a soggy mess.

Would be 0 if I could give it, 4 hours after ordering had to drive up to find out it hasn't even started being cooked then get fobbed of by the rudest member of staff I've ever had the displeasure of meeting and manager wouldn't come out to speak to me

It's the first time for ages that we've had a takeaway from Lee's Garden & we were very impressed with the food and the delivery. We had a king prawn dish which was delicious and lots of them!

No good no more , I ordered crispy duck - tasted of fish - no acceptance of the mistake they made - not prepared to apologise , not prepared to give refund so I'm not prepared to order from here anymore !

Awesome dishes. And they listen. If you ask for extra spicy for example. That's how it comes. Pork with chilli and garlic. Is a favourite of mine.

I have tried various takeways in Reading, and have decided Lee Gardens is my favourite. Food meets my expectations, and I have never had any problems. Staff seem friendly. I always collect, so I park in Asda to avoid the need to pay for parking. It took me a while to find, but I have not been any where else.

Always gone to Lees garden and loved it but tonight very poor my boyfriend had duck which was more fatty than neat and I had special chow me in which I usually do but such small pieces of meat and very dry very dussapointed

Delivery took over 3 hours to arrive , when called to find out where the food was , had very rude and unpleasant woman on the other side of the phone . Food was average, arrived cold and missed 2 dishes. PLEASE STAY AWAY

¡No ordene de Lees Garden!En primer lugar, la comida estaba fría ya que tuvimos que esperar más de 3 horas por nuestra comida porque el conductor se fue a otra casa. Cuando llamamos preguntando dónde estaba la comida, la señora fue bastante irrespetuosa y terminó la llamada y puso la línea en ocupado para que no pudiéramos volver con ella. Tan pronto como abrimos la comida vimos que faltaba la mitad y en el satay de pollo había un pelo que nos disgustaba. Cuando abrimos la bola de pollo, 2 de ellos faltaban la mitad, como si se hubieran mordido. El conductor también acababa de tirar la comida al suelo, que derramó la mitad de las patatas fritas.¡NO VAYAS AQUÍ!

Food was beautiful. However I was instantly put off when I discovered plastic in my food! And pieces off duck/chicken in my mini vegetable spring rolls (suitable for vegetarians) I'm wanting a refund and some kind of compensation as this is not acceptable. I have tried ringing but no answer yet honestly so disappointed.

Great food always ! - fast delivery and always receive hot food. Vast menu, very tasty. Recommend highly.

Really good take away. Always have the duck as it's great. I like a quarter as it's less than a half and more than a fifth, so it's just right. Also the soup is good although it is vegetarian but contains prawns. Are prawns a vegetable? Maybe they are. I'll have to look into that and get more info. I hope that I find out the answer soon as my soup is getting cold.

Nice meal but for the first time they gave us the wrong dish but still go there again .

After having Chinese all week I would say this place came out top for me across the west side of Reading good portions, with good sauce to meat consistency
