The best restaurants in Paulsgrove Portsmouth South East

Very disappointed with food here, the nachos were clearly not fresh, even though the menu states freshly prepared, the salsa was from a jar and rubbery cheese , chicken was rubbery and the paella had no taste at all , seemed to have been microwaved. When I voiced that the meal was not satisfactory absolutely nothing was said or done. Will not return here !

Thanks to all staff for a great night from the quick drinks as we arrived right through to the deserts very helpful staff and always happy special thanks to Carmo give them a try !!

I travel 15 miles to buy my Fish and Chips from Mother Kelly’s avoiding several other shops that are nearer and cheaper purely because it used to be really good. However, no one minds prices going up, it’s the economy we’re all in now, but the bag you see is Mother Kelly’s new large chips ( it used to be a box now it’s 3/4 of a scoop. Barely enough to feed my cat! ), the 2 large cod were jammed in one box so when I got them back they’re all broken, no offer of salt and vinegar and all served by a New member of staff who didn’t have a clue what he was doing. Surely there are better ways of making Cut Backs! I won’t be buying from Mother Kelly’s again, but thank you for the service I’ve had over the last 15 years

Ok. So I came here about 3 weeks ago. The service was fantastic. The table we had was next to the fire on a cold day. The food was very good although the choice was limited. Tonight we came back in a group of 6. This time the service was a little disjointed, they had run out of some food and the chairs were so uncomfortable. This time the meal was served on plates that were too small, and I noticed stains on the sofa near us and another broken. It just felt cheap tonight and a little disappointing. I wouldn't choose to come back to be honest. Edit... Having just read other reviews, I noticed that people complained that deposits were not taken off the bill. My wife was sorting the bill so I mentioned it. She said that they had not but she noticed it. Since it had been raised several times before I can only conclude this is done on purpose hoping people don't notice. Not good! I'm not very happy and won't be back.

We visited this morning for breakfast. We ordered 1 egg & bacon sandwich, 3 croissants, a tea, hot chocolate and an orange juice. It cost £17.40. The drinks came out quite quickly which was fine. We then waited nearly 30 mins for the sandwich and 3 croissants! The sandwich came out toasted for some reason. I said I would eat it so don’t worry after she blankly at me. It took another 16 mins for the croissants to arrive. Now fair enough we did ask for 2 of them to be warmed up, but when 2 came out warmed up and no sign of the other one for yet another 10 mins. My husband politely asked her why it was taking so long for the last croissant to come out. Her answer was I wanted all the food to come out at once (failed at that one)!! She then said with a total attitude “ I’ve only got one pair of hands you know”. She then came back and chucked the plate on the table and walked off!!! If they don’t want to be a cafe then don’t be. Save your attitude and comments to yourselves! The customer isn’t always right. But when you get attitude and a stupid waiting time and then the order is wrong. Politeness never hurts from the staff! When the locals tell you to avoid the place your best off listening to them! Oh well lesson learned!!!

Unfortunately has closed down permanently..real shame as was a brilliant resturant..probably the best in port solent

It would be a much better service if you stayed open to the time specified! But closing at 9.45 and having a time to say you close at 11 at night is not acceptable do needs to be reviewed!!!

Great location but it's very small inside and is often overwhelmed by strong cooking smells. For some reason they don't have adequate ventilation!!

We ordered carbonara which sadly had no flavour, a portion of fries which didn’t come and a burger and chips meal deal which was cold.

Beautiful setting. Sat upstairs with views over the marina and had a nice lunch

Food always excellent, I particularly love the crab & lobster ravioli, a little different from many other Italian restaurants. Staff in Port Solent were friendly & efficient.

Always busy, great location, good atmosphere with a nice outside terrace area.

El gran DJ tenía tanta variedad de música tan buena para que todos se levantaran y bailaran toda la noche. La comida fue un poco decepcionante, ya que no había mucha variedad, sin embargo, lo que pedimos era muy sabroso. El personal realmente encantador, especialmente la camarera que nos sirvió.

Food is good but milkshakes bad, had twice now and tasted gone off each time, they most not change the ice cream

Great Chinese chicken curry and crab with sweetcorn soup. Ready quickly.
