Great food and service as always. Vivi always looks after us when we come and nothing is too much trouble. She is such an asset to the Harvester brand.

Visit was for an anniversary lunch. Met by Vivi and given choice of seating. Food excellent and service by Vivi was fantastic. Would recommend to everyone and will definitely be back again.

As usual we had a lovely meal, food allergies were quickly sorted before I ordered. The waitress, Vivi, was attentive, efficient and cheerful. We will definitely be returning!

We went to the Harvester for a drink. The young bar person serving ignored me not once but twice. I presume this other member of staff was a manager, knew that I had been ignored, and did apologise, but that is not the point! At no time did the young bar person acknowledge me say sorry or even give me eye contact. We had our drinks and left, there were glasses and dirty plates outside on the tables. These were there when we arrived. Poor.

Amanda served us today and she was brilliant. Really kind, attentive and a lovely energy. Would definitely recommend. Food was good too. Thank you!

Great service from Ruby Food very good. We were a bit cold but had sign at entrance that pointed out there was no heating and engineer due. Would definitely go back.

Chose here because they had indoor areas for dogs to stay by table. Coped well with soya intolerance.

Service is appalling, to large families came in 1/2 hour after us and both received their food and left before we got our mains, we constantly had to chase for everything, the salad bar was near empty, it was a nightmare evening for our anniversary dinner!

Food was great as usual. Waitress was chatty and friendly and polite. Staff member Doyle was friendly and humorous which was nice.

I went before and it was lovely but this time it wasn’t so good. We came in and got directed to our table and our server was with us within 10 minutes which is perfect timing and we got our drinks immediately but then the starter took 20 minutes to arrive when it was just chicken fries just one bowl of them which is an ok wait time but was slightly pushing it then we had to wait about an hour and 15-20 min from ordering for our main meals to come and my partner was missing the main part of his meal which was a steak and my food was actually a bit cold. It is a shame as last time we had gone it was amazing service and great food however this time it had really let us down.

I have been going to the harvester in Port Solent for years. Always clean great selection of reasonable priced food. Service is always good. We normally sit at the server Vivi's area, wonderful polite lady, giving you a smile and quick service. Vivi never rushes me.

Visited on Sunday and we found it to be quite busy, but suzie are waitress was lovely and very friendly and had no problem in helping when we had a few questions about the menu. Thank you

Excellent Breakfast to start another day of exploring. We always get a wonderful friendly welcome from Vivi. This Harvester overlooks port Solent and is ideal for looking to decide which if the Boats you can't afford.

Had a wonderful meal our waitress was Vivi and she was so lovely. Food was delicious

Had a couple of drinks with speedy service. Ordered food = two balance bowls one steak one chicken. Both bowls absolutely awful, mainly consisted of little gem lettuce and red peppers! no rice at all as stated on the menu. Ruby came to collect the dishes and after asking if all was ok I stated no they weren't nice at all. Ruby took the dishes and never said a word just walked away, no apology nothing. Rude! Will not return will stick to Weatherspoons!

Haven't been in absolutely ages but definitely wasn't disappointed. Pleased to see fresh decor, food was delicious and service was good just a bit slow but was to be expected since it was quite busy. Portions were generous so we took some left overs home. We got a cardboard box with no wax paper or foil or anything inside which was disappointing. The sauce etc absorbed into the box and the leftovers tasted like cardboard .....Other than that a perfect meal and great atmosphere

Visit was a little disappointing for my husband he was so looking forward to to having chips but they cook onions rings in it why don’t they keep a fryer for the gluten free things if it was for a vegetarian try would be accomadated he has coeliac and he meal was so much smaller than mine

Prices are not too bad but slightly more expensive than the Wetherspoons nearby. Nice big restaurant with great views of the harbour, especially from upstairs. The free salad bar is excellent and usually the main reason my kids like to visit.

Food is basic but okay, service was very Friendly and helpful, it's a pub with an eating area, typical Harvester corporate atmosphere

Had a lovely meal on a Monday evening with my daughter. Service from Vivi was fabulous. Very attentive and served us with a smile. Halloumi skewers will definitely have me returning for more

From the moment we walked in, she greeted us with a warm smile and an upbeat attitude that immediately set the tone for a great evening. Kay was incredibly attentive throughout our visit, striking the perfect balance between being helpful and giving us space to enjoy our meal. She took the time to ensure our drinks and food arrived promptly, and even when the restaurant got busier, her energy and focus never wavered. What really impressed us was her attention to detail. She noticed we were celebrating a special occasion and made the effort to make it feel even more memorable. She also gave thoughtful recommendations when we were undecided on what to order, and everything she suggested was spot on. Kay’s cheerful demeanor and genuine interest in making sure we had a great time set her apart. She was proactive in checking on us without us having to ask, and she made us feel like valued customers rather than just another table. Overall, the food was fantastic, but it was Kay’s exceptional service that truly stood out and made our visit so enjoyable. We recieved a warm welcome and quickly seated. The food was hot and delicious and the restaurant was clean and tidy throughout. A young lady named Vivi(I think that's right) gave us friendly,helpful and efficient. She was a credit to your company. Thank you.

we have been to this harvester several times before and not had a bad experience, however this time it was dreadful. when the food came out 3 meals were wrong 3 classic beefburgers were ordered, instead they sent chicken burgers out the waitress said we had ordered chicken but reluctantly said they would change it. 15 minutes later out came the correct food in the meantime the rest of our party ate theirs to stop it going cold, so we couldn't eat together. those that wanted desert ordered any my wife ordea green tea which never appeared. when we paid there was a opinion to pay a service charge which we declined, the waitress turned her back on us and completely blanked us just plain rude. needless to say we will not be going there again.

Family friendly. Good food and amazing service. I love going here for a meal out. Also wheelchair accessible so the whole family is comfortable.

Went for breakfast, quite chilly inside when first arrived. Food very good and great value. Server Vivi was excellent

Due to lack of kitchen staff the food was average. Waited an hour for main meals to arrive. It’s a shame because Harvester Whitley and Fareham are excellent.

The only issue I had was the food I ordered tacos expecting hard shell crunch but got soft wraps instead. Service was bloody great though got met a reception by them they were lovely and lovely through the whole meal the only downfall was no taco shell !!! Would go back for sure!

The food was not great on this visit. Had to send one meal back and one meal was poor quality

We visited on a whim in the lead up to Christmas, and while we didn't have a booking, we were accommodated. Food was good, only what you would expect from a chain pub, we had Chicken burger and their 'famous ribs' and both were really enjoyable. The 2 seater booths are in dire need of replacement, fabric on the seats are all torn and the seat feels like it's tilting so not the most comfortable to sit at to eat.

We went for Christmas Day lunch and the food was great. Roast turkey dinner was huge and lots of meat. All the staff were friendly and our waitress Vivi was amazing, couldn’t do enough for us.

Food was awful, veg/salad dry and not fresh, stale chips, seemed as though the food had been reheated or sat there for a long time before being served.

Came here for a family meal and the service and food was excellent! Perfect place to Dine With the family! Will definitely be coming back very soon!

We had a roast Christmas dinner , the potatoes and Yorkshire puddings were cremated , the interior was filthy , the service was none existent, the toilets were disgusting and the salad bar was missing items , and nobody asked or was interested in our experience

We had breakfast this morning 2 classic breakfasts and it was lovely. Location is stunning by the marina and the atmosphere was great in the restaurant. The service with a smile from Vivi was wonderful and we will definitely be back.

Food main was unremarkable: somewhat tough burger and a high sugar but low flavour dessert. Buffet salad was decent. Very long delay (~1hr) for food. Server walked off before checking we had everything. It's ok, and reasonably priced, but nothing special.

Lovely food, the karaoke was very entertaining and created a great Christmas atmosphere. Our server Mia was very friendly and made the evening even better than it already was

Had the chicken and jacket potato. The chicken was minute rock hard and dry and the potato was minute. Salad was nice though. Wouldn't go again.

We enjoyed our trip here. Harvester is always the same meal which is easy for a quick dinner. Chicken skewers seem to have gone very overpriced now. But the whole menu is pretty expensive. However, this is offset by the included salad options.

Came for lunch and we were greeted very quickly by lovely Niamh who was very polite and friendly. Food came out nice and fast

Excellent friendly customer service both by management and waiting staff. Food was good and wasn’t a long wait. Lovely atmosphere and clean and tidy.

Came for food after seeing a movie with our children. We frequent Harvesters a lot around the country and normally we receive the same quality service and food but something was lacking here. The salad was average though nothing serious to complain about but then nothing exciting either. My only suggestion would be for staff to ensure it is replenished when things run out. The mains were OK, the steaks overcooked for medium and rare, the chips were colder than expected, and items missing and had to be asked for. And, the staff did not seem happy to be there...at all. Despite our table backing onto an area where staff seemed to congregate to review things, we ended up having to go to the bar to make payment as no one came to us for 30 minutes after we'd finished. The atmosphere just wasn't there despite Christmas decorations being up and music playing. Just not the normal Harvester standards we are used to, but we left fed and watered.

Havaster used to be good for a cheap meal even if it wasn't the best food, but now it's not even cheap, so I can no longer see why I'd go to one. Food wasn't the best. Burger was missing a sauce (bit dry), chips a bit pale, and soft. The service was good.

Loved every minute of our visit here at Port solent Harvester. Staff were very friendly and helpful, couldn't do enough to make our experience as pleasant as possible. Lovely location next to the marina. Will definitely be back to visit soon.

Excellent restaurant with very nice staff. Food is really good and appears in a timely fashion. Location is great! Go fairly regularly as it’s great value for money and always a nice visit.

Mia was excellent polite friendly and so helpful .Throughly enjoyed our breakfast.

Service was good. I think I picked the worst thing on the menu though, and couldn't eat much of it 😢 everyone else was happy though - and dessert was good!

Staff were very friendly and accommodating. My food was cold when it came but the waiter took it back to the kitchen and heated it up with no fuss whatsoever. Even though this happened I’d still recommend

Lovely Festive dinner, would definitely have again.

We were four friends, out for a 'cheap and cheerful' bite and a catch-up. The food was generally good of its type, and pretty good value for money. I was very struck by how hard the waitresses work. There seemed to be just 2 on duty (downstairs at least) for quite a busy restaurant. Our waitress was lovely, but seemed tired, cold (a snowy day, and it was chilly in the area where we sat) and to be honest, run off her feet. I don't know if they were a person or two down, and appreciate that businesses can't always control absences, etc. but would say please staff-up look after your people. She looked like she need some help and a hug <3

Just back from a family dinner here to celebrate a very significant birthday. Our group of 17 were served with kindness, understanding and patience in a very professional manner by Niamh. The service we had added greatly to the overall experience, and has certainly given us good reason & confidence about revisiting again for future family celebrations. Thank you very much.

Usually love food here but unfortunately lunch yesterday was dreadful. The chicken and ribs were overcooked dry and almost inedible. Chips were not fresh and as for the rolls almost hard to cut into. Really missed the usual sweet corn. Didn't complain because the staff are all lovely. Don't want to sound a misery but it really was awful. Hope this was just a bad day as usually have a lovely meal.

We visited this restaurant early evening and was welcomed by front of house and server were both excellent. However when I went to the salad bar it wasn’t stocked so I asked the front of house man to get this remedied. A young man started to replenish the salads and I said I know he was busy but asked him if he could top up the pineapple, he ignored me. I then addressed the front of house man and said that i wasn’t happy with this to which he replied as he’s kitchen staff it’s different. A couple dining nearby commented that they had seen me being ignored. When the young returned with the pineapple and other salads I said could he top up the blue cheese dressing, he totally ignored me and carried on back to the kitchen. The front of house man commented that he had witnessed this but nothing was said. When he returned I said I don’t know if you heard me but could you top up the salad dressing and he replied I heard you and that was it. The couple dining commented that this was disgusting behaviour, as it was. I appreciate he is kitchen staff but manners and recognition that he has heard what I said is another matter. I have never experienced such appalling ignorance and rudeness in a restaurant environment. I have to say the rest of the staff were lovely but I wouldn’t return due to this experience

vivi was absolutely lovely; so welcoming and accommodating.

It was Sunday so was noisy and busy. Tables were not being cleared. The price of the meals had been increased, portion size decreased. Refill pepsi --- First one brought to the table was okay, from the Refill machine was tasteless.

Extremely slow service. No one seemed to want to serve us. When we ordered, we were told a few items were not on the menu. It would have been good to know this before choosing what we wanted. Chicken and chips turned up with no veg because they had ran out. Again, if known would have not ordered this off the menu, no alternative was provided. Chicken was dry and had evidently been sat on the side waiting for someone to take it to our table. Salad cart near empty. Overpriced for the quality.

I took my wife and friend and granddaughter on Saturday we were shown to our table after waiting 15 mins, Then once we ordered we waited over an hour for our food, My food was the rack of ribs but to be honest looked like it had been cooked for 4 days it was well overcooked meat was very tough. My granddaughter who is 10 ordered fishfinger chips and beans and a brownie with chocolate sauce the main came out so hot she couldn't touch it for 15 mins and was the same with the brownies My wife had scampy that was ok and my friend had gammon that again was ok While we waited we never had anybody come over and tell us how long the waiting time was for our meal to arrive normally somebody would tell us on arrival so we could have a choice of waiting of leaving. Sorry to say we won't be going back

Group of 8. We were well fed and looked after by the waiting staff. Everybody enjoyed themselves and the food was very good. The self serve salad bar was very well stocked and very much enjoyed by everyone. I went for the Ribeye and was asked how i liked it, and it was delivered exactly as I'd asked. 100%

Decent location right on the marina. One of the best harvesters in our opinion, food was well cooked - I had the ultimate mixed grill and it was a good amount of food for not loads of money but the steak was actually cooked as I wanted which is really good as often they can be overdone in other restaurants on a mixed grill, salad station was fully stocked, and friendly staff. Parking is usually fine too

Really great relaxed place to eat with excellent inexpensive food and great service from the staff. Just watch the people smile when they see their meal which is always beautifully presented. Lovely clean toilets too! Great place to eat!

Typical harvester....friendly and helpful staff, but too busy to be that friendly. Fast service.

Went to harvester for breakfast, had to wait to be seated- that was less than a min. Sat by the window overlooking the boats. Great drinks and food. Food was cooked to order so lovely, hot and not dried up. Not felt rushed. Was a week day so nice and quiet. Will definitely go again. Don't forget it's free parking at Port Solent.

This is a great place for a family meal- have been many times with our young grandchildren. It’s always a pleasure to be served by Vivi !!
