Lovely afternoon spent in Port Solent few beers 🍻 and lovely company 😀

Had early morning breakfast. Good value, well cooked.and swift service,...not too busy!

Popped into the 'Spoons before a trip to the cinema last night, as we didn't feel inspired with any of the menus of the other pubs/restaurants in Port Solent. Really impressed at the quality of food and low prices - staff were excellent (working very hard on a busy Tuesday), food was really good quality and delicious, drinks were good. Two of us ate for about £26 with a pint each, mains and a side. How do they do it?! Surprisingly very good. Thank you and well done, the 'Spoons :)

4 real ales usually good selection apart from the Abbot and Doombar. Tonight it was VERY VERY COLD. Air conditioning on at 9pm when only 13 degrees outside!

Looking for a cheap Wethies pint and dinner but had the dog and you can't even sit outside looking at the boats. Went elsewhere.

Cheap drinks and food but not great. Staff always helpful and friendly but cheap tea bags which are weak and tasteless coffee.

On 2 occasions the eggs Benedict had hard eggs. Sent back and got hard again. Won’t order this again. Manager was apologetic, however twice on 2 different occasions is poor. It’s an egg, can’t cook one don’t serve one.

Has lovely views across the harbour.

Good place for breakfast meeting friends for a drink etc

Beautiful outdoor seating area. If you scan the code and order your food online it's more expensive than going to the bar and ordering it.

Not up to the usual Wetherspoon standard despite much higher prices. Poor range of beers, not well kept. Very noisy uncontrolled children running around unsupervised.

I have been here several times over the years and whilst the location is great it can get really busy which is when the staffing seems somewhat short!.... It's at these times when tables are left full of glasses, plates etc and dirty too. There have been several times when I have had to clear my own table which is really frustrating! Nonetheless, if you can look beyond that, the staff that are there are friendly and willing. It's a great place to sit in the warmer days and just people watch!

We have just been to the Sir Alex Rose for lunch and settled on large fish and chips. We were really hungry and looking forward to it but it was a complete disaster. The fish was so overcooked that it was like leather and it was covered in a thick dark brown batter that just shattered when you tried to cut it. We should have sent it straight back. We mentioned it to the bar staff and the manager did come over and said it would have been freshly cooked but it certainly didn't seem like it. There was no offer of a refund or a voucher.

Another great Spoons venue. Great food choices and great service. Great prices. With a very nice view of the harbour marina.

Very busy but food came quick and was ok.

No bar service downstairs. So anyone who cannot make the stairs has to order by app and is pretty much left out of company.

Visited as we were working locally for breakfast !! Best spoons breakfast I have ever had by a huge margin. I highly recommend downloading the app as it makes things so much more easier for the customer . Plus service was faultless.

The normal fare is available from this two level wetherspoons but the view over the marina with Portsdown hill in the back ground gives it that little extra.

Cheap and cheerful, exactly what you'd expect from a Wetherspoons! Sticky tables, cheap food and drink and playing the game is a must!

Great Service, lovely food & amazing views...

Lively and busy waterside bar, even on a cold winter's evening there's a buzz in here. Definitely the best and most pleasant Wetherspoon's in Portsmouth. Reasonable selection of cask ales, good selection of other drinks. They have the usual Wetherspoon's menu which has meals at a very good price. Fast service from their staff even on the busiest of days.

Menus Small breakfast….😂 seriously… absolutely comical. You can imagine the staff out back laughing at another sucker. Am almost still smiling numbly at the pic. May even keep it to make me laugh out load when feeling down 🫣😂 trust me GO for a bigger brekkie or at least take two slices of bread with you so you can put the ‘small breakfast’ in a butty 👍

Typical weatherspoons , noisy & cheap

No egg benedict which was a let down for me. Not the first time at this spoons. Otherwise everything fine.

Been here many times with family and friends. Get pub good food and very reasonable. Also seating area outside with great views over the solent marina .

Clean , tidy and light . Good quick service .can't be beaten on price.

Was the n here about a week ago. With family .I did not want to really go as was a spoons. However was suprised.bit put FF it was Friday about 3 and didn't have any fish and chips. So I went for the chicken. Was nice and tasty another plus place was clean. I've been to many spoons in the past in Glasgow area an all been rubbish food and the cleanliness. This was a great suprise

We had a breakfast on Friday and it was excellent, as was the service. The food was well presented and the staff were very friendly, helpful and efficient.

A really good Spoons, pretty location. Actually has toilets on the main floor, but the main floor is the first floor lol it's never straightforward in a Spoons. Lovely place and service.

We headed to port solent with hunger in our tummys, we were not disappointed when choosing to dine here the breakfasts were yummy in our tummy haha. Lovely staff, speedy service and good atmosphere. We will be sure to return when we visit again.

family group all ordering different meals. I ordered sirloin and chips. I expected a little garnish but was so disappointed when only a bunch of tepid chips and steak arrived .they looked so sorry for themselves on the plate. I'm not one for smothering my food in sauces, but it was the only way of getting any flavour from the less than mediocre food served to me. the only person that thought the food was OK was the burger ordered.

Great food and beer. Fairly busy tonight and Xmas decorations are lovely.

It's a wetherspoons! I think that says it all, but.... Broad array of standard menu items - as you get at any 'spoons, and their app allows you to see what you can order now if you're not sure. Food is good without being haute cuisine, served rapidly as not a lot of it is cooked to order, and the place fills a need at great value. The upper deck looks over the marina and Port Solent, which is pretty and different. If it were a tin, this pub would do exactly what it said on the tin...food and drink served rapidly at a good price

Food ok, quite a wait to be served, didn't seem to have enough staff and quite a lot of tables not cleared. But ok as we weren't in a hurry.

Best Wetherspoons by far...nice clientele,nice surroundings,good staff...and typical good prices. Actually travel 12 miles to get there,worth it just for the relaxing marina vibes.

It's a Wetherspoon so you get what you pay for but the location is what makes it.

Excellent place for English breakfast.

The cook(hardly a chef) needs to get a grip. The standard of meals is awful. 4 covers. Fish and chips Greasy fish cooked in old oil ( it tasted like) Undercooked chips Panini Should have been toasted cheese not melted Cardboard taste effect I know it's on the cheap side for eats but this is the WORST Weatherspoons Come to my home town,they know how to serve and feed their customers with a sense of well-being.

Food was quick and tasty. Chips were a little inconsistent in terms of temperature across the 3 meals.

We went there as a family, sat outside, no one else around us, it was very quiet there. Then the security man came over and asked for I'd and because our 17year old didn't have his I'd on him (even though he was drinking coke) we were told to leave. He was a real jobs worth. I can understand if we were sat in the bar area, but my wife, my two sons and myself were outside. You hear about the hardships that the pubs are going through, so can they really afford to turn customers, who are just having a drink and a chat away? They not only lost our custom that evening but I will not be using any wetherspoon ever again.

Typical Wetherspoons but does have a lovely view over Port Solent so worth a visit if in the area.

Katsu grilled chicken, low calories, and lovely curry. Diner and a pint of Stella under a tener. You simply can not go wrong. It's one of my favourites.

The bar lady was uncompromising about having a table number whilst ordering. My 'medium' steak came out charred and had an unpleasant bitter taste. Table service was better and the Guinness nice.

Typical 'spoons' fare. We occasionally go for breakfast and sit downstairs as it's calmer. On this occasion we sat upstairs which is a bit noisy/chaotic but only because it's a popular location. The weather was so nice we regretted not sitting outside with a choice of up or downstairs. Service, despite the business is always super quick and didn't disappoint this time either. The traditional breakfast could have been warmer but the bacon sarnie was great and I opted for the breakfast muffin which was delicious. My wife loves the fresh OJ, which along with the excellent value for money is the main reason for going........... okay, okay ( we were hungover) 🙄 Kids love having a look at the fish afterwards just outside and there are always plenty of parking spaces.

It was as expected from Wetherspoons

The value for money here is fantastic. The food is good, there's a good choice and I personally love the hot drink refills. It's clean, the staff are always nice and it's popular. The view over marina is very lovely. Perfect on the way to or from the nearby cinema too.
