Recent visit back after a few years still very good and will return

I popped in here for a small pizza. It took quite some time to be done and i had to be asked twice to confirm what my order was, to be honest, I think they sent my food out for delivery so someone potentially got what they did not order. There was too much going on for them to seem to be coping. When pizza did arrive it was very very salty.

We ordered a kids meal, a burger and I had fish and chips. Burger was missing stuff. My fish was just a load of burnt batter with a bit of inedible mush inside. I was at home so had to take it back to shop, showed them and they said its because it comes in frozen. I refused it even though we'd already paid. I said I'll have a chicken burger instead, he wasn't happy giving me something else even though it cost less than my fish and chips. Will not be back.

Food is good but milkshakes bad, had twice now and tasted gone off each time, they most not change the ice cream

Ordered a delivery after waiting an hour I called and asked where it was, I was told it had just left and would be with me shortly and they apologised. I then called again another 30 minutes later to say I still haven't received my order and asked for a refund to which they hung up on me. When my order finally arrived. It was stone cold, burnt and quite frankly shocking as really small considering I ordered an XL chicken kebab and lamb done. I ended up driving back to the shop and having an argument with the manager. Who said I accepted the delivery, to which I replied I did not know what it was like until I opened. He finally gave me a refund and said what did I expect for £11.40. When I replied if this was an XL what do you get for a small his reply was 1 cube of chicken and a few strips of doner. I said they should learn not to lie about delivery and sort food. Totally avoid!!!

Waited an hour and half for what was supposed to be an XL kebab. When it finally arrived it was absolutely shocking! Cold, burnt and small. I called for a refund and the manager was rude and abusive. I ended driving back to the shop to return it and get a refund. Totally avoid this rip off place

Don't live nearby but stop here whenever we pass. There homemade chilli sauce is the nuts 😋 portion sizes are great can never finish my large mixed let alone the fact they do an xl 🤌 and the price is very reasonable

Everytime we order from here it's always hot, fresh and delicious. The staff are very friendly too

It is nice kebab but customer service is terrible plus end up with half of your order missing and they don’t do nothing about it now my little girls got no dinner

Always come here for burger and chips can't fault them at all kebabs are also always on point and very fairly priced as well

Sent me the wrong kebab and when I phoned up to complain they said they couldn’t swap it as they were too busy.. disgraceful

Inexpensive but - for fish'n'chips - I cannot recommend. Undercooked/raw chips & 'frozen food' level fish. Sorry. But not good

2nd night we had a kebab from here, not had one from here and now 2 on the trot. Chicken is delicious, staff are lovely and shelly who delivers them is a great and lovely woman. Thank u from solent Road.

Update on my review. Ok fish n chips not great, but awesome kebabs, awsome pizza, and superb milkshakes. Also the owner is a really nice bloke always gives regulars freebies and always very polite

Placed an order last night, waited a lot longer than we were told, when it turned up my wife's wrap was missing, phoned up and another one was sent out, opened my kebab, it was wrong as well, couldn't be bothered to wait any longer, started eating what had been sent, it was disgusting and most of it ended up in the bin.

This is the best Kebab shop north of the city but that's only because it's affiliated with Efe's in Fratton, which is the best kebab shop south of the city.

We are regular customers the food is always satisfactory but always take a lot longer than specified to deliver

I would put 0 stars but didnt have a choice! Missing large chips once again. No answer whatsoever from allaway grill. Food this time round has gone downhill big time large mixed definitely dont order. Pitta dry as hell and wasnt worth eating unless you wanna loose a few teeth! Very disappointed wont be ordering again! Will be ordering from Kemals and picking it as it's well worth the drive! Sort it out allayway grill. You could go far! 🙌

food is 2 hours late still hasn’t arrived disgusting . You have now lost a good customer

I ordered two pizzas we ate half of them then realised it hold mold on the back of it phoned them up they were rude kept saying no no no took it down there and started shouting at us and I always order from there never had a problem but were just so rude.

Food not to bad can be a bit of a wait for food even if you phone first before you collect the delivery we had took nearly one and a half hours to turn up so we collect now. Staff seem nice.

I have been eating from here for 10years and the good is always delicious. Sometimes have a few mistakes but that has never stopped me ordering. I love thier food and they are always very polite

Was cooked well hence the 2 stars but savage attitude because the order was wrong no rhetoric in place just 100 mile an hour attitude about how I placed my order when it turned up , ordered chicken donor no onion garlic mayo and a lamb donor rolled up with onion granted on a sat night but christ 'I'm a chef I listen I ask twice nothing I can do discount next time ...... the rhetoric like most places when you order your food should be no worries I will replace your order ...... next time il just have cheese on toast ffs

I have been using Allaway Grill for a few years now, at least once a week, sometimes twice. I've ordered by various methods, their app, phone and just walking in. Their app and phone method allows collection or home delivery. The staff have always been very polite and understanding, and if you have a allergy or intolerance to a ingredient just let them know, they do know their foods and the ingredients very well. Portion sizes have always been enough that when the kids pinch some I still have plenty to fill me up. What I do like about this location is that it is an open kitchen, so you can see much of the preparation, working, cooking and packing areas which helps build customer confidence. Some of their quicker preprepare foods you can view in their fridge area that today (on quite a hot day) displayed a temperature of 1 degC, well within the FSA temperature limit, and those foods are separated and covered. They use the recyclable pizza, fish and chip boxes and paper wrapping, as well as the less easy to recycle food grade polystyrene flip lids containers. They have switched to more recyclable materials recently which has been nice to see. Depending on how busy they are in the shop, delivery and collection can be straight after cooking or a little wait. What is good is because they are open nearly all day is that you can make an order and have it delivered at a later time. Eg. I order a meal for three at 3pm and ask for it to be delivered at 5pm, I'm not watching the clock waiting for them to open, and come 5pm the meal is delivered, it's brilliant! As I write this, their FSA rating is 4*, this is average for the area and I've never felt it should be lower and am happy to consume foods from here. Their prices are about right in my opinion, this is evident given they have a steady flow of customers. They have competition with nearby takeaways, but I feel they can survive this as they will have a loyal customer base and specialise in foods they know very well. A word about the phone app, it is very concise, pizzas can be ordered with menus for different bases and extra toppings. You get a confirmation email/text, and often the 'time till completed' countdown is fairly accurate, but don't rely on it, it's just a guide. But menu wise the app is very well laid out and hasn't crashed once yet. I tend to use it quite a lot. Apart from preparing the chilled foods mentioned, I've never had, nor even seen foods cooked and left on a hot plate for hours untill a customer wants them (pizza, fish, chips, burger, scampi, sausage etc) such as you would find in a fish and chip shop. Everything I've seen cooked has been freshly cooked to order. For delivery, once your order reaches a minimum price, delivery is free, you pay the same as you would if you collect it or walked in of the street and ordered it. If you own this business and as of this date you feel my review is inaccurate, please contact me, but I hope you will feel my review is fair and accurate.

Estuvo bien en general, pero la segunda vez pedimos que nos faltara una porción de papas. El servidor no quiso escuchar lo que dijimos o simplemente se equivocó, aunque se volvió a leer el pedido. Incluso conseguimos salchicha extra en la masa cuando pedimos salchicha Jumbo

Good kebabs good service very friendly

Ordered a takeaway for 5 people and every order was wrong. When other half went to complain they were very rude been getting food from there since they opened and there predecessor the ones before that. Was not happy at all.

Just had one of the worst kebabs for a long while there normally pretty good chips were over cooked salad was shocking just not that good at all disappointed

I eat theirs kebab all the time. Really tasty and fair price. Yes, it happened few times that they put wrong sauce, forgot to give me jalapenos, or gave onions which I don't really want, but I don't really mind, still love it. Never ordered with delivery yet, as I live very close. I can see how busy they are sometimes with orders comimg in left right and center, no wonder they make some mistakes. 100% worth trying !!!

Much better than expected based on location and appearance. Friendly staff and quick service. We had cod+chips and a kebab and it was all very good. Nice fries, not too crispy. Great fish with good batter. Kebab was not greasy and had good seasoning and not too much sauce. Will return.

(the one star is for the receptionist) Very poor service placed a order waited a hour called to check to be told the order was on its way, then had a phone call ten minutes later from what I could make out as the owner to say u didnt place a order as he had no ticket with my address on. Informed the manager that I spoke to the receptionist (who can recall me placing a order) all he was bothered about was asking where is my ticket! He offered me a free bottle of drink and would send my order out but it could be another half hour at this point I had already waited a hour and a half, very poor service receptionist was very friendly and helpful as she could be and apologised the manager on the other hand was very unhelpful considering it was there fault! Very unhappy customer

I'm a fussy eater. But I've eaten a few times from here and always been nice. Just orderd online was easy to use and quick. Delivery man always nice so are staff at the shop. Shop is always clean...Somers always cleaning in there or Windows outside.

I asked for a kebab with garlic mayo and onions but when i opened it it was covered in a red sauce that was really sweet and not nice at all. Completely ruined it and still have no idea what it was as i never asked for it, would not go again for fear of wasting my money on something i havent asked for.
