Will never order from this place again. They take money and don't deliver food or refund you. Spent £42 on an order to feed our family and waited for an hour before trying to get in touch. After an hour of trying to get through on the phone I walked down to the shop. They had taken money from my account by this point. Arrived and was told their system was down so they would make my order. Refused to refund the money they had in their account. They told me it was not their fault and to contact head office. Head office told me to go to the store and ask for a refund. Emailed complaint with screenshots of order, waiting time, money taken from my account etc to head office but no response received 4 days later. Completely untrustworthy.

Pizza took over an hour to be delivered after placing the order. Arrived cold and order was wrong, tried calling but couldn’t get through so had to drive to the store to get the right order. Staff didn’t seem interested and noticed as I was there that the phone was turned off (probably can’t be bothered to deal with any complaints), avoid ordering from this store!

Food turned up cold and wrong 40 mins after said delivered on app so tried calling shop no answer once it finally turned up it was to cold and grease to eat.

Pizza was ok although it had a greasy sloppy base, but toppings were plentiful. Ordered 2 sides, cauliflower, and jalapeño. The cauliflower smelt SO BAD tasted terrible, suspected it was out of date and not suitable for consumption and the jalapeno side was cold. All in all sadly a very poor meal for £25. Called the store, who admitted they suspected a problem and they told us they couldn't help and to contact via email only. Requested a refund and again, told to email. Let's see how this pans out and if I get a resolve. Manager apparently on holiday.

Do not order from here, if you do make sure that you collect. Unfortunately, if your expecting delivery and it doesn't turn up. Chances are its stuck in Papa Johns and if you try and call, nobody answers. Unfortunately, we had to go and collect our food after paying for delivery and found that nobody there could talk to us about our order due to a language barrier. I have put in multiple feedback/customer service calls to try and get the money back for atleast the delivery and no response.

My partners pizza stuck to paper, gently disgusting. And my pizza was undercooked. Rude staff who don't care. Generally a horrible experience

9:42 I placed a £61.97 order ready to be delivered at 12:45 to work only for us to wait an hour and 45 mins for nothing to turn up and so I went there to find out it was closed even though online it says they were open, you were able to order online and the money was taken. When we got there an Uber eats driver had also turned up to pick someone else’s order up to find themselves in the same situation as us. Lights were on out the back so someone was either there or had been there! Absolutely appalling

My experience is very good with Papa John's. Delivery is super fast and smooth. Delivery man is very much friendly and polite. I liked the food taste also.

Papa John's now charge £2 for delivery. Papa John's no longer get orders from us. Pizzas were never bad, but their prices aren't cheap so to charge for delivery on top is poor.

Order online for collection is so quick, and the staff are really friendly, always opens the door me.

Tried to order from here and they used the excuse I live to far away and having checking Google maps they are 1.6 miles from me and the person I spoke to on the phone was extremely rude and arrogant. AVOID this place at all costs

The worst pizza I have ever had, It wasn't cooked properly and was very doughy. I called the shop to complain and the guy who answered the phone was very difficult and rude! I had to repeat myself many times saying I did not want another pizza just a refund, I'm not very confident I will receive my refund. Very poor service and food, I will never order from there again! UPDATE - Its been almost 1 month and still no refund! I'm getting no replies after contacting head office and the staff members in the shop are hopeless! Extremely angry I have paid £18 for something I never had!

Night in on my own so I thought I would treat myself to a pizza and some garlic bread. All ordered and paid and then watch the progress on the tracker. The food came out of the oven and took over 30 minutes to arrive, by which time it was just warm and quite rubbery. I got an email apology and the of £5 off my next order. No good to me as there will not be another order.

Took nearly 3 hours to get my delivery after having to go in store and ask for it to be cooked fresh. Also the shift manager can't give refunds so am having to email someone to deal with this issue. Never using them again.

On the 12th June I ordered 2 large pizzas, 2 sides and a drink. Unfortunately my partner and I was sick with food poisoning after eating this meal. I immediately called up the branch and spoke with the staff and manager “Adam” who assured me it wouldn’t happen again and that I have a complimentary repeat order. I would have preferred a refund but I was told this was not an option. Today at 17:37 I called the branch and RE-EXPLAINED my situation as the staff had NOT written a note on my account for a free meal. I was told that despite me wanting to order different toppings the only order they could process for free was a REPEAT order (the same food that made my partner and myself sick in the first place). The member of staff I spoke with told me they would put my order through and had all my details from my previous order including number and address. I called at 18:37 exactly 1 hour later to ask about the status and eta of my food which they told me that they had to cancel all current orders due to technical issues yet when asked about my specific case and order they were able to see my details and read my address to me. A member of staff assured me that they would put the order through and REFUSED/ COULD NOT GIVE ME AN ETA because “they were busy”. An hour later at 19:41 I called the store again to which I was met with rude employees and manager. I explained the situation again and the manager who shouted at me over the phone told me that the order was never put through and even though I had a valid voucher on my account they COULD NOT MAKE or DELIVER my food today. Not only did this mean that they could view my account but also I had been waiting 2 hours for no food and were told we would not be getting food. I was hung up on 2/3 times during this process and the manager told me that “I was insulting him”. I asked “Adam” for the number / email of his area manager but again I was hung up on.

Been waiting over an hour for our pizza - pizza days delivered... not to Our house though because we’re still waiting!! Been trying to call the shop for over 45 mins and no one picking up.

Disgraceful. Couldn’t find my address even though it’s been here for 25 years and is easy to find using any GPS. The app said the food was delivered when it wasn’t! Then the shop lied to me on the phone to say the order had just left ... when the driver had phone me 25 minutes previously. Then they argued with me that it was all my fault because I hadn’t explained where I live clearly enough to the driver ... nobody else has any trouble finding my house! They refused to cancel my order, lied some more ... food turned up cold after 70 minutes and the driver lied again about only just picking it up from the shop. Horrible experience, cold food and horrible people. Will never use them again.

Took an hour to arrive, was barely warm. Left poor review on feedback survey & requested to be contacted about it - no one from the store bothered to do so. On resolution experience survey I selected that no one had contacted me, Papa Johns GB customer services then got back to me next day with an apology and free large pizza.

I've ordered from here well over 20 times over a year or 2, never had an issue. Friendly delivery drivers, order is always correct, best vegan pizza around, always have good deals on. Definitely my favourite pizza place.

Will not use again. Pizza arrived soggy and uncooked - an in house issue . Phoned 13 times no answer to resolve issue . Had to call the next day , promised a call back from manager by a team member . Never happened . I had to call him , he collected the whole order ( which was uneaten) and tried to blame the delivery driver saying he would dock his wages. Spoke to customer services and head office , no ownership, still awaiting a refund !!! Poor customer service skills on behalf of Portsmouth store manager !

Phoned the next day , spoke to a team member , no call back from manager as was promised ! I called them YET AGAIN! . They picked up the pizza - didn’t eat any of it. Contacted head office , customer services , still waiting on a refund ! Poor service - manager wanting to take it out of the drivers wages when clearly wasn’t his fault . Won’t use again . Poor service , no customer service skills shown by manager .

Don't understand what all the fuss over these pizzas is to be honest. First time we've had them and will definitely be the last too. Arrived promptly and still hot but they were pretty much tasteless apart from a very salty sauce. Hardly any actual toppings. Overpriced,overhyped rubbish

They don't answer the phone, EVER and if your food is cold don't expect them to answer the phone then to have it replaced, or the next day, or the next day, or the day after that.

Ordered my food and paid was asked to come back in 10 mins, only to be told that they didn’t have an item I ordered and forced me to order something else and wait for that to be cooked. They wouldn’t refund me as the payment had already gone through! Awful customer service.

10+ phone calls, 1+ hour wait, still no idea if what we've paid for is actually going to be delivered. "Online tracking" doesn't work either. I mean, if you're too thick to run a pizza shop... 🤷🏽‍♂️

Theres a reason they're doing a free student deal. They know that dominos are far superior and they must entice customers despite their inferiority. However, their free pizzas ironically come at a cost, you may only order for delivery hence you have to order either another pizza or sides to make up the difference. The only saving grace here is that the food is acceptable and good value for money. However the service is not when the food took 2 hours to get to our door

Almost always takes over an hour and the tracker usually says its arrived half an hour before it actually turns up. The pizzas are nice though.

Despite the website saying the order had arrived, it took almost 2 hours to actually get there. Llamé por teléfono con respecto a un artículo que faltaba en mi pedido, me tomó 10 veces antes de comunicarme con alguien, y cuando lo hice pregunté por el gerente y me dijeron que el gerente había dejado la tienda y nadie sabía dónde estaba, ellos clasifiqué mi artículo faltante que estaba bien para mí, luego hice un pedido para mi madre al día siguiente, nuevamente, el servicio terrible, la comida fría y la pizza se deslizaron hacia un lado de la caja, llamé y exigí que el gerente realmente hablara para mí esta vez a la que escuché risas de fondo y hombres hablando en otro idioma y riendo y maldiciendo sobre mí por teléfono mientras yo todavía estaba en la línea así que al final les dije que no se molestaran, no tuve cualquier problema con esta tienda hace unas semanas yo era un cliente habitual y una señora llamada Sarah siempre me ayudaba cuando llamaba por un problema, o con respecto a problemas con los pedidos, sin embargo, parece que tienen una nueva administración.TERRIBLE administración podría agregar, y que me digan su ¡El gerente había desaparecido es impactante para mí!

I called up to Speke to the manager who was very rude and very disrespectful he told me to F off as I told him I wanted a refund and hung the phone up on me I called back and asked to speak to him again and they told me he had left the building I have to say I don’t understand how this man runs a store the pizza was cold my order was wrong and he is nothing but a nasty man who has the attitude of a teenager I have ordered with them before and I spoke to a lady called Sarah who was lovely we’re has she gone

Terrible service. Ordered vegan cheese pizza (the only reason we go to papa johns over dominoes) and got regular cheese and they forgot 2 out of 3 of our dips. Wouldn't usually write a bad review as this can be easily corrected but we have been trying to call for over half an hour to get the order fixed and the line has been busy at 6pm on a Wednesday. I'm assuming they have hung up the phones. Last time we ordered we got meat on a vegan pizza. Very disappointing.

Awful experience !!! Started by saying that the food had arrived when it didn’t !!! I have ordered 2 pizzas, 3 sides and a big bottle of Pepsi, the delivery man delivered everything apart from the bottle of Pepsi because he said he forgot, but still said he would come back and deliver the drink which was ok.. I waited for the rest of the day, Pepsi never arrived and their store number kept saying busy the whole time ! I believe they did that on purpose just so they wouldn’t deal with customers .... my food got cold YES because I can’t eat without a drink that I paid for ! How are you suppose to pay for a delivery hat never arrives ???? Horrible store !!!!

I ordered from Papa John's via Uber Eats, my first time using either business. Details: The Mexican (medium) £19.99 which I would have found expensive in a physical restaurant | Service fee £2 - what service? | and £2.49 delivery fee - despite this you ask for a tip for the courier. Clicked on the "authentic thin crust" but got a pizza crust the size of a doorstep which I couldn't cut through because the dough was so touch. The overall taste was sweet and sickly, nothing 'authentic' about this pizza. My treat at the end of a busy working week has been a huge, and expensive, disappointment. Dreadul.

Pizza took an hour and 15 mins to arriv . When it did it was luke warm at best. No hot stretchy cheese. Website says they will replace a bad order, phoned shop and they offered me 50% off next order... But won't be ordering again so pointless.

It's now 75 minutes that I have been waiting for my pizza and all I got from the manager before was bad, defensive attitude. Excuses about their pizza taking longer because 'they are not Iceland or Domino's", refusal to offer discounts, excuses about their opening times being wrong and also about having the wrong address. The wait goes on.......

This is the absolute worst service I have ever received when ordering an online meal. The website is a complete and utter mess. They've lost my order before (after receiving payment), advised me that my order has arrived when it hasn't even left the restaurant, and the confirmation e-mails are delayed or lost. I highly recommend you avoid ever ordering online from this company.

I don’t know why people being writing this review but the food was fantastic especially the The garden party and Tandoori poppers. Seems like the store is busy but they got me deliver in 27 minutes of ordering. The delivery boy was professional and got hot food.

Papa John's is BY FARRR the WORST pizza around. Took over a hour and 15 mins to arrive and the food is actually just AWFUL. never again.

We waited an hour and twenty minutes before ringing, No apology, just told it will be about another half hour. Reading the other reviews they clearly should not be in the pizza business. wish I'd looked at the reviews first but assumed a international chain might be at least competent.

Wish I could give 0 stars. Worst customer services I've ever experienced. I ordered crinkle cut wedges, they came clearly uncooked, so called to complain to be told that I'm wrong! The rude person who answered argued with me, saying that's how they should be!!! Put me on hold for 5 minutes with no reply! Shocking service.

Ordered on saturday 2nd of August food took over an hour to turn up ,once arrived it was stone cold and our drink was missing, after 7 attempts to phone the store I finally get an answer and an extremely abusive man shouting abuse down the phone at me refusing to send out our drink witch we paid for ,i have the phone call on record, also the delivery driver short changed my partner and of course once mentioned we were called liars and got hung up on several times !!!the staff are extremely rude I advise anyone do not order from here it's a nightmare. Told me they don’t answer the phone when they are too busy - they will just leave it to ring. After asking that he said they were accepting no more orders this evening - at 2130.

Twice now have waited well over an hour for delivery and they don’t answer the phone so you can’t even cancel the order. Frustrating. Won’t be ordering again. Edit: eventually arrived after nearly 2 hours! Awful.

The food is really good but the service is awful. I ordered online and the tracker said it had arrived. I followed up over the phone (had to phone twice as they didn't answer the first time) and was told that my order was ready and they were just waiting for a driver. Twenty minutes later I phoned again, still waiting for a driver - and this time I was told that my pizza had only just been put in the oven. Half an hour later my pizza finally arrived. Wouldn't recommend if you're hungry.

I ordered 2 pizza and as I bit into one there was a bone like object in my pizza ! I rang to complain but ended up being being sworn and shouted at and called a liar ! I eventually managed to make contact with their customer services who took down notes and said they would enquire what is going on ! This happened a couple of times but then I’ve heard nothing ! I never got to eat the pizza, nor got my money back or never found out what it actually was in my pizza ! Customer services passed the buck and never got back to me , the store manager was very rude and at the end of the day I lost out ! Will never use Papa johns again !

order arrived 1 hour later cold. on complaining via phone call was informed would process a refund, then was cut off by the staff member, called back and then told it was up to the manager to authorise refund and he might be in later this evening. we asked so would a refund be processed this evening, no could not say its up to the manager. the staff member offered no apology and clearly could not care less. we now await to hear from the manager assuming the staff member relayed the complaint? We had to reheat the pizaa we got or the option was wait for another one 1hour on and return the one that was cold.

Un servicio horrible, pedí una pizza vegetariana grande sin cebollas y palitos de ajo, después de esperar una hora vino con cebollas. Entiendo que la gente comete errores y, por el momento, tuve mis palitos de ajo, así que llamé a la tienda pidiéndoles que lo cambiaran y me dijeron que sería una espera de al menos una hora y media. Everytime we order from them they arrive AT LEAST 30 minutes late. Once they had no drivers and we had to cancel the order! Better go Dominos or Pizza Hut!

Asqueado ! ! Pedí 2 pizzas y cuando comencé a comer una había un hueso o algo que parecía un hueso en la pizza. Me puse en contacto con el gerente de la tienda, Ahmed, pero no entendí nada más que un lenguaje obsceno y me hicieron sentir mentiroso. Envió a alguien para que recogiera el hueso y la pizza y le dijeron que tendrían que investigar y se le negó un reembolso. Después de no haber escuchado nada, me comuniqué con el servicio de atención al cliente de Papa Johns y me dijeron que lo buscarían y hablarían con el dueño de la tienda, ¡y luego no escuché nada! ¡No tuve más que problemas para descubrir lo que está sucediendo y esperar un reembolso! Manera repugnante de tratar a un cliente!

Very poor. Took forever to arrive despite us phone to chase up. When it did eventually arrive the order was not complete. The drive said it deliver the rest later in the evening. Hardly helpful when you have half delivered. Will not be using them again. Be warned.

Mhmm. Pros: friendly staff on the phone. Prompt polite delivery. Cons: maybe Papa John should invest less in his plastic surgery and botox (see tv advert) and more in his pizzas because our first (and probably last) experience was awful

Decidimos tener una noche de pizza, así que tuvimos que usar papa johns ya que no hemos tenido uno en años. Buscamos en línea para ver qué ofertas había y fuimos con la oferta de The Big Game, XXL Pizza, pero lo hicimos medio y medio con corteza rellena, luego tuvimos cuñas, palitos de pan de pizza de ajo y una galleta gigante. Pedimos y llegó literalmente 20/25 minutos más tarde, lo cual fue increíble, ya que no teníamos nada listo en casa, pero tan feliz todo estaba caliente y no tuvimos problemas para encontrarnos. Ordenaré de nuevo con seguridad ya que la pizza fue épica. Gracias chicos

Asumiré que mi entrega para llevar 'solo comer' provino de esta rama de Papa John's ya que es la única que figura en mi área. Pedí dos pizzas con la aplicación. Grueso final de cuarenta quid! ! ! ! Llegó a tiempo, pero estaba frío como una piedra. Mi amigo y yo pasamos el bocadillo de cerveza después, así que lo aplasté de todos modos. Raramente me quejo con respecto a comida de lugares, solo ofrecerán lo mismo otra vez, ¿por qué castigarme? No, votaré con mis pies y simplemente nunca los volveré a usar.
