Great place very quiet for a Friday afternoon but plenty of places for large groups. Only two food places open but we were early 😔. Looking forward to bringing the family. DW

A little disappointing as a few of the kitchens were closed Plus the music was so loud that it made conversation hard. But the staff were friendly and the food kitchens that were open were good.

The Brasilian Food was terrible NOT are the proper Brasilian Food as should be them. The hole place very much rundown and very dirt .... and I would NOT go again even if pay me to have any food at Outside In Food Court (Portsmouth)

More passion needed, we arrived and it was quiet but only 1 food vendor was open (Saturday around 8ish) a place that is a food court either everyone needs to be open or no one. The DJ was good and brought a much needed atmosphere, he was the only one that asked us how our night was, where we explained about the lack of vendors open. The place also stinks of cooking fat making your clothes and hair smell when you come out. Come on guys, this place could shine with a little more thought.

Quirky unusual find with live music events and great street food pop up providers.

Really funky place. Had some delicious food from Cintia's gourmet Brazilian food. Absolutely delicious and nice to try something different.

Food was excellent and the concept is fab. Service was mixed; very slow for some of my group.

This is great food cooked right in front of you by hardworking people who are passionate about their menu. We love coming here for a quick meal, trying out new dishes and supporting small startup restaurants. The concept is that you choose a table and then order what you want from any of the individual kitchens. Sometimes we go for a few different ones to have some interesting variety. There is a separate bar. Don't expect comfort, the place is just bench seats and long tables, but that's not what you're there for. The food is always hot, fresh and served with a genuine smile.

Great food, great service and lovely atmosphere. The grilled halloumi from Gyroland was delicious! We will definitely be back.

Exactly what Portsmouth is missing. A spot with lots of different and delicious food options. Every stall is individual and bursting with flavour. Everyone was lovely and the entire vibe of the place is relaxing and fun. Excellent vegetarian options.

We were on a pilgrimage - fifty years since we met as first year students at the (then) Portsmouth Polytechnic. Outside-in sounded right up out street and it didn’t disappoint. Although only two outlets were open we ate really well. We chose chicken souvlaki boxes which were delicious. However, because we explained our reason for being in Portsmouth we were gifted other Greek treats! We had asked for advice regarding a bottle of wine and took the recommendation for a bottle of Greek wine, which was excellent and matched the food perfectly. It was a quiet night - but we understood that next week, when all the students are in town, it will be buzzing!

Food is amazing but I would recommend ordering at the bar, paying via the app is harder than breaking into Fort knox

Post Greece gyros craving, wow what an amazing independent setup, food was of the highest quality, everybody was so so relaxed and friendly, and has a great atmosphere will definitely be back to try the other food stalls!

Went on a Saturday for lunch with friends. Was disappointed that only two of the 6 or 7 stalls were open. Limiting our choice of menu's. Food was however good and prices were a little higher than expected but not astronomical.

Eat here a few time, very hit and miss. This time had big bite, and food was terrible half of my order came out 15 after the other half. And serve is very average

Haven't been in a while. No longer doing the tea pot cocktails. Staff untrained and unenthusiastic. Only 2 food vendors open which did not look hygenic. Honestly don't bother. Used to be unique and fun and now uncared for and boring. Disappointed.

Food was so nice and tasty will use again

Have been several times but after yesterday’s visit I felt compelled to review as its happened far too often. The venue puts so much emphasis on its food offerings (which are great) but they severely neglect the bar. Only 1 draught beer in Corona which they ran out of. The alternatives are bottles & cans from the ‘fridge’ that DOES NOT WORK !!! Warm beer on a warm day ? No thanks ! What’s the most frustrating aspect is that this has been a problem for years which they don’t seem bothered about fixing. Buy a new fridge guys or put more draught options in. Cut our trip short because of this and we weren’t alone.

Pretty good food, not a massive selection but a decent amount and was quite varied. The chicken kebab was OK, the beef dirty fries were pretty good. Not a big fan of ordering food through an app, kinda messes up the timing because out of a party of 8 people, 6 orders were placed and some people had completely finished there food while others hadn't even come out yet. Would be much easier to just order at the counter but at least drinks could be ordered from the counter so that helps.

It's great ! Food is delicious but slightly over priced for what you get except for the pizza 🍕 can't use cash a bit annoying but not really a problem. Starting to get busier with alldayer music events , Hipshaker, Pork Soda & Underground Soiree to name a few. Need more people in there to eat or not to eat , just drink and dance when these events are on ! Lovely little space

Attended Paint and Chill which was hosted by the court of which has an excellent variety of foods from some wonderful countries as well as some classic British meals, well worthwhile going to for a nice evening!

Great concept, love street food! I have bao buns, which were fantastic. A friend enjoyed her burger too. The vendors were chatty and helpful. The drinks pricing is fair, although the bar staff are not overly friendly. Toilets could do with an update, otherwise the seating areas are nice. Will be back to try the pizzas.

I visited Gyroland. Very good food. The baklava in particular. It is crunchy and moist at the same time. Delicious

First visit for a couple of years and took some friends who are new to the area, and was really disappointed. Food selection is average, the place was cold and uninviting, no menus displayed at the food kitchens and the QR menu thing is a Covid hangover we don't need. All the chefs in the kitchens looked bored and as there are no menus there is no engagement with the food stalls. Most importantly the extraction doesn't work and the whole place smells of cooking so everyone clothes and hair stank, not great for the start of a night out. What was a cool and fun place has lost it's mojo so wont be returning anytime soon...a real shame.

Went just before a night out. Brung a couple mates. The food was great. Drinks were awesome. Also came on a day where there were DJs performing and it really lighted the mood. Definitely coming back

Limited food menu and the place was freezing cold

Great concept of having the choice of the food types in one location. Always something new to try and they have good beer on tap. They use an app for ordering which can be a bit troublesome but the staff are great and sort issues out quickly.

Our first visit here. Really friendly and welcoming. Great atmosphere. Really enjoyed music, food and meeting new people.

We booked to go new years eve, when we got there, the only thing open was Greek & we were the only ones there & apologies were sort of said but was a big disappointment that they didn't ring & let us know, I we go again & it's decent, will add a more favourable review if it merits

Food was nice but unfortunately not all places were open so choice was limited. Did get cold as the back door was open and it became very drafty! Overall really nice though

The food was OK if a little pricy. The decor, atmosphere and service was so poor even with OK food it made for a rubbish evening. From having to ask for knives / forks, being offered beakers for wine glasses because they had run out and when they did arrive they were so dirty you couldn't see through them. At the second time of asking they looked clean until the wine went in when they foamed up because they hadn't rinsed them to remove the soap. Very disappointing.

Beautiful atmosphere, great setting, all the food is so tasty, you can tell the vendors love what they do. The staff are so friendly and helpful, couldn’t recommend this place more!

We came along tonight after finding this on the internet, seven of us for a birthday night, not sure what to expect. The front of house guy, Paul was friendly and explained everything well. The bao buns were really tasty, bursting with flavour. Korean chicken, pizza and calamari flavoursome and well cooked. Large mixed gyros excellent. The singer was good but not over the top, atmosphere relaxed. Really enjoyed it, will come again.

Absolutely love this place. So many delicious options. It's great as the venue offers lots of different cuisines meaning there is something for everyone. The arepas are my personal favourite!

Went here with the family and grandchildren to celebrate a birthday, and what a lovely pair of hours it was. The staff were friendly and very welcoming, and the food very nice, although a bit pricey. The buffalo chicken is not for the faint hearted. Very hot, but very nice. Nice live music playing while you were eating was a nice touch. We will definitely be back.

Went here for my sons birthday on a Sunday lunchtime. Really nice to go somewhere different with a good choice of different foods. The app didn’t work as planned but we just paid at the bar which was not an issue. All the staff were friendly and food was delicious. Musicians playing created a great atmosphere. We will definitely come back.

Private function attended fabulous venue

Today was my first time visiting Outside-In and I enjoyed my time here. I ate at Arepa and the food was really nice! I will definitely be visiting again. Excuse the picture, I had already taken a bite.

A nightmare. Went there with a few friends Wednesday night as my friend said it would be nice to go for a 'quiz night'. Ended up a real nightmare. To start with, although it was advertised to have 6 or 7 vendors serving different food, it ended up with having only 4 options, all selling unhealthy, junk food. I, at first, thought there might be some healthier Asian options like Thai, Korean, Chinese or Japanese, for a change. I have learnt from other vendors that they have moved out of the place as the management there was really bad. The quiz night itself wasn't any better. A lady kept shouting on the speaker with her microphone in a loud, high pitch voice, which makes it really uncomfortable to be in. I almost had to have my earpiece on. We even saw a mouse running in the men's room towards the bar but none of the staff did anything to it (probably they didn't see it as it was really too noisy there). I checked their food hygiene this morning just to learnt they got 0 stars from their recent visit. The pizza I finally ordered was good though. Won't be returning to this place again and don't recommend unless someone really loves junk food.

A real fun place to eat. Very friendly folks inside who served our. Meals and drinks as quickly as they could. The hardest thing to do here is actually select your cuisine and then wait for it to be served. Wonderful concept of street food on demand and the knowledge that you are not only having a decent meal, but you are also helping the young entrepreneurs and cooks all waiting for you to make your choice. Well done to all concerned . Try it out if you are in the area! Highly recommended. 👌🏻👍🏻👏🏻

We went on a recommendation and it didn't fall short, the atmosphere is lovely, really chilled. so 2 adults and an 11yr old what do we order?? 1 thing from every vendor was the easiest way, so drinks from the bar, gyros, dirty fries, a pizza and churros to finish off, and a cocktail from a teapot........BRILLIANT is the best way to describe it. Food was gorgeous place was cool really trendy, just a shame is wasn't busier, the owners have a brilliant place just needs to fill it before we loose it. defo 100% worth a visit if you wana try something different it will not disappoint 5*****

Was very disappointed with the choices only two out of 6 places open. Didn't feel much like a "street food" place shame I had high hopes for this place. A lot of work to be done

I’ve been to the food court last Saturday but found it was closed. We met someone at the door and they said the food court was forced to close because of some issues…. He accidentally dropped a piece of paper on the floor and I could read the word “mice”…. Is that the reason why you have been closed for so long? I miss the Asian food there

Food is excellent but waiting times can be excessive (1hr plus in my experience) and bar lacking any decent beer on draught. Nice vibe though.

Absolutely love this place, the food and atmosphere is brilliant, well worth visiting more than once just to try as much as you can. Would also recommend having some desserts at the end of your meal for sure!!!

From our last, which was not such a great visit, we thought we would try it one more time, however the old app no longer worked, the new app didn't give you food descriptions, a 10% service charge added, to basically eat out of polystyrene, we wouldnt recommend coming here, its not cheap either for street food, best treat yourself to a proper restaurant where you get served and fed in style.

The atmosphere here was nice. I enjoy the moment with my friend. The Combo Asian Food is the most authentic Asian cuisine restaurant I’ve ever had in Portsmouth. I will highly recommend the Korean Fried Chicken with Honey Sauce, it makes me addicted and the sesame seeds makes the chicken more crispy. For the Black pepper beef rice bowl, it is juicy and delicious, and is exactly the taste of my home Country. Highly recommended 🫡

An all rounder experience for all ages! Staff are great and the atmosphere is brilliant. Best of all the food and cocktails are a winner! Plus they have board and card games for all ages.

Amazing atmosphere, staff specifically from casa de spice were super friendly. Food was average apart from casa de spice as they allowed me to expand my taste buds in a perfectly manner. Burrito and tortilla bowl amazed me and my family as we didn’t expect the flavoursome fillings. Overall, amazing experience outside in food court. Would definitely recommend with no hesitation.

Last week we went to food court and the service was amazing. We ordered food from casa de spice and messy chef it was 100% halal and the food was delicious. I also have ordered tacos and it was better then most restaurants.

I went last week and had an amazing time highly reccomend !! . You should really try Casa de spice, my first time trying indo mexican food and it was absolutely delightful. The tacos were amazing best in portsmouth! Also the staff were super helpful Overall its a must !

last week i visited outside-in food court, i know it's little bit late to express my feelings bcuz of my rush life.but i never want to miss this chance to share the best experience about this lovely place. especially i love maxican foods and now we portsmouth guys are blessed that we have real maxican foods are here in Casa da spice. their buritto and tacos are just awsm. and their staffs are very friendly attitude and to much kind to every. i wanna try again and must recommend our portsmouth foodies.

I was craving for something different and saw many positives review about casa de spice . Their food is about Mexican and indian food .There I tried fuchka, tacos and wings , the food was amazing. Their service was also quick and i recommend everyone to try their food .

Yesterday, I went to food court with my friends and we tried casa de spice. The food was very delicious and I really liked their burritos and the tacos. The portion was perfect one person and the price was cheap compared to other restaurants .The service was very good.

Plenty of food choice great beer!

Surprisingly, I found an Asian restaurant called Combo Asian Food there. It served plate rice from a Hong Kong tea restaurant, which tasted great. I also had grilled chicken skewers and Korean spicy chicken wings, which were delicious. The boss was very nice. They also gave us spring rolls to eat. There is also a Japanese restaurant opposite. We will definitely eat there next time we pass by.

The first time visited here, the atmosphere was very nice. The Korean fried chicken with honey sauce from the Asian store was very delicious, it is the same taste that I have in Korea. The staffs in the bar are very friendly and nice. I would come back again

Lovely place to have a delicious meal alone or with friends. Variety of cuisines and menus. Family-friendly and good place to go with kids. Huge space can be used for public events or private parties (upon request). However, even if you have a big gathering of your friends this is the place which ideally fits for spending time together, eat delicious meal and chat. Stuff is supportive and nice. Manager with ginger hair rude and app shocking, takes about 30 mins to order food through it and if asked for menus forced to use the app. Would not recommend, easier to go some place where ordering food is easy especially if you are hungry!

Would like to recommend the Memo Walls Japanese Cuisine here. This restaurant provides one of the best Japanese food in the uk with excellent service. Definitely recommend it to my friends!

Terrible data signal here and bad WiFi. Usually not a problem but when the orders and menus are through an app, it is an issue. Ordered a calzone. Dough was nice but apparently the cheese came straight from a plastic factory. Poor. Had a chocolate fudge cake for desert which was a cold, dry slab. Likely just bought from the corner shop and sold on at £4.99 a slice. Disappointed overall. My mates had stuff from the Greek stall which looked much better.

Visited for the first time today and really enjoyed the food! We had Gyros and Katsu Chicken which was really good. You order your food via an app which could be improved by having more of a description of the different foods and giving the option to leave things out if you don’t like something or you have allergies. It is a really nice relaxed place to visit though and we will definitely be back when visiting the area again.

The place is a mess! Most of the stalls are dirty and there are signs of mice activities. The glasses are dirty. The only shop I am confident to eat from is the last stall selling Sushi. They are the only one which looks clean. Without doubt, I have to say their sushi is the best we have in the country, no wonder why they got so many great reviews under their counter. It’s basically the same as what we had in Japan before the entire world goes into a lockdown! The staffs there were not so friendly and they stopped us from getting food info from the vendors and order from them. It’s a nightmare experience. I would prefer to interact with other humans instead of my phone for my food. Will definitely be back for their Japanese food but most likely be a takeaway… can’t stand the staffs there and their loud music. I’m trying to eat, not to be in a disco and ruin my ears. To the Japanese stall… great work and see you very soon.

I am there right now trying to enjoy my dinner with my friends. The Japanese food was great. However, the payment system is a nightmare, the music was too loud and NOISY! I can’t even talk to my friends. Who needs this noise when they are having dinner? I am not coming back nor my friends if it continues to be such a noisy place
