The best restaurants in Nelson Portsmouth South East

Visited here for a few drinks to end our holiday after getting off the ferry on a Sunday evening. Great no nonsense pub that was very welcoming (Unlike Sovereigns next door, shut at 10pm!) Great prices and looks like they have a good crack with lots of bands will visit again when in the area, hopefully catch a band!

Generous portions and friendly family business, good authentic hong kong dishes and drinks ordered

Food was warm and very watery. I have already complained - really not happy

I ordered two waffles but they gave me only one cup of vanilla icecream which generally comes with each set of waffle . And also i chose whipped cream for both of the waffles but they gave me only vanilla icecream that too only one . And i asked them cutlery also they didn’t gave me . That’s being irresponsible and not concerned on customer’s details . Hope u don’t repeat it next time !

By far the best grilled chicken I've ever had. I always order the half chicken meal deal which comes with their half chicken, piri seasoned fries and a drink, then I also get the rice with it too. The chicken is always so fresh, tender and flavourful and blends very well with the rice. Their piri seasoned fries are crispy on the outside and fluffy on the inside and the seasoning is just perfect. Can never go wrong with it and never bored of it either. Their deliveries are always very quick and efficient.

Good pub, currently a Hungry Horse. Has a childs play area at the back and some sweet machines. Good value for money and staff are normally really friendly

first time ordering from Gandhi, all the dishes were really tasty and arrived piping hot, will order again!

I hope they open soon , as im big fan of afghani food , everytime with my family we have to travel to Southampton, im sure everyone from Portsmouth would love afghani delicious foods!

Just ordered this through Uber eats no exaggeration this is probably the best pizza I've ever had, bearing in mind it was also on offer there was no scrimmage for the fact. Genuinely fantastic could not recommend more if I could I would eat a whole pizza more so good 🙌🙌🙌

I was to picup the order the team is told me to whait 5 minutes i whait 20 minutes is still no was ready the order,i just cancel the order is no point to whait

Been coming here for 13 years never really had a bad curry, nearly always good, not today Pathia no real flavour, the chicken curries was just water, the Korma was very good as usual. Seen review that it has new owners ? maybe new chef, will try one more time in case its a one off. Off to the coop to get microwave curry.

Ordered a risotto which is obviously not their forte since it was disgusting. I've never had a mushroom risotto with carrots before, and £17 for it is absolutely ridiculous. It was worth about fiver.

I know somebody that only has conversations about trains, trams and buses. I'd rather spend time with him sober than be drunk here. If this pub were a person, it would be John Major. The staff are competent and friendly enough though. .

Great takeaway, never ever had an issue with food quality here, staff are great and polite what more can you ask for?
