Eating in, the food is fresh and tasty, and the coffee is good too. My regular Thursday lunch escaping from work.

Absaloute joke of a place 2 hour wait for food they don’t answer phone and send underpaid workers on foot to deliver food! Dump!

Terrible dump 2 hours to attempt to deliver a breakfast on foot from north end to Portchester, they don’t answer the phone either only refund when you turn up avoid!

Had Tuna mayo and it was stunning... The food is tasty and the staff is outstanding. I recommend it.

Whilst their sandwiches are a fiver each they are definitely worth the money. Thier plaited rolls are overflowing with a filling and salad of your choice all freshly prepared on the day and the chicken is halal friendly. The staff are very approachable and do a good job. One thing I really like about this cafe is they provide sugar cubes which takes me back to my childhood when everywhere had them on the tables.

Customer service 10/10 the lady and the man working there were so nice. The food is amazing! The Breakfast roll is tasty and the Chicken Katsu is also very good, i recommend with bbq sauce or spicy mayo oh and we also got toast with ham and cheese it was also very good and cheesy. We ordered for takeout it took about 15 minutes.

If you come here you should get the matcha latte, this latte is so nice it will make you crave it. This place is more than your average cafe, it has a selection of meals and snacks beyond a usual cafe alongside some classic cafe staples.

The current owner use to have a stand in the local town centre , since trying the food years ago it’s the only place I will get lunch, having the katsu and rice with barbecue sauce is amazing the food is great and the owners are so friendly, if you go in try the katsu chicken.

Go here regularly to get takeaway because its the best katsu in Portsmouth! Tempura prawns are amazing and the burgers and so good! For a little cafe in North end its a absolute hidden gem! And the owners are lovely which is always nice to see

Roberto is a clean and comfortable place. Sandwiches and Asian food made me happy. My friend and I will visit again and I want to try many other Asian foods. I want to recommend it to others. Also, the kindness of the owner was amazing.

This Matcha is from Shizuoka, Japan. Perhaps the best Matcha latte in town. With honey the bittersweet tastes was in good harmony.

I’m in love with the food. It reminds me so much of home. I recommend anyone to have a try. Its worth the price.

Had the Japanese beef rice and chicken katsu burger. Portion sizes were generous and filling, and it tasted great. Good experience 🙂

Under new ownership now. Has been for 6 months or so. And not only are the staff very friendly and helpful, but also they offer a very diverse range of cuisines, indeed. English, Mediterranean and oriental. All Cooked perfectly. And very reasonably priced. Well worth a visit.

Stopped by today to notice there are new owners and tried the Asian Beef Rice stew. Absolutely amazing! Highly recommend it and will be trying a new dish on my next visit Everything about the dish was incredable, one of the nicest foods I've eaten in Portsmouth!

What a lovely and cosy little cafe! It was just perfect place to have late brunch.The toasties were delicious and had really good coffee. The staff was so helpful and warm. Definitely coming back every chance!.

No stars!!! Absolutely devastated, a curly hair in one of them ,toasties wasn't even toasted! Thin bits of bread thrown together! I ordered through uber came very quickly bit cold , called the shop they told me to claim money back through uber but it doesn't give me an option atm! Was looking forward to a nice £5 thick toastie! I wouldn't even pay a £1 for what I just received .

0 stars. Not only way overpriced for a toastie, I spent £20 just for the food to never have arrived. Absolutely rude too they’re supposed to be professional and helpful I had to WALK to the cafe to question where my ordered food was and they just had horrible attitude. If they sorted it out themselves I wouldn’t of had to walk all the way from mine to where they were, they even put down it had been ordered 2 hours before I entered the cafe. Won’t be ordering nor letting any of my family order from here again and I hope nobody else does. If you want your overpriced toastie maybe it’s best to actually go there. It just tastes the same as the one you’d make at home 🤦🏼‍♀️

Awful service, awful food, do not recommend. Took 2hrs to arrive, luke warm, cheapest inedible sausages (not sure they were even pork?). Called cafe when delivery was taking too long and so so rude, started shouting at me! Incredibly bad, save your money or go elsewhere.

I ordered from this restaurant on deliveroo - the order took over two hours to arrive. I called the man at the cafe to ask where my order was - he was rude and started shouting at me . The breakfast was not nice - cheap sausages etc. I would not recommend this cafe.

We ordered from this restaurant from Uber Eats and received the worst service I’ve ever had. We placed this order at 10:03 and were informed that the latest delivery would be 11:15. I tried to contact the restaurant a total of 14 times between 11:14-11:52 and each time it rang off and no one answered my call. As it had not arrived and we had had no communication from the restaurant, we decided at 12:15, to eat something else because we were hungry. This was an hour after the latest delivery time and so we assumed the food was not arriving. At 12:47 there was a knock on the door and the food was delivered. An hour and 30 minutes after the latest delivery time. This is totally unacceptable, especially because there was no communication from the restaurant with updated delivery times. I rated the restaurant via Uber Eats and have no contact from the restaurant to rectify the mistake. I paid full price for food we ended up not eating because it arrived so late. No refund received and I’m very disappointed. Absolutely awful and I would never order from here again!

Just ordered 2 toasties that was absolutely terrible for £5 each... They were thin... Under cooked Melted in Hilsea is 20 x better this was terrible I could of made this my self.... Avoid trust me

Food when it arrived was over cooked cold and I ordered crusty rolls but got soft ones only fit for the binwont use this sandwich shop again

Inedible and substandard food took two hours to eventually arrive and two phone calls to chase them up. Was told they only took the order as it was a large order (was for myself and 4 keyworker colleagues following a hectic shift). Their staff were unapologetic with no good reason for the delay. Milkshakes stood so long they seperated and tasted awful. Food was ice cold, sausage was undercooked and 'Crispy' was soggy and chewy! Ordered through Uber but was told they would deliver (obviously didn't want Uber getting its percentage of a £50 order). Refused to refund, now we must fight between Uber and the 'restaurant' for our money back!! I was told next time I order!!!?? There won't be a next time and I suggest if you reading this, no matter how hungry you are - don't waste your time or money!

I ordered my food from Uber eats at around 11am, my estimated arrival time for the food was 12:15-12:35, it’s now 13:47 and I’ve only just revived my food. I rang many times and no one answered. I’ll also note that I paid £13 for a bacon and cheese sandwich and milkshake. I thought the sandwich would have at least been to a good quality but I literally could have made it myself at home. The guy that delivered it was very sweet and I do feel bad leaving this review but I am really frustrated as this messed with my plans for the day.. I wouldn’t recommend

Ordered from Uber eats @10:45am. They said it would be here between 11:15 and 11:35. Called the restaurant at 1pm because the order hadn't arrived. They said it would be here any minute. It's now 1:36pm and they have officially stated via Uber eats that it was delivered (it wasn't) and won't answer their phone. Waiting almost 3 hours after placing the order, for a sandwich, is ridiculous.

Great place to eat and relax, my wife and I were looking for a nice homely place to eat with good quality food and service and Robert's was the place, the staff were very polite and helpful and offered excellent service. The premises have a really warm welcoming feel and it was very clean and well maintained, the food was excellent and of a high standard, I would recommend Robert's to anyone looking for a great place to eat.

We love Roberto's . I have been using them for a couple of years now for home delivery, and the food arrives more often than not way before estimated delivery time .Never had a problem and food is delicious.

Roberto's was a very cosy and friendly cafe. If you are looking for quick bite to eat then definitely try Roberto's. The staff are very friendly and the food was excellent.

Ordered breakfast from Just Eat a 10:30. Just Eat called at 12:30 to say they wouldn’t be turning up due to a problem with their driver.

The title sums it up really, a really well rounded cafe with very friendly staff and some excellent food offerings. Freshly made sandwiches with thick cut bread and the breakfast options are nice but the real treat has to be the banana milkshake!

The perfect hangover cure fry-up delivered to your door, great portion and fresh orange juice. Mushrooms, fried egg sunny side up, perfectly cooked bacon rashers, 2 sausages, beans and toast! Will definately be back.

Llamamos para el desayuno temprano un domingo por la mañana a eso de las 7. 30 en el camino para tomar un ferry. Había bastantes personas y parece un lugar popular. La comida llegó rápidamente por decir que estaba recién hecha. Tuvimos un desayuno inglés completo y huevos con tostadas. El pan era muy agradable, pan blanco cortado a mano y la comida era muy buena, aparte de los champiñones que parecían estar enlatados. El café también era genial. Llamaremos nuevamente si estamos en el área.

Siempre amable y eficiente en la cafetería y cada pedido que hemos realizado en línea para la entrega ha sido rápido y correcto. Café encantador, de hecho mi café favorito de todas las cafeterías. Enormes sandwiches y panecillos con copiosas cantidades de relleno. Excelentes batidos y magdalenas también. Uno de nuestros lugares favoritos para sandwiches y café.

Lovely little cafe with a great selection of food they also let you read their papers. The coffee is lovely and the customer service is first class. We call in whenever we have the time even though we only live round the corner .

Great staff, relaxed vibe and the best expresso i've manager to taste in North End

This cafe has recently been taken over. Let's hope the trouble we had getting our drinks today was just initial teething problems. The man behind the counter was quick to take our money but had to be reminded of the order after 15mins of waiting. The problems seem to arise because they're juggling an over the counter service with a phone order/delivery business. The issue with this is when you forget the people in front of you in favour of delivery service, you might as well just shut your highstreet cafe. As mentioned, hoping this is just teething problems.

When you wake up on a Sunday morning with your tongue stuck to the roof of your mouth, and a head that's banging more than a Bob Marley concert... you know you've had a good night... and you know you're gonna need coffee and bacon... what do you???

We were in Northend Portsmouth and needed a cup of tea and a sandwich. Noticed Roberto's looked busy with a line of locals queueing out the door which must be a good sign. So we decided to 'eat in' and I ordered a cheese ham and tomato toastie and a pot of tea. Both of which were absolutely superb. A big pot with 2 cups of proper tea and this lovely fresh toasted sarny loaded with thick hand sliced ham cheddar cheese and fresh tomatoes. Unquestionably the beast I have ever eaten and at a very reasonable price. A complete freshly made and very satisfying lunch for about £5. My wife had a Chicken and salad wrap which she said was delicious. What more could you ask for. Just try it you'll love it as we did. My only disappointment was that they didn't do a soup because if they did I'm sure it would be good. Perhaps in the colder months they do soup I don't know.

Great service great food amazing coffees and such a lovely owner who is friendly and makes you feel like you're in his home having coffee. I come from cosham to Northend just for a coffee. I highly recommend this lovely cafè for couples, girls catch up, even a quick business meeting. Thanks Rob love the place x

Great coffee, I travel from cosham to get my coffee here! Great food, across from North end cafe (greasy spoon) with an extensive menu of mediocre food. Robertos has a smaller menu of great home made style food. Smaller menu means better faster service!! I love coming in during the winter getting out of the elements to be made feel like I've just walked into the home of a friend. During the summer out of the heat to a lovely cool shop with funky music and friendly staff. Great for couples, catching up with the girls or even a quick business meeting. The owner Rob asks for feedback and takes customer ideas and if possible goes with it! I absolutely love robertos a cafè in a town full of cafes!! Breath of fresh air in Northend and would love to see robertos open a new cafè in cosham lol just for me lol.

In the area today and called in for an excellent coffee. Warm and friendly, central and a refuge from the hustle and bustle of North End. Clearly popular with local residents, which is a good sign, comfortable seating with some armchairs. A wide range of all the foods you would expect, this cafe deserves to succeed. Go, you will not be disappointed.

I have used Roberto's on two occasions now for an early morning pick me up and on both occasions I have been impressed. The coffee is freshly made barista style and tastes great. They do lovely filled rolls or sandwiches with a choice of breads or rolls which is a nice touch. Their bacon baps are yummy - the bacon is crispy and the baps are fresh and soft. I love sitting in the big leather wing armchair by the window sipping an Americano and watching the world go by - An oasis of calm and class in North end.

Living close to this little gem. On my days off I like to Pop in for a coffee and the occasional breakfast! Staff are very friendly and do make a good coffee!
