Kyoto Ramen Japanese Restaurant in Portsmouth

It would be nice to have your actual opening hours stated correctly on google! We have been on Wed around 4pm and the restaurant was closed. Is it even a restaurant???

I get food from here every weekend, staff are incredibly friendly, small family business and some of the nicest and most authentic Asian food I've had in Portsmouth, top notch as always

Tiny little restaurant, great food and service - very quick despite order. Great flavour and variety of dishes and lovely family ran place! Make sure you drop in (before the ferry)

The food is very yummy and it has the whole pineapple in the pineapple fried rice

We had order a soy sauce friend noddle and a Beef Brisket Rice.And the taste and service is insanely good,letting us have a very good habitats.The taste is the best of all in the uk,while the prices is also quite average total recommended.

Excellent service and communication. The beef brisket noodle soup with extras I'd added was absolutely unbelievable. Tastiest noodle soup I've had in a long time and will be a loyal customer for time to come.

All food is delicious. I have eaten it many times. The pineapple fried rice had a whole pineapple, which was a pleasant surprise. Everyone's preferences are different, but this store fits my requirements very well. The boss is also very nice.

Terrible ramen. Ordered the pork dumpling ramen and spicy beef brisket ramen. Both were very bland and soups were very watery, no flavour to them. Oh and the spring rolls were soggy. Won't be ordering again.

My food was not properly cooked, the rice was not cooked well, there was no seasoning in the food. It was just not nice, only managed one mouthful and was unable to eat the rest. Very dissatisfied and disappointed

We just received our order from this restaurant, ordered through Havant and Waterlooville eats. It arrived 50 minutes later than originally predicted, was cold on arrival and the food was frankly disgusting. The sides at £6 each were tiny portions of what appeared to be cheap frozen snacks. The bimbibap tasted of nothing but artificial sweetener and the dumpling soup tasted of simply nothing. Extremely disappointed and will never be ordering from here again.

Delivery by Havant and Waterlooville Eats was late by almost an hour! Food was indifferent in texture and flavour - I was so looking forward it. Price was high for what we got.

Amazing food, excellent service! Would highly recommend to anyone if you love Asian cuisine! Would definitely dine in again.

I came down from London for a bit, and this was by far the best restaurant I visited whilst in the area. Highly recommend with wide variety of food, bubble tea, and welcoming staff.

First time having food from this restaurant and I am very impressed! Also thoroughly enjoyed the bubble tea. They have a large menu offering sushi, ramen and lots of other choices. The staff were very very friendly. We will definitely be returning!

I have eaten from Kyoto Ramen many times now and they never fail to put a smile on my face. With delicate care put into each dish and heart warming presentation the chef's expertise is unquestionable and it comes out in the flavour. I cannot recommend this place enough, whether you're accustomed to Japanese food or trying it out for the first time you can't go wrong here. I'm aware of the irony of recommending curry from a restaurant with Ramen in the name but I can't help it, it's so unbelievably delicious and would recommend it along with shrimp tempura and/or salmon hoso maki to anyone just looking to dip their toes into the pond. Don't be wary of trying out the rest of the menu from time to time tho! You might find yourself surprised with how good it all tastes!

fantastic food! extremely generous customer service too! the food was brilliant, actually want to say the best ramen I've had! the drinks are also fab! will definitely be my regular bubble tea place, the bubble tea was so yummy! :) really amazing value food, much cheaper than the big chains and food is more authentic and just overall a really great business, needs more recognition! 10/10!

We back there again for Japanese Meal. The food was amazing good. Sashimi, nigiri, hand rolls Especially the Spicy noodle “Ramen” I love it so much. We order 2 starter to share for 3 of us and 1 Ramen each which is very large portion. Cannot finish it at all ..

To be honest, I was looking for Chinese; however came across the Kyoto Ramen and took a chance. I had one of the set meals for one and again, when it turned up, I was a little disappointed at what I saw.. but I have to say, I was pleasantly surprised. A lot of flavour and food in the main and chicken and dumplings. Who knows what was going through my head when I ordered tofu - gee, it's like a lego brick sized of nothing. Eating it, hasn't endeared me to tofu. The sweet and sour seaweed was also disappointing - it lacked sweet and sour taste. Myabe it was the cost of living crisis, but the portion size was not worth the price. Friendly and very helpful staff. It gets a 4 star from me because of the staff and main hot meal, a fried beef and noodles.

Love this place for both eat in and takeaway also. The ramen taste like what I eat in Japan, especially the soup. Love it so much.

I tried Kyoto Ramen for the first time today with my friend and we are absolutely in love with the food. The staff was very kind and efficient. I recommend! This place should be more famous.

Fantastic food, very authentic, although a little small for sit down eats with only a few tables, but they do a lot of takeaway. The Ramen is spectacular, but the Hell Spicy Beef stays true to the name - not for the feint of heart. The Tokyo Chicken was a winner, and we'll definitely be coming back regularly to try the rest of the menu.

The staff here are really friendly and happy to make accomodations to menu items if asked (within reason I assume). The food was okay, not bad but not really great either, reflective of the price. I ordered some regular sized spicy ramen and when asked they were happy to make changes to the protein choice and omit certain ingredients. I wonder had I ordered the original dish if it would have been better but ultimately it fell short of expectations, the portion was large though so I would stick with a regular over a large as you get quite a lot. I also ordered some roasted octopus balls which were again just okay. If you're after a cheap, filling, Japanese style meal I would recommend this place. If you want a better quality dish then I would recommend Sakura (Southampton), or Yamazaki Sushi Bar (Basingstoke). The staff are what make this place IMO. A bit outdated as they take cash only in person which isn't great in terms of being covid safe etc.

Been to Kyoto Ramen in Kingston road today, having a special menu : Mixed seafood caviar Cocktail, Wagu Beef Sushi, Roast spicy salmon BonBon, Foie Gras Sushi, Main course is A5 Wagu Beef Rib eye steak with Foie Gras on Himalayan Salt Block

I love this pls r , Very tasty food.... The tast like what I eat in Japan ... especially the smoke Salome sushi & the Bubble tea
