One of best restaurants to have good food and service.

Popped in for a quick meal very nice food piping hot and well cooked.

Super cool and smooth Mango Milkshake but the oreo and Vanilla was little bit too much sugary. Still better than some other average places, very good in portion as well. Recommended!!!

We had takeout from here tonight and were so looking forward to our meal as we have ordered before...but disappointed and disgusted = understatement. Clearly the company has been cutting their costs! Halloumi pitta.... in a cheaper than cheap pitta which hadn't seen a toaster... cold, undercooked (hardly cooked at all) halloumi and rank lettuce. It tasted absolutely horrid...no care or attention had been put into making either order. Smallest portion of chips we actually had to laugh. For what we paid it was just a rip off! How the company thinks that is acceptable is beyond us, won't ever be ordering again.

Very good tasty very hot half chicken

Went here late on a Sunday night & ordered takeaway. food was prepared quickly & was hot & tasty. Chicken burgers were really really good and spice levels are amazing - accurate & yummy. Only complaint is that I ordered a smoothie (£4.50) and recieved what tasted like some syrup and water blended together - definitely did not taste any fresh fruit (like described on the menu) & was a tiny bottle not worth 4.50 at all. Steer clear of any drinks that aren't canned.

Ordered one meal with rice one with hips sent me both with chips all I get on the phone is ill give you a complaint number joke

Much better food than many other similar food outlets in Portsmouth.

First time ordering tonight was a bit apprehensive with it being somewhere I haven't ordered from before. But oh my gosh 10/10 all round will most definitely be coming back with friends :)

Ordered at 8.30pm now 10.12 and still not here. I live 3 streets away but couldn't collect. Called restaurant and she said driver delivering 2 other orders......I'm round the corner. She said another 10mins. If arrives cold it's going straight back and will get refund through pay pal don't normally leave reviews but I'm fuming. A burger n chips hour n a half round corner. Fuming.....oh n starving. If delivery says more than half hour then advice is keep scrolling n go somewhere else because u will either go to bed hungry or eat at midnight. £20 wasted.

Mind blowing if your fedup with nando's and shake&grill and umami try roosters top service, lovely customer service, food over the moon, lots of love to every single person in roosters.

I wouldnt even give one star if it gave me the option... placed an order over the phone and agreed 15 mins and il collect...turned up and was told a further 20 mins when questioned was given an explanation of having to steam the chicken before they grill it....but Chicken is the main item on the menu do they not prepare as a fast food venue? Or do they not know how long steaming and grilling chicken takes to say it will be 35 minutes so we didnt have to wait..an hour later we are home paid for wings given strips because wasnt prepared to wait 20 extra minutes...still ended up waiting close to 20.... by the time we get home its been over an hour to collect a takeaway which wasnt what we ordered.... if you order from here do it before you're even hungry. They did throw in some drinks which we didnt need.

The guy who delivered our food to Paulsgrove has delivered to us in the past. Last time we ordered, we left a delivery note saying we’d like a call when the driver is outside because when the door knocks, the dogs bark, which wakes the baby. Tonight, we forgot to leave the delivery note. But the driver actually remembered us from before, and called us when he was outside. He explained that he did it so that the baby doesn’t get woken up. In my opinion, that is customer service at it’s best, and should definitely not go un-noticed. Thanks! 😊

We were looking forward to this...as a working family who dont have to many treats. Paying £37 for 3 takeaway meals....we were expecting something special. Sadly this really was not the case... I ordered the "BIG BOSS" Burger...for £7.49. Other family members ordered chicken wraps........ My review of the "BIG BOSS" burger.... disgusting....beyond disgusting...I have had more cheese in a Prawn Mayo sandwich from Tesco for 99p..and more moisture in a bag of blue circle cement.... and BIG???? How can you lot even nearly describe it as that? Vile disgusting dry overpriced dogcock... And while it's obviously a chicken takeaway shop....which led me to try the chicken (maybe they just cook chicken properly) as bought by the other householders.....only to find that the chicken was also just as vile. It was actually drier than Gandhi's flip flop...and with as much taste as Lawrence Llewellyn Bowen....and the chips...I hear you ask?. DRY FILTHY DOGNOB.. So my basic review of this place....if you want to spend getting on for £40 for 2 chicken wraps and a big daddy burger....and some chips...by all means. Do it... If you want value for money...Do yourself a favour. Go to Tesco. Get yourself some Rustlers burgers...Some microchips. And never ever ever go near this shitpit.

Used to order from here all the time, but they can't handle their orders. Orders at 7.30, (40min wait) no problem, 1 hour passes, I call back, they haven't even started cooking yet, will be another 30 mins! (Which doesn't include delivery) 1 hour and 30mins for chicken and chips. You've lost a loyal and frequent customer.

As a tourist here, I've eaten in few places nearby past few days and my God how I appreciate these guys for their cleanliness and hygiene, clear allergen menu and just overall fresh clean food. The food was tasty, however I was very disappointed that my so called 'big boss' burger turned out to be the exactly the same size and construct as my children's beef burger I ordered which was a real shame. I was disappointed that they charge £1 per small pot of chilli sauce. Also I requested no tomatoes and of course I found tomatoes in my burger.

Tried this Roosters in Portsmouth today for lunch, Halal Chicken, excellent alternative Lebanese, BBQ and Mexican marinades. Had to try all three didn't I?! Perfectly cooked chicken, Halloumi was just right, massive peri peri chips portion, so moorish, and the service was superb. Didn't have to wait for the food long at all. lady at the counter said about 6mins, 5 mins later, food was ready. Overall great experience. Service with a smile too. Will be going here a lot more!

The Big Boss and Rancher burgers are the best among everything in menu. Only downside is not accepting credit card as mode of payment for deliveries.

The staff are very friendly, helped with the order, explained things on the menu in more detail and is overall very nice and welcoming. Very quick with the food and drinks. Would definitely go again with either friends or family. And recommend to other people as well. The food is also halal.

Well, I ordered a delivery to the hotel I was staying at and it arrived earlier than expected, and man the chicken was absolutely amazing, I have had lots of chicken from lots of different places, usually I would order Nandos but no need to, order from these guys if your in the area! Nandos you better watch out thats all I can say! Awesome :-)

Where do I begin? I waited in store for an HOUR for a takeaway order and every single aspect of the order was wrong: Beef salad, clearly labelled as such on the box, didn't have a single bit of salad. The closest it came to a salad was a few chopped herbs in the labenese sauce. I doubt the sauce has ever been to Lebanon. Falafel wrap was Fal-AWFUL! BURNT TO A CRISP! And not even a nice crisp. Like that old packet you opened two days ago and they've gone all limp. Just tasted of burn. Burn and disappointment. Piri piri fries? Nope, just fries. Plain, boring fries. Might as well have gone to McDonald's. I've ordered from here quite a few times and normally it is very good but if I could rate this less than a one star I would. The halloumi was satisfyingly squeeky however.

Waiting time is too long..30 min to an hour

We ordered from this restaurant for the first time, and we have 2 black hair in the chicken, my son eat only fries and pull hair from his mouth. Absolutely shocked, plus guy on the phon just hang out on me. Great job.

First time we've been for a meal out in a while and it was beautiful, the food was top notch and the service was even better. Can't speak more highly of them after tonight's experience. The covid measures were reassuring and everything about our visit that you could think of was simply outstanding.

The food is saucy, fresh and delicious. Hygiene standards are very well taken care of. I came with a couple of friends today. I had a hot chicken pitta with a slice of pineapple and a freshly squeezed orange juice. My friends had burgers and wraps with piri seasoned chips, everyone was satisfied. Thank you, we will definitely come back :)

A friend that used to work there recommended it as having good food, fresh ingredients and simply a nice place for a meal. Finally got to go and it did not disappoint. Great service as well and very polite staff.

Our usual Sunday treat tonight was very disappointing. The order was delivered and most of the dishes were incorrect. We had ordered 2x Halloumi Pittas with Hot sauce extra Halloumi and Pineapple and both arrived with no sauce and no extras . The Piri Piri chips we ordered were not supplied either -we received plain chips . We spent nearly 20 minutes on the phone trying to rectify the order and wrongly assumed that as regular loyal customers they would be forthcoming in providing the missing items but this was not so. We finally got delivered one Pitta and chips but the time delay meant we couldn’t enjoy the meal as a family which as this was to celebrate a family milestone was very disappointing. The reason for the problem given by the delivery driver was that the order was put together by a new member of the team. unfortunately this did not go very far in apologising for the disappointing service we had received . We will seriously be reconsidering whether we wilk be ordering from this establishment in the future .

I regularly visited this restaurant , I found best restaurant in Portsmouth for good ,tasty, very hygienic food . Service of staff members are very good and fast . I recommend 100%.

Had loads of times always perfect and hot great place love it

Visited for take away, went for the expensive option of haloumi, butterfly chicken, piri piri chips and a milkshake. The chicken was not a butterfly at all but 2 pre cooked breasts finished on the grill, the haloumi was average at best. The chips although hot and freshly cooked were just your standard frozen kind deep fried, then extremely over seasoned, and I love salt, too much, but these were overkill even for me. The most dissapointing part was the milkshake, very small. Not cold, not mixed properly, not worth £4.49. Definitely won't be returning.

Definitely one of my best eating experiences, people working there were very friendly and welcoming and the food was absolutely delicious and halal! My friend and I were very satisfied :)
