The best restaurants in New Forest South East

Tried to go last Saturday evening, No phone attendance, booking system did not work, just turned up to find it closed.

Excellent long weekend with family. Hotel, grounds & staff are all fantastic

Stayed with my daughter. Spacious room nice balcony view. Close to highcliff Castle and beach. Free parking. Bed wasn't as comfortable as I wanted. The bathroom was outdated but big. No room service. Upon check in, I was told that the hotel was due to close down for renovation the following week and would be under new management when we opened in a couple of years.

Decided to visit for lunch today. The food in the special lunch menu was excellent and priced only at £5 per meal. Definitely value for money. Will be visiting again soon

I pop there on a Saturday night as they were closing, and order 1 regular chips and a coke. The Cashier asks me after wars if I want sausages for free, since they are closing for the night. I was generally shocked and accepted, thinking it was some sort of deal, but they just gave me 3 battered sausages and one normal sausage. I didn't properly say thank you for such a kind gesture in such a shocked state, so I hope they see this and to say that they made my rough day at work, end in a goodnight. Definitely going to this place in the future.

Warm and cosy place to come to. Teas and cakes as well as nicely cooked food. All in the heart of the village.

Fantastic restaurant in a lovely hotel. Very covid safe. Staff friendly and helpful. Food delicious. Highly recommended.

It's difficult to find but once you are there you are in for a good surprise. The food is amazing, not pretentious dishes but executed to perfection. I recommend the avocado mousse and the flamboyant chocolate and coffee desert.

Very Disappointing! We’ve eaten here before and had a lovely meal but last night was not satisfactory. The lamb in the passando was tough and chewy, the onion bhajis were undercooked and the nan bread came out cold. When paying over £100 for 2 x adults and 2x kids when the quality is poor leaves a very sour taste in your mouth!

We had an absolutely fantastic birthday dinner here, and it matches or exceeds everywhere we ate on our holiday in Italy this year! The service was relaxed but very attentive, and the sommelier was superb, matching wines perfectly to our dishes. Each dish was faultless, from the gnocchi to the veal, paired with a wonderful glass of pinot noir. If we lived in the area we would eat here all the time!

Great food and well positioned near to the main road but wouldn't like to take a large camper through the streets to get to the pub cars parked both sides of the road
