Cinnamon Lounge in New Forest

*WOULD RECCOMEND* we have been using Cinnamon lounge for years and their food never disappoints!! Staff are always polite and attentive and the food is delicious - Staff Curry!!!! Will definitely be back soon!

The staff and food are great . I had a staff curry and it was one of the best tasting curries I have ever had . My partner had chicken korma and she also said it was fantastic 👌 If we are back in this area again we will be back

As always a smile greets you when you walk into the restaurant, and our preferred drink too !!! The food is delicious and the recommendations made by Islam are such a lovely surprise and greatly received, the best way to try something new ( especially tonight with the gorgeous chicken starter he made for me . ) Our go to restaurant and we can’t recommend it highly enough

Wish I'd seen these reviews before ordering. Ordered at 1718, told it would be 40-60 minutes, no problem with that. However it didn't turn up until 1 hour 30 minutes later. I'd ordered tandori chicken off the bone with garlic rice, I received tandori chicken on the bone with plain rice. When I rang to complain I was told, "there must have been a mistake" (you don't say) and "I'll make a note on the system (without taking my name) and the next time you order we may give you a free boiled rice" Avoid this place like the plague, they don't deliver what you pay for, they don't deliver on time, and as others have noted, the customer service is abysmal.

I know takeaway Indian food is renowned for its oiliness but this was ridiculous. Flavour was ok, not fab but the oil killed it for me. I have loads left over but won’t be eating it. Such a shame! I’ve never used the Cinnamon Lounge Verwood before, I’m just staying for work. Think I have been spoiled by my usual Indian takeaway.

Ordered online at 6.30pm with an estimate of 30mind given for food. At 7.50pm still no food and showing as cooking on the website. Called the restaurant and met with a hostile reception from a female who said it was on its way before even knowing who was calling! Explained that last time we waited over 2hrs and this time had been waiting for nearly an hour and a half despite it giving us a 30mib estimate. She said 'It's always an hour' and refused to accept that the wait times were unacceptable. Frankly a terrible service and bad attitude from staff. When the food did arrive it was cold and the containers on 3/4 full. One king prawn main which cost circa £16 only had 3 prawns in it. Won't ever be ordering again. Shame on you Cinnamon Lounge.

Ordered online 8.30, took money and order went through, didn't mind that there would be an hour wait as understand they're busy & we'd ordered quite late. Tried to phone (many times), either no answer or ringing engaged. 10pm an email comes through to tell us that the order has been cancelled! Happy to take our money obviously - they could have just said from the outset that they were too busy rather than keeping us waiting for food that didn't exist!

Ordered a takeaway to be delivered, they said it would be with us 1.5 hours, 2.5 hours later we are still waiting…. Tried to phone and either the phone keeps ringing or if they do pick up, they hang up on us. So rude! Appalling customer service.

Ordered a take away for delivery at 6.10pm after finally getting through after about 10 attempts. Its now gone 9pm and still no sign of the take away! Called about a dozen times, mostly just rings no answer or they answer and hang up, really bloody unhelpful on all levels. An absolute shambles of a service, will just stick with Spice in Verwood going forward.

Sorry, but we would not order from this branch of Cinnamon again......ever!. After many excellent meals from the Ferndown restaurant my wife mistakenly ordered a Friday night home delivery from the Woodlands branch. 7.53 order time. At 9.20 my wife phoned to check on progress and was told by the lady who answered the phone "its on its way" ....but without even asking who we were!!. OK, I said, lets give it a while longer. 9.40 I rang and had the same reply ...and when I challenged her , a man came to the phone straight away to assure me he "thought it had left". Well surely it either has or it hasnt!?!? His reason for the long wait??? The rain. Yes....the flippin rain! I did ask him if his kitchen had a roof!?. The food eventually arrived at 10.10 , and was pretty cold. The driver was unbelievably grumpy too...and guess what? She barked that the reason the food was late was the rain! Company policy or what!? So, if you want your food to arrive late, cold and the staff to be well trained in ridiculous excuses .......Cinnamon Lounge is the place for you. Awful experience.

We have been loyal customers for years…. 6.20 we ordered a takeaway it’s now 8.30pm and you have decided to not answer your phone. The kids are asleep now, if you’re busy don’t take an order that you cannot fulfill? Massively disappointed tbh

Four of us popped in a couple of weeks ago and had the most delicious meal! The Chicken Harry Mosala is out of the is world! Will definitely try this one again, together with the garlic and cheese nan. Yum 😋

went to the banquet evening and have to say the food was excellent. we only moved to Dorset in November and have struggled to find a good Indian restaurant.

This was our first visit to this restaurant. While the decor and menu were good the slow service, main course served barely warm enough to eat and finally to be charged over three pounds for a glass of sparkling water left us decidedly unimpressed. The starters were OK but the main course curries were poor quality meat. Not a place to recommend.

Ordered for the first time as advised it was really good. Had the home delivery. Delivery time was great. Lovely delivery person. Food? Really not great. In fact not sure what it was. 1 main looked like tomato soup with 5 small pieces of chicken which didn’t even show at the top of the 3/4 full tub. Pathia was the wrong colour and had absolutely no heat whatsoever. Again 3/4 full tub. Sag Paneer was just a melted mess. Not sure how coz I’ve never managed to melt paneer! Expensive for the quality and quantity. There is certainly a much much better Indian located in verwood. Certainly won’t return here again

Well if you want to be treated like royalty try Cinnamon lounge . We have had the loveliest date night with attentive polite and friendly staff to accompany the most delicious food . We were treated to a banquet starter that was so delicious we struggled to finish our main course which was equally as tasty . A lovely bottle of red wine just complimented the meal perfectly……. And don’t forget the restaurant is air conditioned which is a joy in itself . Highly recommended and well worth a visit

Was give the wrong starter and when I said it was wrong,the waiter argued with me and said no this is what you ordered and wouldn't change it,also the service was really bad ,and they weren't that busy,the waiter stood and chatted to someone for 15 minutes, I tried to get his attention to order coffee that was part of are meal ,but didn't have time for them in the end as are taxi turned up.

I ordered s Korms Curry as a treat for myself as it is my dear husbands and mine 48 years anniversary. It was awful. I complained and they sent me another and I repeat it was awful. Tasteless, watery etc. Will not be ordering from them again. DISGUSTING

Have been several times with family & friends. Everytime is excellent. The service is always friendly & attentive. The food is really good, my family and I are from Birmingham, so we know a good curry, and this place does not disappoint.

I have never seen so much oil in all the dishes. Even the dips that cane with the papadam were watered down. Never going to order a take away From there again.

The food at this restaurant is among the best you will get, I have eaten Indian/Bangladeshi food all over the world, this is one of the best. Service is impeccable and really warm and friendly. I would thoroughly recommend this restaurant

I have heard such good things about the cinnamon lounge, I thought I would give it a try.Very disappointing Bombay potatoes, very dry, not very much sauce. The potatoes were large so in the middle they were tasteless. Lamb madras, the sauce was excellent but sadly the lamb was tough and tasteless. It tasted like the meat had been reheated a few times. Such a disappointing experience. Probably wouldn’t give them a second chance.

No grease, tender meat and bundles of flavour. I'm new to the area and its fair to say we'll most definitely be regulars! (Korma, Jalfrezi, sag bhaji were the main things we ordered). Go try!

For the first time in years I ordered a takeaway for two people after seeing a recommendation for the Cinnamon Lounge on Facebook. I checked the website to make sure they deliver to our village. I live on an unlit, unadopted road, but it is in the middle of the village and a check on Google Maps with our house number exactly places our home. I was given a delivery time of 20.20 (an hour and 20 minutes from ordering). I phoned at 20.36 and was told, in a very muddled call, that the delivery person had left ‘ages ago’. I missed the exact time she delivered because I had to stand outside to flag her down, but I believe it was about 20.45-50. She gave a vague apology and complained about not being able to see a thing. The food was produced in a regular takeaway bag, no insulating bag or box in the car that I could see. The food was all but cold and, adding insult to injury, missing the Naan bread that should have accompanied one of the main courses, so we had to share my rice between two. The food, had it been warm, may have been passable, but was rather oily. I was thoroughly disappointed with this service and a subsequent email to the Cinnamon Lounge stating my complaint has gone unanswered. Not what you expect when you pay nearly £30 for a meal for two people!

We booked to have our 1st meal out since pre lockdown. Having worked for months on end due to being an NHS worker I was looking forward to a meal in our favourite indian. When we arrived it was the busiest I have seen the carpark in all the times we have been over the years. There was little in the way of the tables being socially distanced. I could see that we would end up either less than 2 metres from the next table so came away.This was really disappointing. I appreciated businesses need to get back to some normality, but it is quite clear customers do not see the dangers of eating where the viral load is far more than outdoors.

Ordered on just eats got 3 different delivery time so over a hour late. Was it worth the wait no. Good cold no real taste had to heat it up if it was not for the fact we had waited so long would have cancelled the order. Waste of 26 pounds. Last order from here about 2 years ago and it was not that good then so will pass going forward.

We took two special friends out for a meal. Usually we would always go to Cinnamon in Ferndown, but due to logistics we decided to go to Woodlands, as we used to years ago before Alam moved to Ferndown. A good result as it was a special deal night at 50% off. All dishes were excellent and the meal was enjoyed by all. Pleased that we could have a meal as good as Ferndown.

Had a takaway tonight, superb, food quality was fresh and full of taste, .The resturant opened tonight after full refurbishment, looks fantastic, also now has a great outside eating area I would reccomend this resturant to anyone that appreciates good food and service

We have eaten here a couple of times and last night we ordered take away and the quality was just as good as when your at the restaurant. Will always recommend as they are probably one of the best Indian restaurants we have been to.

Food was cold and late. Main dish was disgusting, tasteless and watery. Tried to call the restaurant but had no luck getting through. Understand its busy time but that does not excuse the disgusting food. Will not be using again.

My husband and I really enjoyed our meal on banquet evening. Nice and friendly with dimmed lighting and pleasant music. The food was excellent and the staff so attentive. We have been here before a few months ago and still so excellent.

As a group of 12, we visited this restaurant last night for multiple birthday celebrations, on the back of the recommendation of some of our group.I have to say, it was a great evening. That was some of the best Indian food I've eaten in Dorset, certainly better than anything in/around the Bournemouth area.As a group, we ordered a wide range of dishes, so I got a chance to taste lots of different things, and everything was delicious. Additionally, all of it was served in good time, with good service, and all the extra touches were much appreciated. I will definitely be going back again!

I went here last night, there were 15 of us on a work colleagues retirement party. I'm a bit of an indian restaurant virgin but it was very nice. I looked up the menu beforehand online so I knew roughly what I was going to choose. I had the chicken Kashmir with some coconut rice and it didn't disappoint. It was very nice. The service from the waiters was great, very attentive and pleasant. The ambience in this restaurant is lovely with subdued lighting and nice decor. I thought the prices were very reasonable as well. I didn't hear any complaints from any of my colleagues either so all in all it was a very enjoyable night. This restaurant is a bit out of the way in Woodlands but its well worth a visit. They do takeaways as well I believe. All the food is freshly cooked so it took a bit of time but what would one expect for 15 people. Well done Cinnamon Lounge, you're doing a great job.

What a find and worth the small detour from the A31. Simply the best Indian food we have ever tasted. All food completely freshly cooked so worth the wait. Spotlessly clean, great presentation and attentive staff who know how to give great service.

It was our first time visiting Cinnamon lounge, we had heard great reviews and wanted to try somewhere other than our local Indian restaurant. Well... we certainly were not disappointed!!! 6 amazing accompaniments to the poppadums to begin with. Drinks served fast and lovely big glasses of wine! We all ordered a complete different range of curries/rice/sides etc and every single dish was full of flavour and tasted divine. The staff will make your dish to your preference (Spice level)We had a couple of birthdays in our family and the staff took great care of them, even came out with some chocolate covered ice cream with candles and sang happy birthday!!! Even though the restaurant and food was amazing (sorry I can’t remember the staff names) our waiter was one of the BEST. He made us all feel welcome, his banter was hilarious and he was fun. He was very knowledgable of the menu and the wines they had to offer. It was very quiet in the restaurant but we saw lots of deliveries for takeaways going out, but it would be lovely to see this place thriving so we will be spreading the word to friends and family to give you a visit and no doubt we will be back soon!THANK YOU!

Five of us meet here for dinner and once again had a great evening. The staff were very friendly and helpful. The food was delicious with very good size portions allowing us to have desserts. It was a pity that it was not a bit busier.

An unexpected restaurant tucked away in rural surroundings. The food and service was good, the menu fairly standard and the beer cold. Good atmosphere and pleasant people.

Absolutely the best curries and takeaway out there. Fantastic customer service by everyone. You are greeted at the door by polite and friendly staff who are engaging and very attentive. The food comes very quickly and you are served with drinks while waiting. Fantastic food as always. Can not recommend this place enough.

I have previously been for a banquet meal at this restaurant and it has been good. I returned again and had a poor meal. The website said 5 courses and £13.95. When we got there it was £14.95 and only four courses.

As you walk in Alan & staff great you with lovely smiles all round. We ordered our drinks & poppadoms all came quickly & lovely pickles to go with it. Me & my husband had a sharing starter which was very good indeed plenty of it & very tasty. For my main I had a sizzling salmon dish no complaints there & my husband had a lamb dish also lovley. The waiter even asked if we wanted to wait awhile before we had our mains which was nice as we was in no rush. So many places take your starter away & then the next thing is your main is there, so nice to have a wait in between meals. Would def recommend this place & will be back it is worth the trip out to this place.

We enjoyed a family reunion meal. I agree with previous reviewer about the seating it was challenging and took away from the full enjoyment. The table is wide and so not only were we sat in sinkholes but we had to shout to be heard. Meal was lovely. King prawns and mango and coconut was lovely. Would go back for imaginative dishes but might bring cushions!

Me and my partner had gotten in the car and decided to head to dinner, we both chose the cinnamon lounge, arrived at the venue and it was looking warm and cosy, stepped inside where we were greeted by the wonderfully friendly staff! Always good when the staff are friendly sets the mood for dinner.

We booked Cinnamon Lounge last minute. We were warmly welcomed on our arrival and shown to our table. The restaurant was decorated in a clean and modern style. We ordered drinks which were delivered quickly with the menus. The menu was extensive with some unusual house specialities on offer. The popadoms were really light and both our curries were superb. The service was really excellent and the whole experience was great value for money. We will definitely be returning soon.

Took two of our grandchildren there last Saturday for a treat for them. Went early and was surprised that there were several other families with children of a similar age.

Would highly recommend Cinnamon, the menu is superb with signature dishes that differ from the usual standard options that you would find at an Indian restaurant. We opted for the £14.95 4 course Wednesday night buffet which includes any starter, main, rice or naan with coffee or icecream. Everything was piping hot and so tasty with prompt service. These nights get busy so I would recommend booking an earlier time 5:30 or 6pm as the restaurant really starts to fill up quickly. Service was excellent and we were made to feel very welcome. I won’t hesitate to come back again.

Where else would I want to go for my 60th Birthday mealm but the Cinnamon Lounge. Alam and his team never disappoint. Excellent food and service throughout. Everyone loved it as usual.

Last minute decision to eat out on my birthday and Cinammon were able to seat us at short notice so we arrived and had a drink at the bar whilst our table was laid.

Another overdue visit to the wife's cousin and his wife, so eating out is often part of the experience with the Cinnamon playing a huge part in our trip. It has been some time since we were here, but the atmosphere, service and food is just outstanding...... Everybody had something different for starters and mains and we were all highly satisfied with the whole package, which meant on this occasion, looking at the dessert menu, but deciding we couldn't do them justice...... Thank you Alan for maintaining such high standards.... Readers - please remember to book !!

Ordered home delivery very good service and delivered hot and time stated. Good choice of dishes and very tasty food. They even put in free poppodums and dip, which was a nice touch. Would highly recommend.

On our first visit we was made very welcome & they were very helpful with helping us make the right choice as it was our first experience in a Indian Restaurant. The staff are very friendly the food excellent & the prices very reasonable compered to other restaurants in the area.

Visited Saturday evening after stumbling upon this place close to where me and my partner were staying, lets just say we were so glad we did! The staff were so attentive and friendly, with quick service but not at all rushed. The food was on the pricier side but most definitely worth it as it has to be the best curry we've ever had! Such a shame we live so far away but will definitely visit whenever we come down to Dorset.

WE have used the Cinnamon Lounge on several occasions. It is quite weird to find this establishment in the middle of nowhere but, as we were staying just half a mile away, it IS very handy. We use the carryout rather than the sit-in restaurant. The choice is wide nd the food is good but it is a bit expensive for what it is. Still, if you are in the area and fancy a carry out, you don't really have a lot of choice.

Attended friends 30th birthday. The second time we have been. A large party of varying ages and tastes all of whom had nothing but praise for service, quality of food and value.

Visited Friday evening and was disappointed with the quality of the meat on offer. To charge the higher prices it is necessary to serve the best quality food, but the Lamb was bland in flavour and contained a lot of soft fat. It should be possible to serve better quality as we have found in the past here. The curry sauce was noticeably inferior to any we have had before. We will show our disapproval by not using this restaurant in the future.

OMG this place, the food through to the friendly and helpful staff, was amazing last night. Having moved from Kent and being a regular at the British Raj In Sittingbourne, we didn't think we would ever find food that came up to the standard there, but last night, we found it. We left our meal choice to our host Shah and his chef, and what followed was the most amazing selection of tastes we could have wished for. It's a bit out of the way in Verwood for us, but well worth the drive from Bournemouth. The staff couldn't do enough for us but not in the way at all. Excellent food, value for money. Try it. You will go back over and over.

I am usually a massive fan of cinnamon but tonight has really annoyed me. I waited 2 and a half hours from ordering when the order time was only 40mins - 1hr. I tried calling the restaurant numerous times (about 10 times) with no answer. When the food came there was no initial apology it’s only when I pointed out how late it was did the women say sorry. When it actually came to the food, they ignored my requests that I put down and also the food was cold! I tried to call the restaurant to say it was cold but yet again no answer. A very disappointed customer

Not up to its usual high standards. The food was delayed (it happens, not a problem) but when it finally turned up it was pretty cold which was very disappointing. It’s a shame, the food and service is. normally really good.

This has to be our favourite curry house locally, we have never been disappointed with our food or service. I can recommend the delicious barbecued fish. All staff are attentive and accommodating. Pleasant atmosphere and definitely worth travelling the distance to dine here. 5 stars *****

On Dec 18, we met up with my wife's cousin and his wife, so we could enjoy a lunchtime get together and catch up. We had been to Cinnamon some months ago during an evening when it was very busy but enjoyable too, so this visit was quieter and the high standards were maintained. Great service by Alum (the owner and front of house person), with all the varied food just superb......

The only reason why our food was slightly late was because of the hugely busy festive period. Every other time it’s all spot on! However the butter chicken was absolutely magic as always. To be honest I’ve never had a bad dish here ever. Eat in or take out Cinnamon Lounge is a gem in the countryside. The staff are courteous but friendly, the restaurant is beautifully clean and well presented, the menu is wide and varied. Love it

All the food was cold-warm full of flavour

For a birthday treat we ordered a take away from the Cinnamon lounge which was delivered. Unfortunately everything was sitting in an inch of grease/ fat and was covered in oily onions. We ordered 5 dishes. Only one of them was edible. They also forgot a Nan bread that we ordered and paid for. On the positive side they said it would be delivered within an hour and it was. This was a treat as we can't afford a takeaway very often. All in all and it was very disappointing. We will never visit again.
