We had the most delicious Sunday roast. Staff were very friendly and accommodating. A bonus was a walk around the lake, which made the day very special.

We discovered this small cafe just a few years ago, and have visited regularly. It is not the place if you want a cooked meal, but has a nice range of sandwiches, baguettes, toasties and cakes, all reasonably priced. On our latest visit we had toasted cheese and ham sandwiches, followed by delicious chocolate caramel shortbread. Thankfully it's a quiet spot, with very pleasant staff. In warmer weather there is a small outdoor seating area, with views of The Mole and Boxhill. Pleasant and restful. The Garden Centre is good too, with an excellent range of plants.

WOW! This place is a real gem. Service is 100% from the minute you walk through the door. The food is outstanding and sandwiches are stuffed to the brim! You absolutely get your moneys worth. Plus, there is a wonderful selection of home gifts and treats. Highly recommend paying Amy at Buckland Deli a visit, you won't regret it!

I visited the Grumpy Mole on Thursday with some friends and we were all really impressed. From the moment we arrived to the end of the evening, we were well looked after. We ordered a variety of meals – I had the steak & kidney pudding, and it was the best I’ve had in years! One of us had specific dietary restrictions, and the young lady serving us was very helpful in dealing with that. Even though she seemed to be training someone at the same time, her service was still attentive and enthusiastic. We’ll definitely be recommending and we will return!

My friends and I came for lunch after 1 previous visit before lockdown. We all opted for the roast dinner and wow - it was absolutely delicious!!! We all said it was the best roast dinner we'd ever had!!! Every part of it tasted amazing and we cleared our plates! We also couldn't resist having a dessert and those were also amazing, we're already planning our next visit!!!

We had a fab breakfast at The Reverie. Quality ingredients (including some of the best hash browns we’ve ever had), quick service and attentive, friendly staff who clearly take pride in what they do. The rain was torrential so we didn’t get to fully appreciate the setting but you immediately see how stunning it will be in better weather. Vitally, the prices are unbelievably good value. A fresh, quality breakfast for £13 is unheard of in these parts - there’s plenty of places in nearby Reigate charging a lot more for a lot less. The staff and management are clearly fully invested in making their venue the best it can be for people and it really shows - superb.

As a fairly regular client since 2015 we are so dissappointed that this, our one time favourite regular, has sunk to such a low state. It was a hub of warmth and coviviality when Anna ran it but now we find it cold and pretty unwelcoming even after the change of ownership. Even the new table layout seems to jar somewhat. The fish finger sandwich was good, the coronation chicken a chef should be ashamed of - a smear of sauce on the bread and chicken put on top. That is not acceptable. The service I would describe as desultory at best and not focused on the customer standing in front of him, and even if so not with a smile. It is such a gorgeous building from the outside it is a shame nothing on offer inside matches it. Going to the pub is no longer a cheap trip out and the total package needs to be on offer to justify a visit, beat the competition and optimise the yield from footfall. Plenty of better options with a few miles.

I've visited this cafe many times over the years. The staff are always helpful and friendly, there is a good range of cakes and meals reasonably priced, with gluten free and veg options, and the coffee is lovely and hot! It's a pleasant place to sit looking out over the vegetation!

Stopped off on the way through for a late lunch at the Arkle Manor. Walking through the door there was a nice buzz, and the pub felt warm and inviting on a dull December day Food was great. Padron peppers for starters that were sizzling when they arrived and I had the lamb rump which was cooked to perfection. Great service from both Andy and Kate - Attentive but not intrusive. Will definitely be returning in the New Year.
