The Arkle Manor in Mole Valley

Looking for somewhere new to try locally and had a look online and found the new lunchtime menu that has been introduced It has a great selection of favourites, including Fish and Chips and gammon steak. which was very tasty we had a lovely lunchtime meal and will definitely be visiting again.

A shambolic mismanagement lunching experience. If it’s a busy day, deploy staff, attentive staff. Please don’t allow smokers at the entrance. Don’t use large tub chairs which were ridiculously low and too big for the table, we had to get cushions 😬 Had to chase up drinks more than once. And please don’t fill up the soft drinks with an unnecessary and large amount of mint and chunks of cucumber, why? This used to be a pleasant place to eat at. Never again

Visited The Arkle Manor yesterday with a friend. The first time I have been back for quite some time. My previous visit with week-end visiting friends, left much to be desired, as the outside space was filthy with cigarette butts, a mountain of dead leaves, wet cushions, and a management who didn’t seem to care. However, having read reviews on Tripadvisor recently, I booked for lunch yesterday and was very impressed. Our server, Tom was amazing… very efficient, friendly and attentive. We sat in the refurbed bar area, & enjoyed Lavazza coffees prior to our lunch reservation. The menu is varied with plenty of choice for even the most fussy of eaters. We loved the butternut squash & sage soup, & the mini dessert options with a hot drink. We will definitely return! Well done on changing a previously disappointing restaurant into one that I now look forward to visiting with confidence. My only criticism would be that I’d like to see staff wearing some kind of smart casual uniform. Hard to determine at times who the staff members are.

Had a lovely lunch with a friend , we were welcomed by a lovely waitress,unfortunately i didn’t get her name, everywhere was spotless , Food was really good and arrived quickly,its a little bit more expensive than some places but the atmosphere is great. So nice to be able to chat without loud music on, we will definitely be returning

Really lovely family celebration lunch. We enjoyed steaks, lamb shank, duck noodle salad and pizza followed by rum and toffee puddings, honeycomb ice cream, coconut and raspberry sorbet. All food delicious and great service from Tom. We would recommend

I have used this pub for many years and it is not and never has been a 'gastro' pub. Its an average pub/restaurant with very average food. We had snacks and drinks . I was charged £ 7.20 for a pint of lager , the most expensive pint in a very expensive area and when i asked one of the staff, politely , to top up the enormous head on the beer ( probably about a pounds worth of foam !) she reluctantly did, stating that her manager insisted that 5% is head, 95% rest. I corrected her that this wasnt an oversized glass, so i could have the pint with no head up to brim by law , if i so wished and at £ 7.20 a pint there should be no argument... The interior decor is ok , the outside gazebo is filthy and the garden is overgrown.....AVOID unless you crave mediocrity at high prices

We hadn't visited the restaurant for a while and were pleasantly surprised to see id had undergone a refurb. The food was good and the portion size was generous. The staff were excellent and we will go back again.

Very clean pleasant atmosphere food was fantastic grear portion size and cooked fresh Lily our waitress was amazing very bubbly always smiling and just a really genuine lovely person was also very efficient.

I took my mother (who has dementia) for lunch here on 12 July and we were very well looked after by Kaya and Jamie. Kaya in particular was wonderful with my mother. I bring her here from time to time and the food is generally good. There is enough space around the tables for my mother not to feel crowded and anxious. We will definitely return. Thank you.

I came with my sister and nephew, as soon as we walked through the door we were welcomed warmly and nicely. We were served by Kaya who was completely wonderful with my nephew and very attentive to us. We also received a very warm welcome from Scott. All of the staff went above and beyond for us as they always do. Always recommend the Arkle Manor to everyone! The food was also incredible as it always is!

Came here for a family meal was lovely. Staff was amazing and the food was great. My partner is very picky with food but he loved his pork belly. 100% would recommend!! Perfect for family occasions or just a drink.

Had a fabulous lunch today , 5 family members served by the incredible Lilly, this young lady was outstanding her attitude and humour coupled together with her great knowledge made this meal thoroughly enjoyable. The food and the new menu were delicious, we could not fault it in anyway a 10/10 experience. Thank you we loved it, keep doing what you do Lilly 👍

Met with some old work colleagues for a catch up and lunch, the bar staff were amazing with excellent service , however the food on the other hand not so good, I ordered a 3 cheese pizza with mushrooms, when it arrive the toppings looked scarce with the mushrooms looking very black! there was a reason for that they were burnt to a crisp, charcoal even. Not much taste to the pizza and so was very disappointing , won't be ordering that again. So staff excellent , Food poor.

Went for Sunday lunch 18th Feb at the AM . Staff were very pleasant. Had a lovely roast lunch, couldn't fault it in any way. Beautifully presented and perfectly cooked. See attached photo (taken without the veg btw) Best roast I've eaten for years! will be back, thankyou x

Nut free environment which makes this an extremely safe place for us to eat and staff are extremely helpful about any food allergies. Food is excellent. Home from home. Warmly welcomed and recognised by staff. Always so really well looked after and friendly chat. It was a birthday meal too.

Avoid like the plague. Booked online for me and my 2 daughters. When we arrived and asked for our chosen table, the assigned staff said it wasn't available and took us to a dead area. I asked for the manager but he said he was too busy. I have been regularly when the 2 women were in charge and the experience was tremendous. I spent in excess of £300 each time. They have now left and the new regime is a shambles. The new manager must go and I shall advise all locals to avoid the AM until he does. He is utterly hopeless

We stopped off here on the hopeful chance they would have a table, and luckily they did. We had an incredible Sunday roast and our waiter, Jame, was lovely. He provided great service and was very friendly, making an effort with my children. The food was 👌 and we will definitely be back 🙂

Just had a great roast at the Arkle Manor . Hadn’t booked and they managed to squeeze us in. Food and service was excellent. James was really attentive and welcoming. My wife is a vegetarian and raved over the fig and dolcelatte nut roast. Mt pork belly was really good.

We received excellent service from our waiter today. The food was wonderful and the atmosphere in the restaurant is excellent. My guests commented on the high standard of customer care from all the staff. Our personal waiter was Luca and he treated us with respect while being warm and friendly too.

Visited on a Sunday for a roast with my Mum for her birthday. The service and food were brilliant. Staff were extremely helpful and friendly. Our food was served very quickly and was delicious. Will definitely be visiting again

The Arkle Manor is very special to us as 8 years ago we had our first date. We have periodically been and had good meals, however in the last year the place has gone down hill, tonight was the last straw.. Firstly, table booked was not ready as others were still sitting there from previous sitting, then normal coke instead of diet requested. Ordered sausage and mash green beans served with gravy, it was actually served with a bowl fatty greasy fluid. Complained and took 25 mins for a new one to come out minus the gravy. New meal came and the sausage were pale under cooked and tasted like cheap chip shop type sausage at a cost of £18!!! Manager came asked if it was OK and proceeded to pat me on the back !!!! Very unprofessional.. Ask for the bill twice before it finally arrived and then proceeded to charge me in full, no compensation ... disgusting, not going here again... And also make sure you wear a coat or jumper as the place is freezing...

We arrived without a reservation on Thursday and front of house managed to squeeze in 3 adults and 3 hungry grandchildren for lunch. Excellent customer service. A delightful young man took our order and nothing was too much trouble - all done with a smile. Food was good and the atmosphere was friendly and welcoming. Thank you very much - We will be coming back again in the New Year.

This is around our 4th visit to the Arkle manor and it really is a lovely place to meet up with friends It’s not all packed in table next to table and you feel squeezed in ! Very comfortable surroundings Food is cooked very well comes on a hot plate which I always love so your meal stays hot Our waitress Lucia well what a lovely girl polite and has a bit of banter about her ! Always come here for events, today we went for our mum's birthday - Tom and all staff were lovely, couldn't have done more for us. One of our party were gluten free and they accommodated us perfectly without hassle. Lovely meal, kind and friendly staff. Will be back soon :)

First time here- menu was very good and beautifully cooked! James the assistant manager is a fantastic ambassador for this company, his service was fantastic and the best we’ve had in a long time. After years working in bars/ restaurant and running the hotel on a cruise ship, we know and appreciate what good service is and James really is amazing at his job!!
