Situated in Leatherhead in Surrey. Great pub, Good prices. 15 minutes walk from the train station. Can be hit and miss when waiting to be served but the staff go out their way to be quick as possible. Prices reflect how busy they are. If you have good prices that reflect value for money with friendly staff, then you will do well. However, economics, cost of living, rises play an important part. Nice pub, friendly staff..

Been to this place on a friend's call to catch up for a drink. Lovely place, plenty of seating inside and outdoor. Nice decor to make you feel bit historical. Service was good which matter to me. Quiet atmosphere with lovely vibes. Even reading about Donald Campbell life history on the wall board. Btw we had good time on drinks and then move on. Glad I was here.

Wow, I ordered a Freedom Breakfast, on the menu at £4.45 when he rang it up it was £2.25! I told him it was wrong but he said the prices can vary from the menu. Crazy bargain? Thank you staff 🍜

Very short waiting times for food, the staff was very friendly and nice seating area around the side of the pub. Their medium-rare steaks are one of the best stakes I've had and their onion rings are very nice too. Their hot chocolate is nice and chocolaty whereas other Wetherspoons are quite watery. Overall would recommend it.

I spent £10 on a pint and a burger with some mates and i’ve seen babies have bigger portion sizes than what i got. I received a tiny burger (which i waited 45 minutes for) with no sauce, onions or pickles despite the menu saying it came with all 3 and about 8 chips. The only saving grace is, like all spoons, the drinks were cheap. Service was horrible and appalling long and the food is a scam. Go to a different spoons or pub if you value your time and money.

The only good thing about Leatherhead. The town is awful but this place was welcoming.

3 of us had the large English breakfast with an orange juice and unlimited coffee. Was a massive meal and very nice quality. 100% happy and recommend it to anyone with a big appetite. Very impressive.

Exceptional service and good. My photo is of the approximately £3 medium sized vegetarian breakfast. I later added a pint of 3.4% IPA for just £1.80. The same food and pint in a non spoons pub would have been £13. There is no cost of living crisis if you use this pub.

Past 2 times we've been here all the tables are dirty having to clear tables ourselves as customers as staff were just chatting and walking past not clearing plates or glasses...foods gone down hill as well cheesy chips barely any cheese on them last time we visited onion rings where missing and lemon and herb chicken was soggy and not very nice either, I know its cheap and cheerful but it used to he much better

Visited on 29th December. Unfortunately there was an evident lack of staff. 50 minute wait for food, tables not cleared, one person behind the bar and pub busy. Staff who were there were helpful and polite.

It was lunch time and very busy. There was one person serving at the bar, but they did well, under the circumstances. As usual , very slow to clear debris from tables. Clearly short staffed and those that were there, did their best. Drinks were a good price and food was tasty.

Too many people and too loud, service spot on and food, you know, you get what you pay for.

Very small portions compared to other Weatherspoons Disappointed

They seem to have cut the portions & I don't understand why with apple crumble there's no custard option unlike nearby weatherspoons. Otherwise a nice setting.

Great as we were staying a night at the travel lodge and as there's no food we walked 2 mins up to here for tea and breakfast and both were great

I am a young person who frequents here. I am above 20. Tonight I was in the corner of the restaurant with my coffee (I come alone) and some man in an armband comes up to me and demands ID. I'm then told I "need to leave" by him and a waitress once it hits 9pm in a way that was indignifying and extremely tactless. I was not informed of this rule prior about those who look under 25 and this is abominable treatment of the peaceful people here doing nothing but trying to enjoy a meal. I could understand if I was chugging vodka and screaming but I come here for the coffees to sit alone. I won't be frequenting here now after 6 months of loyalty. Let this be proof of how this Wetherspoons Leatherhead feels entitled to treating its loyal customers in a Draconian and utterly utterly shameless manner. Shame on you, vile. PS: I am keeping an eye on this review. Update: I just tried phoning the pub and I am told by the man who picked up the phone that the "*only*" way to make a complaint would be online. After making my complaint online I learn this is not true from the website. Edit after the response from owner: Once contacted about the outcome of my online complaint I will be talking to the Wetherspoons complaint overseers of the deliberate fabrication of details by the waitress/manager who came very close to my face and told me once it hits 9pm I "HAVE TO LEAVE." I know the way I was spoken to and I do NOT tolerate gaslighting. If my review is messed with I am happy to make this more public.

A very nice example of a Wetherspoons. Indoor and outdoor seating. Open fire on the ground floor has a nice atmosphere. Friendly and efficient staff. Clean venue. Food adequate as always. Order through the app for table service.

Very mixed feelings, in regards to this first time visit. One cannot argue at the price of £1.77 per pint of IPA. Excellent amount of (front) outside seating. Both a colleague and myself agreed with several, previous, reviews of this venue - in regards to there being extremely loud, profane sets of drinkers, outside, which I could certainly understand being off-putting if I had a family I wished to take, or if I was a woman (or in a group of women). We weren’t remotely intimidated as we are both men, but it was horribly loud.

Disappointing hygiene standards, and the food is nowhere near what it was 4 months ago. I know it's a pub and drinking is there but alot of these middle aged/old guys need putting in their place when they start chatting up young girls/very young women. Alot of the staff are decent and friendly so there's that.

Really excellent cod and chips and chicken and chips. Shame about the bar, dirty glass rim and no coffee in machine.

This is a typical Wetherspoons restaurant and you receive what you expect from this franchise. Friendly staff, good safe environment and table service is working very well. Recommended!

Not up to wetherspoons normal standard. Still serves cheap decent variety of beer. It is the normal food menu, but it was not cooked properly. it was all rather rough and ready and it seems to attract all the areas heavy drinkers making the atmosphere unpleasantry. We will give this Wetherspoons a miss in the future

As a spoons fan, I visited here as I was in Leatherhead. The venue itself is really nice. You get your money's worth with food, but it's always really enjoyable. Staff were really friendly.

Poor, on this particular night, the place seems to be run by kids, slow service even when the place is empty. Staff refused to address extremely loud family despite half the pub complaining about them.

In a street with Italian restaurants, there were expectations for good Italian food. The duck was very well received, although the pizza were much to be desired. The gluten free base was burnt, and the kids pizza dough looked like there was mold on it. It wasnt, it was a herb, but didn't look like it was intentional. The salad had two boys of mozzarella, maybe they ran out of stock? There were sun dried tomatoes on top of the tomatoes, so I'm not sure what the chef wad trying to do here. No olive oil f for dressing, and a small piece of basil. Certainly, expensive plate just for tomatoes and a bit of mozzarella, avocado, and few olives. More effort is needed for that. The staff were accommodating to directs requirements and children behaviors, although the food was just not meeting the serving standards.

The usual Wetherspoons formula. Cheap beer good value basic meals. However this particular branch seemed to attract a number of loud customers who obviously had been on the booze for some time. It spoilt our visit and we felt uncomfortable and slightly threatened by their behaviour. For that reason we will be giving it a miss in the future

We went here with friends for a relaxed evening and we were very pleased with the service we received from the pleasant bar staff. We spoke to a lovely young lady who I believe was the manager. I have to say she was a very polite lady who took the time to talk to us and made us feel very welcome. The food was reasonably priced and was nice. I would recommend this pub and will definitely be going back. Thank you.

There's the normal great Weatherspoons menu with something for everyone. Plenty of tables and a nice atmosphere. Our drinks too a little while to come but the food came quickly. Food was well cooked and hot. Ordering was easy on the app.

Love this pub! The atmosphere is amazing, they have cute fairy lights at the front of the pub which makes the place look so fancy. The staff are also so welcoming and friendly. Cutest spoons I’ve ever been to!

Kara was really nice and welcoming and the food was well nice and it was just generally an excellent experience which was nice.

Been in several Wetherspoons over the years including this one once. I, at the time thought I would never go in there again. My mate said that it's a lot better now so I thought I would trust him and tried it out for myself. I was very impressed as it feels so much nicer and cleaner and I felt very welcomed by the lovely staff. The food was really nice and was cooked well. Overall it was a very pleasant experience. I will certainly go there again as it is so much nicer than it was.

Drinks, fab value. We had a curry and, having not had one there for a while, did wonder if still be good. It didn't disappoint. Like a Wetherspoons or not, I have no complaints at all

The Edmund Tilney is just another Jdw pub it was busy when I visited end of breakfast service time and beginning of lunch it's an average size pub with outdoor seating area but hasn't any cover if it starts to get wet

Well well well, what a pleasant surprise! I haven’t been here in a fair while as previously the pub was lacking on all fronts! But, it appears there is new management and this is very noticeable. The place had a great atmosphere along with friendly staff who couldn’t do enough. Food was great, had the mixed grill and all the meats were tender and very delicious! Alcohol was good, clearly they peg their ales unlike the independents ( I know I’m a bit of geek ) but in all seriousness this place has really changed for the good and was great and exactly what you’re looking for when going to a spoons :) thumbs up from me and the family. The kids also loved their food!

I went to witherspoon in Leatherhead for a drink after a very long hot day, and had the misfortune to be served by an aggressive unfriendly member of staff, after making enquiries I was told this was the new manager, talking to other local people I was told this was typical of her attitude, be assured I'm not looking for a free hand out I just expect to be treated like a customer, it also has to be said all other members of staff are lovely a credit to you

Really glad I did as I wasn’t disappointed, food was good, staff were lovely, the place was nice and clean and the vibes were good. Believe there’s a new manager so they’re obviously doing something right. 👍

I work away from home during the week and spend most of my time in travelodges and Wetherspoons Leatherhead has both a stones throw from each other. This particular spoons is probably the worst I’ve been to, To get in the pub you have to run the gauntlet of a throng alcoholic smokers standing in front of the doors, upon entering it takes a moment for you eyes to adjust to the dimly lit bar, tables strewn across the floor area in no particular order or plan making it difficult to approach the bar to order. The staff are pleasant enough and attentive but it’s the clientele that are the issue, drunk belligerent rude. They treat the place as if it belongs to them and they have the Devine right to be loud and obnoxious. Problem is in Leatherhead there ain’t no choice, 3 other pubs in town centre one charging £5.50 for a pint of youngs best. So as much as I moan about the place I’ll probably pop in for a pint after work as normal.

Lovely visit, can definitely tell the new management is making this pub a nice family friendly place. Had a lovely lunch here with my kids.

Normally a good selection of real ales that are kept in good condition. The same can be said for most ' spoons. Managed well with friendly staff. Recommended

Was looking forward to this.The place was full of under age drinkers and children running around.Ordered fish n chips no ordered large gammon no.Ordered traditional steak pie meal yes! It arrived well the plate did the pie was I think a childs portion 13 ememic peas and the mash potatoes well couldn't describe that I complained but got no there won't be going there again.

Lovely old pub with beautiful metal work above the bar behind some rather cool lighting. The usual seating options available with outdoor seating out the front. Old photos everywhere and even a tapestry upstairs. The pub was clean and tidy and the staff efficient and friendly. The Guinness was excellent as was the Doom Bar

The breakfast certainly hits the spot every time and over time your waist will grow a little. The great thing about this lovely breaky is you get free refill hot drinks, so you can continue your conversations after your meal. The staff are all welcoming and friendly, they come around and check if the meals are alright and they immediately change and replace your meal if it isn’t the one you ordered. All the customers seem to really feel comfortable and at home at this place.

On the main street of Leatherhead is this pub where you can eat very well, the place is beautiful and very pleasant. We ordered two sandwiches and they took a while to bring them, although it wasn't great, we ate them very comfortably although the drink service was very fast and efficient. I have visited this place many times and have always returned. Recommended.

Ordered 4 meals. Made the mistake of not ticking “chips” with kids meals. Went to the bar to explain my error but had to pay £3.75 for a portion of chips. OK, I made a mistake in their app but would it really be that hard to just provide a portion of chips? The “gourmet” steak was also well overdone and full of fat. 15 minute wait for drinks to arrive. Seems to be a cynical change in the app that defaults the choice of potato to NONE. If you don’t pick something, you get nothing.

Very tired looking decor and the food can be a bit of hit and miss. However, it is a"'Spoons" pub and the prices are some of the lowest you can get. Where else can you get unlimited Lavazza coffee refills for 99p (recently gone up to (£1.20)

Had a curry today and had send back as cold , bought out same dinner , The nan bread was still cold as I had taken a bite so knew it was same dinner. 5,mins later and still cold as in hurry I ate it about half of it.. No one came to ask if dinner was ok and my plate was taken while I was on the toilet ..... Most awful curry I have had . As they had taken my plate I could not make complaint

I didn't realise that ED was a franchise of Wetherspoon. If you are familiar with the latter, then you'll notice that the menu is almost the same. I ordered the combi food and drink, costing less because of the location. I sipped at my beer and had hardly settled at the table, when the food arrived. No pretence, but simple, hot and satisfying, hence the number of people there. As a bonus the staff were helpful, smiling and didn't look bored. Ignore the decor, the usual din of a busy place and savour the moment. Disfruta.
