I had always wanted to stay in a castle and since Amberley still had walls going back around 900 years I thought this would be great start. My friend stayed in the main area inside the tudor period and I stayed in a room adjacent to front entrance. We both thought it was amazing and really enjoyed our stay, from Amberley we could drive to tourist areas close by. The walks around the castle were enjoyable, the food was top notch and we strongly recommend Amerley Castle to anyone.

This is a lovely restaurant, I assume by a family. The food was wonderful and the staff very polite. Pricing of the food was spot on and reflected well with the proportions and quality of the food presented. This is a restaurant that relies on positive feedback for customers like me. And because of what I experienced it’s has to be positive. Next time I am running the Brighton marathon and stay in Steyning I will definitely go back to this lovely little restaurant.

Now that brand new outdoor facilities open, perfect bathroom. The place is more comfortable, tasty foods and ample parking spaces anytime. Highly recommended. I hope my fellow drivers use it like home.

This was our first visit to the Old Forge but will not be the last. We went for Valentines Day and it is the first time that we have been to a Valentine's meal were there was no increase in price for the special menu. The area we were in had only 4 tables and all those present thought their food was fantastic. There is a relatively small number of choices for each course but the quality is 5 star. The venison and mushroom bon bon starter was one of the best starters I have had anywhere. Only surpassed by the rice pudding with rhubarb and ginger compote and rose petal granola. If the other courses had not also been great I would have ordered two of the dessert. The staff were all fantastic and very helpful. I cannot recommend this enough. Patrick's menu is novel, exciting and beautifully cooked

Just had a fantastic Sunday roast. I had the beef and other members of the party had the pork. The portion sizes were generous. The meats were cooked to perfection. The crackling was crunchy and full of flavour. The beef was tender and delicious. The Yorkshire pudding£ing was light a fluffy and there was a good selection o& vegetables. One of the best roast dinners I’ve ever had.

Lovely coffee and mushroom soup followed by a delightful flapjack. Great little cafe with small shop. Very pleasant staff and excellent decor. Highly recommend for light bite and nice scenery.

I wasn't going to post a review as I thought I'd contact the establishment directly with my complaint and give them a chance to respond. They chose to ignore me, leaving me with no choice. I visited The Fold for the first time recently with a friend. We arrived to an almost empty coffee shop, with one customer (a van driver seemingly popping in for a coffee) waiting for a drink. We approached the counter and the man stood at the coffee machine looked at us, we smiled, but he didn't acknowledge us in any way........not a smile, not a nod, not a "hello", not a "Won't keep you a minute!"......nothing. We stood waiting and my friend commented that there was no board anywhere advertising what drinks (and prices) they offered. The other customer left and the far from convivial barista asked what we wanted. We commented again that we're not sure what drinks are on offer as we cannot see a menu, but he just looked straight at us and offered nothing. So my friend said she'd like a latte and I asked if they made hot chocolate........and what type, etc. Again, got very little from the barista, who proceeded to make the drinks. The drinks were fine, no complaints from us, but the whole atmosphere was awkward. We sat down to enjoy our drinks and found that we couldn't hear ourselves talk as the operatic/theatre style music was so loud that it drowned out anything we said to each other. My friend said she'd normally ask if the music could be turned down a bit but the barista had made us feel so unwelcome that we didn't think we'd get much of a response if we asked. Thankfully a little while later he walked up some stairs and the music seemed to travel with him, as if he was carrying a speaker upstairs. We left feeling quite bemused. A very strange visit and when you rely on local trade for your small business, I'm surprised that this is how you behave to be honest. I contacted their Instagram page and Emily replied saying she had forwarded it onto the owner Rob to respond and she'd come back to me. A week later, I still heard nothing back, so I can only assume Rob is the person we interacted with. Either that, or he simply doesn't care about his customer base or reputation.

Amazing food, look forward to it every Saturday. The sloppy Joe fries are a must try, and klobasa burrito.
