The best restaurants in Horsham South East

Frequent visitor to this lovely cafe. Have had super service every time. Excellent choice of food.

We had a wonderful stay last weekend; we arrived to be greeted with a warm welcome from the reception staff, our room was beautiful and had everything we needed. Dinner was delicious, a 5-course tasting menu and you can choose from a choice of 3 items for each course. The wine list is extensive and it's all on a tablet where you can select and compare a shortlist before choosing. Breakfast was equally fabulous, a huge choice made to order, and the cooked breakfast was lovely and hot (not always the case). The birds at the castle are a little noisy at sunset/sunrise - if you are sensitive to noise or want to sleep late, bring your earplugs. We weren't bothered by it though. Another review mentioned that the rooms are not sound proofed: it's a 12th century castle, and you can hear things like you would in any hotel. It wasn't a problem at all for us. The beds were comfortable and we slept very well. Amberley village is lovely for a short walk - they have the Black Horse pub which is fantastic for a drink before dinner, and the food is great there if you're not eating in the hotel. Arundel Castle and town is nearby and also worth a visit even when the castle is closed. Several independent shops and cafes, and you can walk along the River Arun too. We will definitely return to the hotel!

Fish and chips was amazing and great service. Crispy batter and fish tasted very fresh.

Large table booking for a 40th birthday. Adele and the team thoroughly looked after us, the food was excellent across all 3 courses and the pub itself is charming. Recommended!

One of the best pub Sunday roasts I've ever had - everything was perfectly cooked, and the selection of vegetables was outstanding, beautifully seasoned. Our whole table was very happy and we are looking forward to returning soon.

This is one of the best run restaurants in West Sussex with terrific food and atmosphere. They have got the lighting just right, something many restaurants get wrong. Good service despite it being a very busy evening. Excellent front of house, attentive and genuinely interested in giving customers a good evening. Highly recommended.

Tradition café, loved by the kids and they don't like anything.

This was our first visit to the Old Forge but will not be the last. We went for Valentines Day and it is the first time that we have been to a Valentine's meal were there was no increase in price for the special menu. The area we were in had only 4 tables and all those present thought their food was fantastic. There is a relatively small number of choices for each course but the quality is 5 star. The venison and mushroom bon bon starter was one of the best starters I have had anywhere. Only surpassed by the rice pudding with rhubarb and ginger compote and rose petal granola. If the other courses had not also been great I would have ordered two of the dessert. The staff were all fantastic and very helpful. I cannot recommend this enough. Patrick's menu is novel, exciting and beautifully cooked

Tuk tuk Horsham is absolutely brilliant! The choice of dishes on the menu is great and the service is even better! I highly recommend this place!

A great venue and popular stop over for a walker or cyclist. A friendly welcome and a varied and fairly priced menu to suit any needs.

Lovely little tea /coffee shop serving nice sandwiches

Wonderful location, best cakes ever and good coffee. Probably being hungry made me bias. It was an oasis.
