Mamma Mia Restaurant in Horsham

A delightful, authentic restaurant, serving delicious, fresh pasta. We carb loaded here the night before Brighton marathon, and had a fab takeaway pizza afterwards. Loved the totelloni and the prawn spaghetti. Friendly service. Lovely puddings too.

This is a lovely restaurant, I assume by a family. The food was wonderful and the staff very polite. Pricing of the food was spot on and reflected well with the proportions and quality of the food presented. This is a restaurant that relies on positive feedback for customers like me. And because of what I experienced it’s has to be positive. Next time I am running the Brighton marathon and stay in Steyning I will definitely go back to this lovely little restaurant.

Lovely local restaurant larger than it appears from the road. Fantastic food with a large range of food. Wonderful service from Duilio who was friendly and jovial and very welcoming. Would definitely recommend for families couples and groups of friends. Next time we are in the area we will certainly return.

We all enjoyed our meals. I had parmigiana which was really tasty, others had pizza, spaghetti bologna and carbonate. All arrived piping hot. Great food.

What is more satisfying than a warm plate of pasta on a cold January day. Perfect location, right on the high street with cute decor. I do have high standards for Italian restaurants but this was authentic and brilliant. The penne with luganega & tomato sauce, scamorza cheese, broccoli & chilli was absolutely delicious. Service was great and prices about average. I was very impressed and highly recommend.

Mamma Mia has become our regular haunt; I think we should buy shares. Fantastic location in Steyning, awesome staff and food to die for. My eternal favourite is the pizza piccante; hot and spicy (but not too spicy) and lovely as a shared starter. To round it off, tiramisu of course. Rich, smooth and creamy and, best of all, not too big to leave you feeling too full. Mamma Mia, eccellente!

Once again a lovely meal. Mamma Mia. After spending an evening catering for 30 it was only fair that I was taken out for lunch today and as always mamma Mia didn’t disappoint. I had my favourite parmigiana (a dish I adore but never make for myself) and my hubby had pasta. I confess it was our second time in there this week but, hey, when you’re on to a good thing - Why not? During the week we tested the new Christmas dishes which were beautiful- particularly the pork belly. We rounded off our meal today sharing a cheeky tiramisu. Full to the brim we left with a smile and completely ready for a Sunday snooze! Thank you Mamma Mia we can always count on you ❤️

Traditional & uncomplicated inside, one of the waiters was cheerful and made us feel welcome. Service was very quick so obviously not cooked to order and it tasted like that way. Did get busy before we left. Seemed to be run by an Italian family, pasta dish just average, lasagne nice but small, we would have liked a side such as veg - we didn’t see it on the menu & it wasn’t suggested to us. £8 for an average Tiramisu not much bigger than a finger and £3.95 for two thin slices of garlic bread for was quite cheeky. May go back if we need to eat in the area.

I run a Fitness Business here in Steyning (Annie's Fitness) and last night we held our annual Xmas party at Mama Mia's. There were 35 of us and what a fabulous night we had. We took over the ground floor with 3 large tables. Duilio and his team made us feel incredibly welcome and nothing was too much trouble. We chose dishes from both the A La Carte and Festive menu. I had the Carpaccio Di Manzo for starter followed by the Risotto Zucchine & Gamberi. Both dishes were freshly cooked and totally delicious!! Thank you Mama Mia's for making our Xmas party so special. We were a chance walk-in for a very late lunch. I had a pizza and tomato mozzarella salad. All perfect. Smallish restaurant, with a personal service. Well recommended.

We arrived late for Sunday lunch when the owner was clearing away- presumably hoping to have a mid afternoon rest! Nevertheless we were greeted very warmly and sat down to a delicious authentic meal of spaghetti and a lasagne dish. Both dishes were nicely flavoured and very moreish. We saw another couple having a pizza- looked appetising too! We left very satisfied and pleased we had visited this welcoming establishment.

Lovely place. Authentic italian food. Service was great. Try the Grappa after dinner. We did and met two sisters of Steyning and had really enjoyable conversation. We will return next year.

Came here as a party of 3. Lovely small cosy place,love the style. We shared some Starters and then a pizza and pasta, including options of the special board. Everything was DELICIOUS. The Mussels we had were the best, juiciest Mussels ive ever had! The special pasta was also out of this world. You could tell everything was homemade with high quality ingredients. Good drinks selection too. Everything was very reasonable priced. One of the best parts of the night was the owner/manager. He had a great energy about him and we had a lovely chat at the end of the night. It was the perfect end to a great evening and we can't wait to come back!

We have visited this wonderful restaurant on several occasions and it has become one of our favourite places for a meal. The food is always perfectly presented and cooked and Dui and Giuseppe are wonderful hosts. My Wife and I live near Brighton and this time we visited with our friend Nigel who lives locally: it is a superb eatery.

The owner (and today's waiter) was welcoming and kind. Our small dog, Alfie, was permitted to sit under the table as circumstances did not prevent this and Alfie is very well behaved. Our menu choices were delicious and we can whole-heartedly recommend both the restaurant and the service that we received. We will definitely go again at some point in the future when we are next in Steyning. Thank you so much!

We regularly frequent this lovely restaurant. I have been twice this past month both with my little boy and a friend and every time I go the service is wonderful, the guys are so friendly and the food is delicious. Authentic Italian food in Steyning, you can’t go wrong by visiting here!

We discovered this lovable restauraunt while walking the South Downs way. We enjoyed the food and the atmosphere so much that we have since been back several times despite it taking us over an hour to get there from Southampton! We see it as an adventure for special occasions. Tonight we took our sister and her husband for the first time and we were not disappointed. We enjoyed starters of white bait, baked mozarella and garlic bread. For our mains we stuck with the classics; carbonara, lasagna and mushroom risotto. And for dessert we all enjoyed the chocolate soufflé on the specials board! My husband enjoyed the draft beer on tap while our brother enjoyed a merlot with his meal. Everyone enjoyed a limonchello after except me as I am a tee total and designated driver! We love the owner who is a friendly chap from Rome, he always makes us feel welcome and takes good care of us. We drove home full of good comfort food and in high spirits! A beautiful night out!

We ate here on a very stormy Wednesday night. Luckily we had booked. After we had arrived the restaurant was soon filled and within 30 minutes was full. The pasta was excellent, pizza was good. Service again very good. Would use again if ever passing this way.

Very good service on the phone and in person.I ordered a takeaway and wanted the seafood risotto even though it wasn’t on the takeaway menu,this wasn’t a problem for them at all.My food was nicely presented,packaged well and was very tasty.I also order a desert which was banoffee pie,unfortunately this was not for me.However I would definitely return here again as my main meal was very nice

Went for lunch with my family to this lovely restaurant and loved everything.We tried the calamari and mussels for starters, really tasty and well presented.For main we had pizza and spaghetti carbonara, my carbonara was soooo good. The service from Yousef and the chef( wich came out the kitchen to see if everything was good) was very friendly and attentive and made us feel welcome.The tables are well spread and we had access to alcohol gel to guarantee our safety , which is very important on the time being.Highly recommended!

We saw this place by chance when we were looking for some takeaway on a visit to Steyning. We rang up to order a couple of pizzas and were persuaded to get a side order of fried courgette too. The pizza was *really* good and the fried courgette was amazing. The staff were very friendly and did everything possible to make our meal nice even though trade was affected by the pandemic, as it is for all restaurants at the moment.

We visited on a Saturday evening, there was a good atmosphere, busy enough but not too loud. Service was just right, attentive but relaxed. The food was all lovely, we all enjoyed our meals. If the owners read this the only thing I’d like is to see cannelloni on the menu please, that would definitely make me a regular visitor!

Lovely independent Italian restaurant. The host is very welcoming and friendly without being overpowering. The tables are well placed and not too close to one another. There was a great choice of anti-pasti, pasta and main dishes. We all found the food delicious with the only complaint being that the tagliatelle alla filette had very little steak in it (this is the only reason I’m going with four stars instead of five). We’ll definitely be back.

The food was tasty, albeit mine was extremely salty. My 5 year old grandson was disappointed that they didn't do pizza, but all in all we had an enjoyable meal.The lunch menu that they do during the week looked good value.Apparently if there is a group 5 or over, they add a 10% gratuity to the bill. Not something I like or agree with. I always tip but I like it to be my choice and as it was my treat, I didn't want to spoil the occasion by quibbling!

I visited this charming restaurant to meet up with some very dear friends. From the moment we entered the staff were so lovely and attentative. Then menu choice was amazing and the food even better, all cooked fresh, and they are open to ideas for improvement, not that any were needed for us. There was 6 of us in our party and we all had different starters and mains, the presentation of the food was lovely and the food delicious, in fact I would go as far as saying it was the best Carbonara ive every had!!The restaurant inside was beautifully decorated, clean and very tidy. The waiter or maybe manager that served us all night was not only charming, very polite and clearly passionate about the restaurant. I would definitely return and recommend this Restaurant.

So me and hubby had a free Monday togeather wanted a nice lunch time meal and to make the most of our meerkat deal we did a quick Google and decided the nice drive would do us good, the owner was extremely welcoming and made us extremely comfortable , the restaurant has a perfect vibe and right amount of decor, we had a fabulous fresh made lunch meal and good quality wine, i highly recommended this place for the attention to quality and fresh products a must visit weather ur a couple, a group of friends or a family with children

My first time at this restaurant but won't be my last! The service was wonderful you really feel like the staff want you to be there and they are very friendly. The food is fresh and all tastes great, I had the mozzarella in breadcrumbs and then the 4 cheese pasta both were amazing. The best part of the meal was the pudding, chocolate profiteroles wow! We had taken our American friends to Mamma Mia to celebrate my partner's birthday a year ago and they loved the food and the whole experience. So as another birthday was looming they had the delightful idea of getting vouchers as a present so we could have another birthday meal, albeit sadly without their attendance this time. We were able to report back to them afterwards that their present was just perfect and the meal and drinks slipped down a treat. Their gift voucher idea was much appreciated and thanks to the team at Mamma Mia as well for making our evening very special.

I took my family for lunch at Mamma Mia and we had a lovely traditional Italian meal. We are half Italian and it felt like the cooking we have enjoyed from our Nonna! Lovely attentive staff too made the whole experience a delight.

This was the second meal here and it was fabulous. Frankly hard to see how it could be bettered. Service was great, food was superlative, what else can I say?

From the warm welcome as you cross the threshold to the good food and attentive service you know you are experiencing authentic Italian hospitality. We both opted for the Insalata Tricolore which was a generous starter, I then chose the Tagliatelle alle Vongole which was fresh pasta, plenty of clams and a gentle kick of chilli. My wife had pasta with gamberetti, zucchini and pommodori which was a treat with a massive prawn in the middle. Mamma Mia boasts a wide selection of gluten free dishes which scores highly with my wife who cannot cope with gluten. To say that the pannacotta was the best I've ever eaten is no exaggeration. Full of flavour with a firm texture it was a real winner. No surprise it's an Italian restaurant run by Italians. The fact that we chose pasta was we didn't want a great deal but there is meat, fish and salads on the menu. Next time, and there definitely will be a next time, we will give some of the other options a go. If I have a slight moan it is that there are only five wines by the glass which is a shame. Love to see a Sicilian Red perhaps, especially as with a Vacuvin the wine can be kept for several days. On the plus side they get their ingredients fresh daily so, as Sainsbury's say, You Can Taste The Difference!
