Carmela Deli in Horsham

Had two toasted panini meatballs was tasty but cheese and ham was very dry and bland- coffee for an Italian 🇮🇹 deli was not great.

A first class café & deli in a great location - capped with the £6 'bacon ciabatta & any coffee' breakfast deal. Top quality produce and great service. And dog friendly. Fully recomended.

My favourite place for a coffee the cakes are very fresh and delicious especially the Cannoli. A friendly atmosphere.

It was amazing delicious dessert I had The atmosphere is very nice, warm and friendly. The lady manager is very angry and harsh, she never smiles. Despite that woman, we went and ate there. I recommend it to everyone

Absolutely my favourite cafe in Horsham. The coffee, paninis, cakes and pastries are absolutely to die for, and every time I see the pistachio croissants in the window I have to stop in and grab one. The atmosphere is super cozy and authentically Italian. Can’t recommend it enough.

Really poor coffee, tasted like it was filter. My flat white was more like a very weak latte, the cappuccino was all milk and no froth. Really disappointed

A little piece of Italian in West Sussex. Lovely atmosphere, friendly owners, great food and beautifully decorated. There is lots of Italian food to buy in the and the Olive oil bottles are just so cute. Would thoroughly recommend and will be returning

I had two delicious oat lattes and smoked salmon and cream cheese bagel. Rosella and Marek are always so welcoming and despite being busy, make time for a nice little chat. Lovely selection of items to buy as gifts on display with tables inside and out. One of my favourite places to eat good food in Horsham.

Love this place for brunch. The syrupy hot chocolate is unreal, I think they only offer it in Winter, and they're always so friendly and welcoming

My one and only pregnancy craving is the pistachio croissant - it is heavenly!! One of those things I am always terrified will be sold out by the time we get to town!

Excellent staff, beautiful space and everything delicious. A place to go every time I can! One of my favourite food is the Arancine.

Went in today with my family and could not believe how rude the lady serving was! I have never experienced such poor customer service ever!! When asked if we wanted to eat in or out, we looked around and decided to take away as there was no seating available at that time, the server said to us to “hurry up, the question wasn’t that hard” !! (There was no one else in the queue, so we were not holding anyone up. This was one of 3 rude comments made.

Good atmosphere, but stale pastries, definitely made the prior day. The coffee was really weak, not proper Italian coffee, and the canoli were the mass market variety from a pack, with their own fillings - definitely not the proper ricotta cheese canoli. Maybe I went on an off day, but had an overall pretty disappointing visit.

The best Italian hot chocolate in Sussex beautifully presented with a shot of whipped cream on the side and a flake on top of the cream Eat it with a spoon …..what more could One ask for ? 😍 heavenly

The food at Carmella Deli is exceptional! Very tasty and well prepared. You can choose among many panini & focaccia options. (I can highly recommend the chicken & pesto focaccia…..absolutely delicious). The cake’s & pastries are some of the best I have eaten & rival those you get at high end restaurants. I love the service at Carmella Deli. Rosa & Marek are so friendly with the guests and always take care to offer the best quality & awesome service! I cannot recommend this Italian Deli highly enough. Food is brilliant. We regularly get paninis from here as well as cannoli etc. The staff are lovely and the ambience is great. Hot drinks are also great.

I went to Carmela deli, but they have a private event with traditional Italian food for some people. It amazing to see the Rossella and Marek provide this service if you requested. I tooked a sneaky photo and 100% will be using this for my hubby's bday.

Wow As always - and yes I’ve been here before many times. This time I ‘only’ wanted a Panettone - a specific one - zabaione… my fave Italian flavour. Yes they had one out the back - which they promptly searched and found. Wonderful service as always. Incredible products. The question now is ‘can we keep it till Christmas’!!! HA HA

This is my 3rd Time coming to this cafe, but my partners first time. When ever I am in Horsham visiting family, I get excited to visit this little one of a kind cafe. Everything is delicious, the coffee, the sandwiches on beautifully toasted focaccia bread and especially the cakes and pastries. Everything is reasonably priced too, my latte only being £3 and it had a much nicer flavour than your standard coffee places. The atmosphere here is buzzy, and the perfect place for some people watching. My partner and I shared a cake and we went for a pistachio croissant AND WOW! My partner doesn’t even have a sweet and he was in love! We wanted to take some home but they had all sold out by the time we left. Carmela told us the cream is sent from Sicily and they are a special cake as they can’t make them all the time, you could really tell! It’s like nothing we have every tastes. We took some almond croissants and pistachio cannoli’s to go which we have just had for breakfast! They were truly delicious! I can’t wait to visit again!

Popped in the Carmela Deli on Saturday afternoon for a quick lunch with the family, the food was amazing and we were not disappointed as always. The place is for all ages. Will definitely recommend this place to anyone out and about in Horsham town centre looking for something to eat.

First time in Horsham just going for a casual walk and heard of how great this place is. Safe to say it did not disappoint. Bought stuff to takeaway - ham and cheese croissant, spicy pork arancini, focaccia and a lemon meringue tart. Everything was delicious and I would happily go back to Horsham just to visit this deli. People of Horsham, you are so lucky to have this local delightful establishment - I am jealous. The staff was also so friendly.

Visited here today, would have given more stars but I'm quite heavily pregnant and had to leave before finishing my drink to find a toilet elsewhere as there is not one inside. Also the paninis were toasted but the fillings were still cold. Cute little establishment and wouldn't normally leave a 'ok' review on a small business but I would have assumed a toilet would have been accessible.

Love this place, one of our favourite places in town. We recently brought my girlfriend's dad in while he was visiting (he is Sicilian) and he absolutely loved it and said how authentic the place and the food is. The spinach arancini was absolutely amazing. I've never had rice better cooked, it was still al dente, but the whole dish was rich, flavoursome and creamy. The fresh basil on top added another layer of exquisite flavour. Delicious. The quiche was something different from what I'm used to, rich in tomato and very tender. I was so satisfied that I took some arancini home! The pastries looked amazing too
