Ask Italian in Horsham

We met my wife's cousin and family for high tea/Diner at the Ask in Horsham. I would suggest that a pizza restaurant is in the very casual places to eat given that most consume pasta or posh cheese on toast which are not what you would call high end catering. We had a nice sized table to accommodate the 6 of us. It was good to see that the younger members can still have crayons and colouring sheets to amuse them before and between the arrival of the food. I remember my pasta being nicely cooked with all the pasta submerged in the sauce, there being nothing worse than hard, dried and slightly charred pasta as part of the eating experience, but this was just right. The younger members chose a starter pizza and ice-cream sundae which was just a step too far for one pair of pelican eyes. The staff were attentive considering the busy status of the restaurant and that it was busier than usual for a saturday evening as Horsham had it's fireworks the same evening we ate out. ASK is one of those idea family eating out venues judging by the numbers of families and small parties that were crowding the restaurant. We enjoyed the casual and relaxed atmosphere and the staff did their bit to smooth and speed things along which is important when younger diners are present.

Came here with family for a birthday meal, the staff are incredible so friendly and accommodating made a fuss of my mum the food was the best we have had will definitely be coming again

Fantastic dining experience. Clearly the restaurant was very busy and yet the service provided by the charming waitresses was exceptional. Incredibly efficient way of working and I noticed how quickly the table next to us was cleared and cleaned when the previous diners left. The food was delicious and the tiramisu just melted in the mouth. I look forward to returning.

Great experience when dinning at ask Italian in Horsham. The staff were all so polite. I ordered a lasagne which was amazing was served in good time and nice and hot. Lovely clean restaurant! Toilets very clean too. Would definitely recommend.

Wonderful lunch with the family today. I had the burrata, tomatoes and olive tapenade pizza which was lovely and my wife had the mascarpone mushroom pasta which was also really nice (though a little too much parsley). Service was excellent, timely and super friendly. The lemon biscoff cheesecake desert was absolutely brilliant. Loved cracking into the white chocolate lemon that sits on top with a macchiato to complete this delightful lunch.

Staff always so friendly and helpful. Never had a bad meal here, even on a busy half term!

We had a lovely late lunch , food was delicious and always arrives pipping hot. The stuff are friendly and professional, it is always my go to place when friends turn up unexpectedly or when we want to treat ourselves .

Oksana makes the experience so much more authentic. She really knows her stuff! Wine suggestion perfect. Food accompaniment was spot on. They are so lucky to have her. Felt like I was in Italy. Perfect. Thank you.

We have previously eaten at several Ask Restaurants, including the one in Horsham. The food has always been acceptable and on occasions good. Today I chose a "new" beef dish, essentially slow cooked beef in a sauce with pasta. I only found two pieces of beef and both were long and stringy with no flavour. The sauce was uninspiring. It was the most disappointing meal that I have had for a considerable time.

We have had a very nice dinner out as a family. The pizzas were very good and the bases were especially good. Thanks for a pleasant evening.

We are always welcomed so warmly here and usually join with our family to eat here to celebrate our birthdays. The staff do us proud with celebration candles and sung happy birthday for, this time, our 9 year old grand-daughter. All 9 of us enjoyed our food which included some delicious sides thanks to some vouchers. Well done Horsham Ask🙂

All very nice. Lovely food. Service was a little slow but they were quite busy. Special offer of two main courses for price of one coming to an end so to be expected.

I'm not rating this 5 star just because of the food, although the food was lovely I have no complaints. But as a family who do enjoy eating out, it's very rare we both leave a restaurant and mention how fantastic the staff were. The best waiter/waitress we've had in a long long time, they were just so fun and patient with the kids, it literally made the meal. I didn't get their names but I hope you can pass this on to them by our booking :) thank you

Service is good. Food is ok. Pasta is a bit over cooked but taste good. Cosy lovely place but quite busy.

The tables seem very close together, especially the one for two people. The spaghetti bolognaise was rather bland and looked quite grey, making it unappealing to look at. Service okay as was the pizza.

Fantastic! Great food, fantastic service that was friendly, approachable and our waitress' interaction with my 5 year old grandaughter was very heart warming. The food portions were generous, ingredients fresh and served on easy to use boards with each diner with pizza or folded garlic bread issued their own pizza cutter. The delivery of food was timed to perfection and at just the right temperature. The menu had numerous and varied options to suit a variety of tastes. I look forward to going back.

We went to ASK for a Friday night family treat after not visiting for a while. We were 2 adults and 3 kids who all had the kids menu and booked at 5:45pm. After ordering drinks and kids meals, the kids starters came with drinks and we ordered our main meals to go with the kids main food. The kids were only 1/4 way through starters and their main arrived so had to move plates all around and was all a bit odd. We ordered 2 stone baked pizzas which were half the width of the plate it was on. (Not that I am greedy but thought looked very small!). There was 1 and a half pieces of salami on the pizza and a few pieces of pepperoni. There was more pepperoni on the kids pizza. It was really disappointing as couldn’t taste anything other than the bland tomato sauce topping. No we did not say anything as the waitress was super nice and she isn’t in charge of the chef being very miserly with the toppings, she had nothing to do with it. We all came away disappointed, rushed out and wondering why we just spent all that money going out?!

It was my Daughters 13th Birthday. She had a wonderful time as did our whole party. Lovely staff and food. We brought our own cake which was brought out to us with the candles lit and the team sang too. Relaxed and warm atmosphere.

Today 6 August at 13:30 we’ve been served by a lady that alone managed everything and the other guy behind the bar looked at his phone and stayed near a window and stared into space as if nothing was going on. Clearly enough seemed that he didn’t care about hospitality. She deserves a medal and for him to be fired.

All food was great for kids and adults except the sea-bass. Which tasted Service was very helpful accommodating and very friendly, especially the hostess.

The staff member are so delightful and helpful. The environment is so nice to look around. The food is always good. We love it and they were great with baby’s too ! We will always go back

Haven't been for a while and was really impressed with the service and the food, also very good value, It was nice not to have to mess around with an app the whole time and just enjoy the experience and also have a conversation.

This is a nice restaurant. The staff are all very nice & attentive. The food was very good too. I had the calamari for starters & it was very nice. The seafood linguine was also very nice. Look forward to coming again. Also if you have a disability it does have disability facilities.

The service was good but the summer special Lobster and Crab ravioli was, unfortunately, underwhelming!

Was relatively busy when we went there but the staff were all very attentive. The food service was very fast and was very nice. Would highly recommend the chicken!

The service was good, food was not. Do not order the risotto, it’s the worst you’ll ever have. Dry chips, dry calamari… for shandy they charged us around £7.

The food was lovely. The manageress was extremely helpful and very busy. Will come again.

Amazing Italian chain, food is delicious and their kids menu is fantastically priced and my 2 boys love it. Staff are friendly and helpful and always accommodate us even without a booking!

the food was nice although the calamari was in strips which I’ve never had it like before. The service was awful apart from one lady who tried hard to rectify the issues. Our main meals didn’t arrive together but the worst part was my mum chose the coffee and mini dessert and she was brought a drink she didn’t order and a coffee she tried to explain to the waiter that she’d rather wait for the coffee so we all had the desserts at the same time but the waiter just put the coffee down and walk off without listening to her! I have visited before and had a positive experience but I will not be returning which is a shame because I used to like it!

Very slow service. Took a very long time to be seated which I understand was most likely due to lack of staff and a busy evening. However, many members of staff walked past over and over again without acknowledging us, apologising or thanking us for waiting so long. My father who I was with has a spinal injury so standing was very uncomfortable for him which was making me uneasy the longer time went on. Starters and mains came quickly, but took a long time to get desert menu and then the bill.

We were seated promptly. Our meal and drinks order was taken not long after. The food was lovely and we didn’t have to wait for anything. The tables around us were cleared and cleaned very quickly. Cannot fault the service either. Really impressed. We’ve been to a few Ask restaurants and this doesn’t always happen.

We visited today at 2 pm for a late lunch a day and were very impressed! We booked online, Horsham tends to be busy on weekends, and we didn't want to get turned away. Upon arrival, we were seated straight away. We got 2 free sides for signing up online, which was a bonus! My son (5) loved the shot of lemonade on arrival lol and the kids' menu is fab! Service was friendly and swift. Food came out quickly despite the restaurant being full! All food was piping hot, tasty, and a good portion size. Decor inside is lovely and the place was buzzing! Kids' colouring sheets were great, along with the ice cream and babychinno. Really impressed and hands down beats Pizza Expreas.

This was my very first ever visit to this place. I thoroughly enjoyed it. I had a nice hot Lasagne. I had a nice Slice of Lotus Biscoff Cheesecake for dessert. I had a nice glass of Apple Juice. The staff were very friendly and the service was very quick to serve our food

This is the third time we have been back. Had our daughters 16th birthday here. They brought out a special dessert and sang happy birthday at the end. Food was exceptional. Staff were flawless. Service and meals were served without delay.

The one server was amazing, she worked super hard to look after a table of 10 and was amazing to have around us. The server that took drink orders however didn't get it totally right and I ended up being charged for a cocktail I didn't order.. The prawn and crayfish pasta came out cold and wasn't amazing but the calzones looked great as did the ice cream desserts.

Went here in February for a surprise party. There were about 12 of us so they put us upstairs. It was really bright and when we asked about lowering the lights a bit we were told no. You’d need sunglasses on it was so bright which didn’t create a nice atmosphere or setting for the meal. The food was lovely and the wine was good too so no complaints there. The lady who looked after was efficient but could’ve been a bit friendlier, couldn’t quite make her out. There was a large service charge on the bill, I don’t like service charges as if you’re not happy with the evening you still have to pay the whole thing. All in all we’d a nice night but I don’t think I’d return to this restaurant again, certainly not upstairs anyways.

There were 2 of us. The camembert dipping cheese was in a wide dish and there wasn't enough cheese. In the photo the dish is smaller and deeper. The fish main course that I had ( sea bream? ) was overdone and a bit burnt and dried up. I was disappointed in the tiny portion of veg. However I don't mind crispy fish and didn't want to complain. Otherwise the staff were very kind . One more thing...the noise made by the chefs talking to the staff was unnecessary. One young man actually shouted at the top of his voice the whole time and the waiters joined in.

Just the two of us for a midweek meal. Fabulous service and the food was pretty great too - gluten-free options a-plenty! Came out really quickly and we could see from where our table was that it didn't sit on the pass for any time before a server came by to deliver our meals. Drinks were served quickly, and all in all a very enjoyable meal. Many thanks to Onîa, our jolly and knowledgeable waiter and all the staff that helped put togerther our fab evening out.

Great experience and highly recommend. From the outset the service was exemplary, so friendly and welcoming. The food was as usual top notch with plenty of choices. The ambience was perfect too.

Went at 5pm for daughters 4th birthday. Not many other people in there. Service was quick. Food came out quick and was tasty. Would recommend with little kids.
