Great menu, food is delicious especially the fish pie. Great selection of ales, staff are very friendly and welcoming. I would definitely recommend it.
This was a great quality and great value restaurant with superb food.
Great choice of meals across a range of courses.
Ask for a side of chopped chillis in soy sauce to give extra bang!
Recommend the Hot & Sour soup followed by the Kung Po Chicken.
Terrific.
Open.
Friendly independent family restaurant.
I'm going back!
AMAZING Fantastic food, great staff. Really good value for money. We can't say enough about them is pub . We have recently moved a stones throw from this venue and are so pleased.
We stayed nearby and only booked when we got here. We were really looked after, the service was excellent and the food amazing, so much choice and all really tasty. We left feeling stuffed but happy. Shame we live 2 hours away but to be honest it is worth the trip
Cracking Tapas Bar located on the high street in Midhurst. Comprehensive Tapas menu, complimented by friendly and attentive service. We took our dog who was made welcome.
First time here. It was very difficult to park took us 15 minutes to find parking space. We were meeting my son and daughter in law for lunch. We approached the bar to have a pre lunch drink. The lady serving was busy serving a person that she knew. When he was served she disappeared leaving us standing. 5 minutes later another lady appeared and took our order she seemed incredibly preoccupied/flustered and poured out drinks. The glass of red wine ordered was poured as a white despite the grape variety being asked for. I tried to lighten the mistake by saying gosh you really are busy today but it was met by a grimace.
On ordering lunch after having been given the Menu I was told the whole grilled plaice was no longer available so I was put on the spot to choose my second choice. The food was good but there was a lack of portion size in terms of vegetables with the Lamb Rump. You have all the right ingredients to be good but several issues got in the way.
Franco Manca Chichester offers a pleasant dining experience with tasty food and prompt, friendly service. However, the way the 'optional' 10% service charge was presented at the end felt a little uncomfortable. With the total already inclusive of the charge displayed on the card machine, agreeing felt like the only smooth option to avoid an awkward situation. Saying no at that point would have felt like pushing back, creating an unnecessary moment of unease despite the service being perfectly acceptable. Ideally, the choice to add a gratuity and the amount should be clearly and privately offered on the payment terminal, empowering the customer without any perceived pressure. This single issue, the way the service charge was presented and applied without clear customer initiation, is the primary reason for a 3/5 review, overshadowing an otherwise positive experience.
Despite this minor concern, the dining experience was enjoyable, and I would consider returning for the excellent food and pleasant atmosphere.
