Costa Coffee in Chichester

Very nice atmosphere and service. Have nice view of the Cathedral from the windows as well! A great place for a quick bite or to study/work Etc. Food was nice and the coffee was great! Recommended!

The friendliest coffee shop staff I've ever experienced, was served by the barista Jelena who was very friendly and helpful. Nice to have great service.

Ordered a iced whipped choco latte and got some weird mix with absolutely no coffee in, a blonde lady made my drink and it was definitely not worth the money. I paid £3.80 and got a cup of milk with some chocolate... though there are other lovely staff, one young girl who mentioned turning 18 having a great chat with me :)

Small man with dark and grey hair and glasses is rude and needs the sack! Tall man with glasses 10/10 customer service maybe the small know it all should take some advice from him, honestly made my blood boil the way his attuitude is and how he spoke to myself and other customers Costa should be ashamed to have an employee like that! Good riddance to the man won’t be returning!

Terrible flat white coffees. Must be cutting back on coffee in hard times. Tasted like hot milk. Had normal and oat milk flat whites. Both awful. Tried here as other Costa awful too.

Small ground floor and only a few outside tables. Toilets and additional seating upstairs. As downstairs and outside was fully occupied the barista offered to carry my tray upstairs for me (after checking that I could manage the stairs). Great customer service. Thoroughly enjoyed my visit and was thanked for going there. I'd also been greeted with a cheery good morning as I entered.

Friendly staff, efficient with clean tables. Nice view of the world outside. Enjoyed my skinny Cap with a bakewell slice. Free wi fi. Charged me up for the day. Good range of coffees and cakes. Enjoy

After travelling all over Europe this Costa Probably serves one of the best coffees we have had in the UK. Well done to the staff.

Met a friend upstairs for coffee. It was warm, spacious, clean. Staff were friendly helpful. Lots of office multiple collections going on. Noticed a mini Panettoni £2, though Waitrose only £1.50 but cappuccino was excellent.

Small dispensary downstairs, but the seating is upstairs in two rooms looking out onto the Cathedral. They will bring your order up to you though. The coffee was tasty and various cakes were available too.

I have mixed reviews about this specific Costa, I have been in there a few times and most times have had a good experience but there have been a few times where I have been in and experienced serious rudeness. Always the same specific man who is loud, is far from polite and I wouldn’t dare ask a question otherwise I’d be given a sour face and a very impolite reaction

We had a nice breakfast here. A gorgeous view of the cathedral to complement our nice little vegan bacon baps. I had a chai latte with almond milk and my sister in law absolutely loved her hot chocolate with cream. The staff were very friendly so we will return! :)

Coffee is good one star for that, not so clean place, cutlery very dirty, chatty staff behide the till could talk/gossip less and clean a bit more,empty cups staying long on the table after customer is gone

We go to Costas regularly. This one on the day was managed by a Spanish or Portugese couple who were super efficient and extremely Covid aware. It was a pleasure to drink there.

Sat in to do some work away from home. The barista (I believe she's called Mata) has great energy and conversation. Absolute delight and I hope she's recognised for it. Seems like she's running the show with talking to customer about covid regs and ensure all shared surfaces are often wiped!

We were visiting Chichester on a autumn Friday, exploring the Cathedral and other places. Looking for a light sandwich lunch we popped into Costa. Social distancing rules have had their impact limiting the number of tables and, as it seems to be very popular, all the seating available was full, so we decided to take our lunch outside to a bench across the street which, given that it received sunshine, was fine. The number of customers who had requested food that needed to be finished off in some way meant that service was slow as staff were busy preparing the orders for people who had come in earlier. It also reflects the relatively lack of coffeeshops such as Costa in the busy main street of Chichester, with one of its competitors being shuttered up. Friendly staff and a pleasant environment.

Ordered an Uber Eats delivery this morning consisting of a latte for the misses, a blueberry muffin to share, and very reluctantly, a caramel latte for myself. I say reluctantly because what i really wanted was a gingerbread latte but its not an option via the Uber Eats app. When you need a gingerbread latte, you need a gingerbread latte, so i phoned up Costa to cancel the order as i was going to hop in my car and make my way down to costa drive through to live my dreams. Thankfully my boy at Costa (Dolphin & Anchor) hooked a brother up and changed my order before Uber picked it up. In summary, coffee and muffin on point, what a start to the day! Thanks!

The guy behind the counter (David) was pleasant, helpful and a credit to Costa. Seb, however, was blunt, rude and apparently confused by the Covid rules... despite rules stating diners don't need masks, and the track n trace in order (slow wifi making it impossible to complete the form online for heavens sake!) Seb picked out our young female diner and confronted her for not wearing a mask on the way to the toilets (which turned out to be wet and dirty so she never used them in the end) yet he never did the same to all the others we saw wandering through unmasked. We asked if we could use a chair from the next table (unused due to social distancing) to put on the end of our table but he refused to let us, then gave us a stool to use in the exact same place we wanted to put the chair. All very odd.

I popped into Costa Chichester today to get a takeaway coffee and was put through the humiliating experience of being asked to leave. My crime? I said I couldn’t use the hand sanitiser as I suffer with contact dermatitis. The barista told me that she couldn’t risk me touching something that her other customers might touch. I pointed out that I didn’t need to touch anything, but said I was happy to leave if she didn’t want my custom. The fact that I was only ordering a take away coffee and would pay with a contactless card (hence would not be touching anything) did not seem to matter. She then asked me to leave so loudly that the other four customers in the shop all turned and stared! Very rude and humiliating. I didn’t raise my voice or argue at any point, but was treated like a leper (no offence to leper’s, its an idiom) They won’t be getting my custom again.

Wonderful Costa, right opposite the Cathedral and really friendly staff that always put a smile on my face!

Always the place I go when visiting Chi.

Often visit this chain and this is a good example of the best. Coffee was up to standard and the interior clean and comfortable. Free papers and WiFi as normal. Friendly staff. Situated right in the main shopping area.

The staff were very pleasant and helpful, the coffee was spot on and the small cafe was clean and the tables cleared, normally at a Costa there are cups and plates on tables which you need to remove yourself. A really nice, friendly vibe going on here.

Lovely Costa coffee , with a fine view of the Cathedral, and 2 minutes from the busses.We were served by the Laughing Cavalier, or his double!I have allergies, and he was kindness itself, and checked the ingredients for me. Even though the cafe was fairly busy. So we returned there each evening, ! Loved the carrot and coriander soup!The last evening Wednesday, we arrived at 6.15 but unfortunately he wasn’t there, so not such a good reception, and seemed to be closing. So we made do with take away biscuits.But would certainly recommend, look for the Cavalier!

I never fail to walk out of this coffee shop smiling - the service from the wonderful lady (I'm so sorry I can't remember her name!) is always excellent and she remembers what I drink so I don't even have to order. Coffee is important but I continue going to this cafe because of her.

This, for us, is a regular coffee house to visit every time that we are in Chichester. In fact it is invariably the first port of call when we visit Chichester. There is nothing better that to order a flat white, or a latte, semi skimmed, or soya, grab a newspaper and relax. As ever, there is no pressure for you to leave once your coffee cup has emptied.There is a good mix of people who use the coffee house, from Chichester College students, families, business people, retirees and all sorts. It is situated in West Street, opposite the cathedral, open all day and pretty well every day, from 7:30am to 7:00pm. Sometimes, it may look busier than it actually is (in terms of getting a seat) as these days quite a lot of their business is ‘coffee and eats to go’. However, there is plenty of seating upstairs.The staff are welcoming and do a good job of keeping the tables cleared regularly and in a similar manner keep the loos clean, too (always a good indicator).The coffee is excellent and the quality is consistent and the coffee house provides a good place to meet.There is another branch of Costa Coffee in East Street that is all set on the ground floor, therefore, better suited for those with pushchairs and wheelchairs. Very likable friendly baristas, first floor has loads of seating, ideal for preparing for business discussions, clandestine meetings, romantic liaison, great view of the cathedral if you get a window seat.

Brought two hot chocolates, the staff were prompt and polite. Good customer service. This Costa cafe is nicely situated across from the cathedral. A large area upstairs. Would be ideal for a quick stop here before or after taking a tour of the cathedral.

Friendly staff, good service and a good supply of food and drink at all times. Very well positioned town centre location too, right next to the cathedral. Limited space, particularly downstairs, making the supply of eat-in facilities limited for less mobile folks, but a nice atmosphere for meeting with friends and having lunch or drink out.

I drink soya they make the excellant Latte. Not too keen on their fruit tea's.

Like all Costas I visit, the coffee and snacks are good, service good. However the toilets are disgusting. They smell, unclean floor, unkempt.

Sometimes the place is freezing. Must of the customers wearing coats. Bring your gloves!

My 2 friends and I visited this establishment on our weekly coffee sesh, to find that the cappuccino is mildly strong. We regret to imform you that it wasn't up to our standards. The end.

Quite small and was busy at times but great service and always good drinks.

We went in with 3 adults and 6 small kids. The staff were friendly, welcoming and accommodating. We got the kids hot chocolates which were only 55p! There is also a fantastic view of the cathedral.

Popped into the East Street branch for a quiet early morning latte. The service was exceptionally friendly and my latte was as equally as good.

Disappointed. Expecting to get a LARGE caramel latte over ice. Nope. Got a coffee tinted cup of milk in a tiny glass because they don't do LARGE anymore? OK... Plus how can I drink it slowly and take it away with me when it's not in a takeaway.

As regular weekly visits I can do nothing but recommend this cafe. The service is quick efficient and friendly. We are welcomed in every week and keep coming and coming. The drinks are perfectly blended and are always perfect to taste. Whether you go in for a quick takeaway coffee or come in and sit with a nice warm toastie and a hot drink. The drink selection is large and varied with plenty of cakes and pastries to go along. Cannot recommend enough.

Best place in town for a hot chocolate, no cream but marshmallows. They also do a pretty mean bacon roll.

Just like every single other Costa. It does, however, have a nice view of Chichester Cathedral and the green outside if you manage to bag an upstairs window seat.

Seems to be managed differently from other Costa Coffees I've been to. They told me they didn't have the facilities to warm a muffin... which is very strange for a cafe. They have done it no problem in the other Costas I've visited.
