Very nice bit on the prices side.. it took a quiet a bit of time getting the Order in.... A little bit of pushing on the drinks ..Bypass adults and asking the kids constantly for more drinks running the bill up

Always great food and great service

Can't fault the food which was beautifully cooked and LARGE portions. We went on a saturday night and pre-booked. Just as well as it is only a small restaurant and it was packed (about 35 covers). We waited over 40 minutes to get drinks and about another half hour for the food. Not a problem for us as we were on holiday and were chilled. We had two spare seats on our table and offered them to a lovely couple who just turned up hoping. They were local and explained that this rush of people was not normal but was probably due to the races being on. However, there appeared to be only one front of house lady who was serving, hence the delays. The other staff appeared to be doing the adjacent takeaway service and popping over to help as-and-when. Not good. A little pricey but the food was exemplary. Would recommend, but perhaps NOT on a Friday/Saturday evening.....

Traveling back from London, me and my partner stopped off at Golden Leaf for a sit down meal in their restaurant. The food was fresh, the service was 5 star. We were amazed at how clean the restaurant was. Just all round good food and experience!!

We have been coming to this Chinese frequently since we moved here a couple of years ago. It is always consistently good with delicious food and very meticulous and friendly service. And last night was no exception. A definite favourite in our book and looking forward to visiting again soon.

Delicious food with generous portions - one thing I often find when ordering tofu dishes is that you get about five pieces of tofu only. But not this place - when you're a veggie it's really important to get a decent serving of protein and Golden Leaf provided! Decor was very stylish and comfortable and the service was great. Staff were lovely. Will return.

Lovely, friendly and helpful staff. There were a couple of things we wanted that weren’t on the menu and they happily made them up for us. Hot and tasty food, finished off with a very large pot of Jasmin tea. Very clean restaurant and rest rooms. Would highly recommend. Thank you Golden Leaf!

Specifically asked for it not to contain certain ingredients but it arrived with the ingredients in the order should have had chicken balls No chicken balls. The special chow mein had 1 prawn and mostly veg the noodles were the very fine ones No sauce. It was uneatable I threw it away and wasted over £20. How anyone could say the food there is good is beyond me. Seems they could only get the rice correct. Never eating from there again.

We have had many takeaways from Golden Leaf and have eaten in on a few occasions. Food is always delicious, fresh and always hot when we pick it up. We have enjoyed eating in, it’s very warm and cosy and lovely service!

We had a wonderful dinner at The Golden Leaf on a recent Friday night. The staff were warm and welcoming and the food was truly the best we have had in a very long time. I have been thinking about the prawn chow mein ever since! The restaurant is spotlessly clean and tastefully decorated and I was extremely pleased to see that they had air conditioning on what was quite a warm evening. The food was presented beautifully and was simply delicious. Georgia, our lovely waitress was so sweet and charming and truly made the evening special for us. We have kicked ourselves that we haven't come in sooner but will certainly be back again soon. Thanks again for a 5 star evening.

This is a local restaurant for us (we live in Midhurst) and we feel very lucky to have it. The ambience is peaceful and calm and the decor is upmarket and tastefully done. The food is superb offering different dishes to the takeaway side of the restaurant including a small selection of Dim sum and Lamb with ginger and spring onions! The staff are always very attentive and polite and it is very reasonably priced. We keep going back!

Went there for my 50th and the food was amazing as always. It all tastes so fresh, with just the right amount of seasoning, perfectly cooked. I have eaten and worked in many Chinese restaurants and this is among my favourites! The service there is second to none, the staff are all very helpful, friendly and above all else polite!

Ordered a delivery. The first time I've paid so much for delivery from Golden Leaf. £8 on delivery for a max 5min drive on an order over £30!!! Only then for the bad tempered delivery driver to complain about the road conditions damaging his car (like its our fault!) and threatened that he was not going to deliver here again .... only once he realised I wasn't willing to tip this time!!!! ... 30 mins late and cold food. Golden Leaf.... your drivers really let you down! Food is OK but deffinatley not worth delivery fee and bad customer service now.

We almost didn't come here because the reviews were so mixed but thank goodness we did. This was, without exception, an outstanding meal, I've eaten Chinese food all over the world, this ranks right at the top. The restaurant is beautifully decorated, the staff are lovely, the service was more than worth the 10% charge that someone else complained about. My only negative is that we are only in Midhurst for a couple of days and live too far away for this to be a regular haunt. Golden Leaf, you've spoiled me for other Chinese restaurants!

We have been here a few times and always had such a lovely meal,but the last time we went although the food was excellent when we came to pay there was a 10 per cent service charge on the receipt which didnt appear on the menu,this made the meal very expensive,sadly we will not be going again.

Another excellent meal in the Golden Leaf. We have eaten here a few times now and the food is very good. Service is exceptionally. The time before last, we asked Felix to arrange lobster (Chinese style), with a whole seabass in ginger and spring onions Which was a special order. Golden leaf what bad name. I come from Shenzhen to England and this the item I have to eat. This taste worse than the smog in city. There be a little a boy who be racist. He mock my accent and my eye, he call me chink . His name Alfie please rid of him.

This was without doubt the best Chinese meal I have ever had in the UK! My favourite was probably the crispy shredded beef. Absolutely amazing!!!!

Four of us went there for dinner, after dinner we asked for the desert menu and they told us they were very busy and not doing any deserts. My friend ask them for coffees and again they told us not serving coffee as they were busy. Very bad service, we went there for a seat down dinner and not a take away. Never been in a restaurant that refuses to serve coffee to they customers. Avoid them.

Terrible restaurant that doesn't have a desert or even coffee. 4 of us had dinner there, after we ask for the sweet menu and they didn't had any at all, then we asked for coffees and they told us they were very busy to serve coffee, so NEVER again. Avoid them or take some coffee with you .

Having had excellent take-away meals for some time, we decided to have a family meal in the relatively new restaurant, it opening much delayed by Covid, etc.. The staff were welcoming, and the ambience comfortable. The menu is far smaller than the take-away selection, but significantly different, there being additional Dim Sum items. We had an excellent meal, freshly cooked, served sequentially without rush. The Dim Sum was outstanding. The main dishes were well seasoned, and spicy where indicated. Chopsticks were available if requested. This is a good place to enjoy quality Chinese cuisine.

Food was ok at best, atmosphere was tense with 13 crying babies, there was nothing golden about this leaf apart from this tall, skinny, ugly, lanky streak of piss who really made the evening sparkle (would rate the value of the food off the charts bad but i cant)

The food was cold and meagre, the atmosphere was horrendous I couldn’t hear a thing over the tens of screaming children. The only quality of this so called restaurant was the service. There was one scrawny fellow named Alfie I think, who made the meal bearable. I hope he is payed well as he was so helpful and polite.

Had my first takeaway from here new years eve and I will never be returning!
