Wagamama in Chichester

As ever, fantastic meal with Charlotte and the great team at Wagamamas. Even on a Saturday night we were served quickly and with a smile. The Yuzu cheesecake is amazing and my partner has become obsessed with the Edamame 😂

Good food, with lots of options. The staff were wonderful, very helpful with recommendations and advice.

Had a wonderful time here with the family, the staff were friendly and helpful, and very good with the children. The food was amazing as I have come to expect from Wagamama, its difficult not spend all my money here! The staff even warned me about ordering the firecracker chicken which made me giggle. I must of eaten it over 50 times now. There is parking very close by which had reaonable prices. I would certainly return if I find myself in Chichester again. Thank you.

Food is amazing. Staff are all friendly and attentive. Charlotte is incredibly friendly and a great waitress. Was a pleasure to interact with her.

Lots of empty tables but still made to wait 10 mins. Arrived at 9.00 and several staff clocked off. Half the dishes served but rest of party kept waiting whilst staff cleaned tables and emptied bins…to save time at closing?? Food OK but little interest or customer service. Poor experience. Lots of better options in Chichester.

Wagamama usually delivers a good service, but the quality of the service that we got for lunch today was top class. I think we were attended by a girl called Gemma who was very kind and kept us comfortable during the whole meal. Furthermore, the kitchen today delivered excellent quality, warm food, with texture and flavour. We were very pleased, so we are giving them a good review.

Took the nephew to Wagamama his first visit. AND NOT disappointed. He loved it. We eat mostly in Staines on Thames, and enjoy every visit. Chichester compared favourably, longer to wait, but worth waiting for. We know where we can meet next time we go.

Been here a couple of times, can’t fault it, staff are generally very friendly, service is fairly fast. Parking isn’t always ideal, but that’s a Chichester issue, not a Wagamama issue. If you have been to a Wagamama’s before, you probably won’t be disappointed.

Weather was cold and windy so just craved warm tasty food. What better than a Wagagmama. Luckily we visited on the week of their new summer spring menu launch and got a chance to try some new dishes! The service was amazing and being out of towners they even suggested places to visit which turned out to be some of our best memories of the trip!

Very good and tasty food also for vegans. Friendly staff and the food was prepared quickly. The portions could be a little larger.

Haven't been for a while, I had already noticed the Katsu Curry had less Chicken on my last visit, this time we noticed that the Curry sauce no longer tasted anywhere near as good. It's pretty much my go to dish here, but I think it might be the last time. Quality has really declined, but like everything else the price has only gone up. No wonder it was so quiet when we visited. It's a shame.

Amazing experience, food was great! Service was excellent, especially a young girl (can't remember her name) with brown hair who had been there for 2 years and knew the menu and children's menu off by heart just by telling her the numbers !! Very impressive!

Much tooOooooo NOISEY. Cheerful young helpful staff forgot my mother's meal order... when we asked, it appeared quickly. There are a few coat hooks, but not enough for the coats of all customers that arrived in the evening rain. More expensive than Eagamama's elsewhere

Exceptionally friendly staff, great service and delicious food. Mentioned in passing it was our wedding anniversary and totally unexpectedly we were given our desserts without charge!! What a great bunch they all are!!

The food was excellent and very delicious but when my child ordered there was a white rusty stone? I don’t want to admit it’s a tooth because I came to this restaurant lots of times but after this my child was a bit disappointed and grossed out but other then that every thing was beautiful splendid and a lovely night once again from wagamamas ❤️

We’ve been here a few times recently and the food and service is always excellent. The food is always fresh and tasty and we like to vary the dishes we order from visit to visit. Always served well by polite staff and it’s always served in a reasonable time even when they’re busy.

Nice place, nice service, quickly served, delicious food, pasta with shrimps and chicken was amazing, I was afraid it would be dry but it was moist and very tasty :) the starters were also great, of course a vegan dish is also available :)

If you're a fan of Asian food, especially authentic Asian food, this isn't the place for you. However if you're looking for a large varied menu where there's something for everyone - rice and curry dishes, noodles, ramen, plenty of sides and something for every dietary requirement, then this is a great spot. However the dishes are very hit and miss. An absolute must try are the vegan ribs, which are mouthwateringly delicious. However the mushroom yaki soba rice noodles are extremely bland and tasteless. The edamame is clearly not fresh, it's skin is dry and dark green as opposed to bright, succulent and not reheated. But the portions are good. Avoid the vegan k-dogs, they aren't worth it. The vegan katsu curry is not bad, just lacking enough sauce (a flavoursome one). Even the drinks are bland. The lack of flavour is replaced by heat in the over use of chili powder and actual temperature, as oppose to a blend of spices. There is plenty of seating (communal long tables, so sharing with strangers and little personal space), attentive staff and toilets upstairs, but not great for those in wheelchairs as everything is a bit of a pain to get too. The toilets are functional but not the best. Take hand sanitizer!

My server Molly was super helpful and welcoming. She was super attentive and made my experience lovely. The food was great and so was the atmosphere. Me and all my friends love Wagamama definitely recommend!

They had a decent selection for gluten free choices, and very tasty, I had never been before, so I didn't know if there was going to be much choice

We attended for late lunch during Easter weekend, David was our man who advised us how to order and was very professional, food (two ramens) was very good and was served fairly quickly, it was very pleasant experience.

I enjoy the meals today it was delicious but very disappointed about the quantity of the protein in my meal, one very small spoon of meat and lots of rice's and salad.

As an Asian I can say Wagamama is not traditional if you expected it is Japanese food, but they are creative and make things tasty.

Can't beat a waggamammas and the Chichester one in particular has lovely friendly staff

There was alot of people in Wagamamas and throught that we there going to not get a seat, eventually we got a table for two, The crispy chicken was very good and the rice was soo good. Overall 5/5 Would recommend.

Went for an early Saturday lunch to beat the rush and it was delicious as always.

On this occasion the chicken in the katsu dish was dry and tasted like it was cooked yesterday and refried again today. Not very impressed.

We were disappointed by the portion sizes...especially rice... ordered two bowls of rice... still not enough...

Delicious food. Free green tea is a nice bonus. Nice place, good food, friendly service, reasonable prices. Some of the tables have a cafeteria-like layout, which doesn't allow for an intimate atmosphere. Some tables are separated by dividing walls, creating a cozy and more intimate setting. It can get very loud here, and the noise level is so high that it makes conversation difficult. We've been here many times. We've tried various dishes, dined in, and ordered takeout. Everything has always been tasty.

Had shirodashi pork belly ramen last night. Found the noodles a bit stodgy/sticky and the pork and the broth too light in flavour for my palate…..but overall very good efforts at East & South East Asian dishes and very good service.

Not been to Wagamama for years, so we went for our friends birthday. How disappointed we were. I had the Squid starter, well I say Squid, it was mostly batter. We ordered two small glasses of pink Lemonade i think it was but they had run out of petals they put in it. We had the Teriyaki Beef Brisket Hotpot. Now if you think a teaspoon of beef is acceptable in your dish, then shame on you. Very expensive for what you get. Our friends all said the same about there small meal with just a token of meat. We all left hungry after spending £100 .We will never go back. Even my starter went to two or three tables before it ended up in front of me. Five minutes later they tried to give it to me again(obviously some other poor persons starter. I observed this a few time)

Wagamama's was brilliant. Food was great and service was attentive as you would expect. Good food served in a timely manner too. Happy to go back here again.

Nice food, good wine, friendly staff. All good until we felt we were being hurried to leave. Shame really. I considered a dessert but a menu was never offered to me. I work in the catering industry so I know we all want to go home as soon as we can but to be presented with the bill while I’m considering having a dessert and still enjoying my wine makes me feel like I waisted my money. I’m having a night out with my wife, when your closed of course we will leave but before then don’t make us feel like we are not welcome because you want to go home. Please don’t misunderstand your staff were polite and professional just made us feel undervalued as customers at the end. I gave you four stars because so much was right just, in my option missing a bit of customer care

I always like Wagamama. This location lives up to expectations.

We were looked after so well by Rob and Charlotte, who were both really helpful with our dietary requirements (vegan and gluten-free). They both took the time to chat and tell us about the menu, and also the local area, things to do and see, and were both just really warm, friendly, and kind people. They went above and beyond to make us happy 😊 The food was lovely too! Wished we lived closer. A really great branch of Wagamamas.

Lovely evening having dinner and I wanted to especially Thomas (with the tats incase there's more than one Thomas) he was lovely and so sweet and provided excellent service.

I enjoyed a lunch with the family. The food was fabulous & the coffee was the best I have had in a long time. The staff were helpful.

We arrived 1 hour before closing, to a very warm welcome. The staff were very friendly and energetic, and the food was excellent!

Wagamama get it right at every premises I visited Just taken 3 colleagues for lunch under £65 with drinks. Service quick, staff polite, food 1st grade No parking here but park a little further out and walk it's easy. Clean and not noisy, kids welcome A solid restaurant

Always lovely service and great food. Never had a bad meal in the Chichester branch.

We've been ordering takeaway from here several times per month for the last few years. The food is ridiculously good and the staff are so lovely and friendly, we always feel welcomed and looked after. However, we tend to celebrate on the very rare occasion that they actually get our correct. Either missing dishes, or wrong dishes are unfortunately the norm. We always call and they sort the problem quickly, but they're unable to deliver replacement dishes, meaning we have to drive all the way back to get it corrected. We now check every time we leave, but still get nasty surprises when we open the food at home. If you're going to keep getting it wrong, maybe look at your delivery policy when you make mistakes. You make a lot of money from us and we're getting tired of it now.

No men's toilets available on the building. My food came out tasting burnt, from what I can only assume is an unclean wok. Staff could have handled the situation better. Manager did not even come to talk to me.

Just a normal wagamama eatery, good as ever.

Squid tasted awful, like the smell of sewage, unwashed salad on the katsu curry, all tasted of nothing - bland, squid made me ill, horrible wouldn’t go again

We dined at wagamamas on Saturday and we were astonished at the level of friendliness and service we experienced. Harry (manager) was the nicest and most genuine person who seated us and took our order. We are big fans of this restaurant anyway but we had such a lovely meal there, it really ‘made’ our weekend. We will be back! Thankyou so much Harry!

Me and my friend Lizzy went in today and we were served by Harry and he is a absolute sweetheart he's got such good customer service skills he's very welcoming and funny and recommended the best fries prawns ever really wonderful restaurant

Was asked if I minded having calories displayed on my menu (important for those who are bothered or can't just skim over this information I suppose!). No issue when I asked could I have just the children's menu even though dining alone. (Dietary needs mean an adult portion is often too much for me and results in wasted food). My only criticism is that the noise level is so high, even of a lunch time - the canteen style layout doesn't allow for an intimate atmosphere for dining.

Incredible service! The front of house member of staff that served me for my take out order couldn’t have been more helpful.

Ordered vegatsu udon and they sent me chicken! Absolutely disgusted and seen on another 1 star review this has happened before. Be warned if you are vegan/veggie! Such a shame as Wagamamas is usually so great for vegans but this has made me lose trust massively.

The best Wagamama experience ever! The staff were so friendly and helpful- we loved the desserts that were recommended to us! Such a kind and wonderful team, thank you all so much!

Our one and only 'go to' restaurant in Chichester and the only one we really go to in the whole of England all year as we live on a very limited income. Satisfaction always guaranteed! the food is so fresh, cooked to order, absolutely overflowing with flavours, so delicious!!! I went there for my retirement celebration dinner last week and Molly our waitress made it extra special for me - made sure I got a slice of the White Chocolate & Ginger Cheesecake which is often gone by the time I order dessert and, when I couldn't eat it all as I had had very filling main course, she put what remained in a takeaway bowl with her own message on it - 'Happy Retirement, Wagas xoxo' - how sweet was that! Molly looked after us brilliantly throughout our whole meal - she was very friendly, attentive, always smiling. My partner and I always order the same dishes as we know that we will love them - Chilli Squid (so tender so it must be very fresh), Prawn Kushiyaki (yummy flavoured huge Catherine Wheels of prawn), Pad Thai with chicken & prawn, and Teriyaki Soba with steak and Udon noodles instead of Soba. It's great that you can choose between Soba, Udon and Rice noodles. Green tea is free. My glass of Pino Grigio was huge and lasted through the starter and main dishes. What more can I say? - best restaurant I've ever eaten in..... and I used to eat out a lot more plus my daughters treat me to ones in London sometimes.... and Wagamama's Chichester comes out top!!!

Over priced for what you get, the katsu curry was mainly rice. Expensive cocktail for a tiny glass full of ice! Service was so slow not their fault just clearly understaffed.

Worked at and opened new Wagamama's in London some years back. Portion size always disappoints in this particular branch as I found out many times from both their take aways and dinning in, definitely isn’t done to their spec. Raised this issue on my last visit with manager who assured me line checks have been completed and offered me an extra chicken to which I refused since he was so adamant it’s all correct, see photo… 2 smallest pieces of chicken I have ever seen at Wagamama's. Even cuts that are meant to be presentable and sliced at an angle were sloppy and tiny (especially sad noticing line was run by both sauce chef and team leader who should know better). Take aways that we occasionally order are always short of expectations and not once was it totally correct. Disappointing experience every time. If it wasn’t for the fact that my son loves his noodles I would never re visit. For real experience Visit Kingston/Wimbledon/Putney branches!

We came in with a voucher asked if they take the voucher they said yes and when we got to paying the bill they said they don’t take it mix up with the food orders and drinks not a good experience was expecting more!!

I left feeling hungry after an expensive but insubstantial meal. I can’t remember the name of the dish but it consisted mainly of hot chilli water with a few noodles and vegetable skins floating therein. Also around four tiny packets of macerated chicken gunk. The restaurant, although not busy, was excessively noisy. Staff were nice and efficient.

Seems this restaurant has had a bit of a makeover since last there, looks good. You know it's going to be noisy in there due to lack of soft furnishings, but today, Thursday evening, pretty quiet. Like you can now pay the bill at your table with your phone. Great food, as always.

Visited this week as a group of 6 plus a baby. We had some catching up to do as our fabulous friends were back in the uk from Portugal. Our waiter was a smiley young man called Tom who looked after us perfectly, patiently allowing a far to chatty group to make menu choices and returning to check all was well and offer more drinks, desert etc. Well done Tom and many thanks for looking after us, your doing a great job and this review is for you to say thank you.

Nicely presented restaurant serving good food , especially liked my pad thai noodles with great draught asahi , Waitresses were very pleasant and attentive , 5 stars for them .

Delicious food! They no longer offer a seafood ramen but I asked if I could have prawns thrown in with my veggie ramen and they had no problem with that, and for just an additional £3 as well. Really friendly staff working there ☺️

I have been to multiple Wagamama’s and definitely always have the best experience here. The staff are very friendly and the food is fantastic! Would recommend.

Myself and my children have visited this restaurant probably over 50 times over the years as I take them out for supper every Wednesday evening. Our order was taken and we requested no bean sprouts in the children’s food, when the food arrived there’s had bean sprouts in it and my food never arrived ( spicy miso mackerel ) 30 mins later the waitress Molly asked if I still had not received my food. At this point my children had finished their meals and I was no longer hungry so asked to speak with the manager (Tommy) and explained the situation to him. His response was truly staggering, he proceeded to tell me that I should have complained sooner, even though their policy is to just bring the food out at random times. I told him that I was not happy paying for food that they had got wrong, he took this off the bill but said that he was not willing to do anything else. My first ever job was a restaurant manager in an award winning restaurant so I know as a manager your first job is to hold your hands up when you get something wrong and you bend over to make the situation better as your reputation is everything. I would recommend to Wagamama that they send Tommy on a refreshment managers course before he cripples this branch or at least teach him how to look a customer in the eye when he is speaking to them! We will not be going back to Wagamama any time soon, such a shame as we have had many a good meal and memories here.

After a lucky escape at Bill's restaurant we were seated and fed quickly on a busy Saturday lunchtime. Food always faultless at Wagamama and speedy service so hungry children can get fed 🖤

Thoroughly recommend Chichester Wagamamas. I was met by a big smile from lovely Harry who couldn’t have been more accommodating and kind. Great food as always.
