Great night great food thanks again

What can I say about this little gem of a place. Slightly hidden down a little lane, but well worth a visit. We were greeted by Peter behind the bar with a friendly smile and very warm welcome. The drinks were amazing, their pitchers of Cherry Cola and Woo Woo are refreshing and delicious. The food is amazing, Patatas Bravas, Goats Cheese, Stuffed Mushroom, and Chicken Kebabs. All came out rather quickly and were cooked to perfection. Can also recommend their Beef burger and Chicken mil burger, it was juicy tender and delicious. If you are ever in the area, pop in and say hello. Plenty on the menu for Gluten Free and Vegetarians offerings also. Again thank you to the staff in the kitchen that night on the 28/07/24.

My son booked us for an evening table for 6, Being a local pub type of guy I immediately felt at home with people at the bar, some eating and some drinking and playing cards. Quite rustic and a good choice of tapas that were great value, good service and atmosphere, just like a small bar that might get in the back streets of Bilbao, no pretence and some lovely tapas. I will be calling in again even if it's just for a beer and some Spanish cheese and ham.

The service here was amazing and so friendly!! The atmosphere too is great, you really do feel like you’re walking down the alley into some kind of Mediterranean building. The raegatton music also was great atmosphere. The food is definitely tapas and slightly pinchos. They have really good deals for food too and reasonable prices. For not being in Spain, it was quite reasonable! :)

We visited with friends last night and whilst the service was good, the whole restaurant desperately needs a deep clean, refurbishment and improvements made to the food. We ordered the mixed paella which was fine but very bland, not much flavour, but nothing exciting/exceptional. The tapas was again not very flavourful. The restaurant is really starting to need a refurbishment and a very deep clean, it is very unclean/greasy, not to mention the awful state of the toilets. I hope something is done soon, otherwise it might continue to go downhill.

Went for some food as fancied some Spanish food as a belated anniversary thing and was pleasantly surprised Good: friendly service, keen pricing for this kind of food, mostly ok size servings (not overly generous). Average service time. Food generally tasty, hot and well made. Less good: A bit cold (temp) and atmosphere more bar than restaurant? (If that was what you were expecting) Stuffed mushrooms only contained one mushroom! Overall a good choice.

Cool place. Food is good. Just needs a bit of a clean. Table was dirty. Found the lights in the end ! Odd but I do like the place

We didn’t plan for Tapas but went on the recommendation of one of our hotel staff. Food prices were reasonable and all dishes were tasty and well presented. Our waiter made a mistake with our order but immediately offered the error for free and reordered our original choice which came quickly. Wine by the glass prices were also reasonable.

Wow what a find in Midhurst High Street. I took my Auntie & Mum Saturday evening, staff are very friendly and engaging, drinks excellent value, food well what can I say it was blimming amazing ...the medium paella was delicious (make sure you havnt eaten all day ) there was so much and full of seafood it was all very tasty! Cocktails on offer from 5pm to 8pm excellent value . I will be recommending Faustinos to family and friends. THANKYOU!

Absolute gem of a find for dinner tonight. It was very quiet but that was to our advantage. Fantastic tapas and the service was excellent

We'd heard food was good at this tapas bar, so walked through the unlit alleyway to the restaurant which was empty apart from one young family (wearing their coats and the mother had a woolly hat on). So we asked the young waiter if he could put some heating on. Turned out he was new and knew nothing. He told us the boss would be arriving in 45 minutes and then carried on talking to his friend. We requested the wifi password (he didn't know it). We ordered two glasses of rioja. I asked the female chef was boquerones were and she told me potatoes (they are, of course, anchovies!). Basically the staff were absolutely clueless and had no training, so had no idea how to welcome us or make us feel welcome. We asked for padron peppers - they had none. So we told the waiter we were leaving - his response? "OK guys". No wonder this restaurant was empty. Went across the road to red.h restaurant which was warm, welcoming, great food.

Went on a mid-week night. Place was pretty busy which is a good sign. Staff were friendly. There was a good selection on the menu & everything we had was very nice.

One of the few places to eat in Midhurst, and have something different to the usual pub servings. We ate here on a Tuesday night and sadly were the only customers. However we were warmly welcomed and ordered tapas dishes, until we were full. I'd recommend the Sizzling Hot Prawns, for a bit of a fun chilli kick!

Popped in for some tapas. My squid was a tad tough but otherwise OK.

Cracking night. Really great staff all very engaging and friendly. Look forward to treating ourselves again soon.

Great Spanish restaurant all but hidden in the high street. Well worth a visit with some excellent dishes and great service. Highly recommended and to boot they are one of the few restaurants open on a Sunday night.

Faustinos es un bar encerrado decorado con un pésimo gusto. A veces hacen fiestas debido a la temporada de polo pero son fiestas pésimas. Pero es lo único que hay en Midhurst para la gente joven, por lo que muchos caen en la trampa y van. Tienen seguridad en la puerta que maltratan a las personas. Fuimos varias veces en la temporada de polo y siempre es sucio, con mucho olor a aceite y la mayoría de las noches cuando hay más concurrencia, se quedan sin hielo. Lo peor de todo fue ayer. Organizaron una fiesta de “after polo” con venta de entradas anticipadas. No teníamos entradas por lo que fuimos hasta la puerta para comprar ahí. Después de un tiempo de muy malos tratos con las personas de seguridad y el propio dueño, compramos dos entradas a una persona que le sobraban. El dueño entendió que habíamos hecho una especie de “trampa” para entrar y las dos personas de seguridad golpearon a mi marido. Las mismas personas que nos han visto ir varias noches distintas durante la temporada de polo. Hace 2 meses atrás, en otra oportunidad, a una amiga nuestra, la empujaron muy fuerte para sacarnos del lugar debido a que la fiesta había terminado. Es muy posible que sean las formas frecuentes de tratar a las personas y nadie hace nada. Esto debería denunciarse de otra manera. Pero quiero advertir que tienen doble personalidad y que no les importan sus clientes. Viven 3 meses al año del polo y nos despreciaron muy ingratamente. Hay muchísimos bares en Midhurst mas lindos, con mejor ambiente y comida que este.

Lovely tapas food, recommend the prawn and chorizo skewers. Cocktails could have been stronger and less sugary.

We ordered four items from the menu and only one item was edible. Our paella was full of crushed shell- I have never known muscle shells to crack before? Our calamari wasn’t seasoned at all- it was served with Hellman’s Mayo. If you like Mayo, it would be a great dish as it was the only flavour detectable. Our prawns were sizzling in heaps of oil and no other flavour, though otherwise okay. The potato bravas resembled a school dinner, oily, burnt chips with tomato sauce blobbed on top. We concluded it was the worst menu we had ever eaten. Service was fine though hence the two stars. The waitress did forget our olives but we were happy to get out of the restaurant so we didn’t mind.

Cocktails were superb, especially when they are half price. Tapas food was well printed and excellent servings. Highly recommend the chocolate fondue as it’s huge!!!!!! Loved it

Something different in Midhurst, Spanish tapas/ food/ wines/ cocktails. Great atmosphere.

Tapas style starters were excellent but the paella was poor with the calamari completely inedible.

I booked dinner here for my wife and I for a much needed kid free night out, The staff were very friendly and check on us for the whole time we were there, Cocktails were good, A nice selection of wine. Food was very good and very decent portion size. Staff were happy to make recommendations from the menu. We had a great evening and will be back again for sure. A little tip the medium chicken & chorizo paella is a little bigger than expected maybe knock done a dish on the tapas to avoid being super full. We were very kindly offer to take with us what we could not eat but were staying in a hotel for the night with no fridge or would have taken up the offer. Big thumbs up nice food, good fun.

Had 4 tapas between 2 of us. Gambas and anchovy very tasty. Recommend ordering bread to soak up the sauce. Seating in the outside area very pretty with lights and marquee did not leak during rain storm!

We stopped here by chance because we fancied some tapas. The selection was good, served freshly and in good time. The staff were attentive and friendly. We enjoyed our sangria. The entrance is a bit quirky through a passageway to the back, but inside is fine and with a small protected courtyard for 'outdoor' eating.

We were booked to eat at another local restaurant that suddenly changed it’s opening times without telling us or cancelling my reservation so had to find another place to eat at short notice which we thought would be a problem given that it was Glorious Goodwood week. Popped into Faustino and boy were we glad we did. We had a very warm reception and great food. We can thoroughly recommend a medium paella and three sides as being the right sort of quantity for two reasonably hungry people. The food was cooked freshly in front of us and we did not have to wait too long for it. It was of a high quality and very tasty. Faustino’s has a great selection of wine by the glass which means you can try something new before progressing to a full bottle. Overall I was very delighted to have a full meal for two plus several glasses of wine for a very reasonable price. If I didn’t live so far away I would be eating here very regularly.

Como adoramos carne decidimos experimentar este restaurante com muito boa classificação! O staff muito profissional e simpáticos ! A comida de excelência, tínhamos medo de ficar com fome mas ficamos cheios até demais ehehe. Comemos como entradas um folhado de queijo e vieiras, super delicioso ! Went here for our anniversary meal. The tapas was delicious, service was excellent - fast and personable, lovely atmosphere. 2 for 1 cocktails was a nice bonus. We will be back!

From the cheery call to book the table to the cheerio at the end of a great evening, Faustino's not only offer great food both are excellent hosts. The tapas was as good as any I have had with fresh ingredients. The atmosphere is relaxed...

Went for a meal Sunday evening. Had the chicken and chorizo paella for two. Very generous portion and really tasty. Staff very friendly too. Covid safety made us feel very at ease. Would highly recommend this restaurant!

a fabulous little tapas bar in the heart of Midhurst, there was ample choice on the menu and reasonably priced. Eating at lunchtime meant it was quiet. We sat in the courtyard which is a little sun trap. The food and service were superb and we will return again as well worth a visit, next time in the evening with friends

A cute little tapas restaurant in town. The staff were really sweet. We had the paella and some tapas. The food was really tasty and portions were great. Even the medium Paella was good for two of us. The prices are reasonable. There is some outdoor seating and it looked like it's good for groups. They also have some good wine. All in all I would definitely recommend it.

Visited for my birthday, had such a lovely meal. Loved the tapas and the paella. Chocolate fondue was a hit too. Wasnt sure after seeing some of the other reviews what to expect but for me and my family we were so impressed!

The staff were willing and friendly but that's the best thing I can say. The food was warmed up in a microwave, we could hear the pings! It was not at all authentic, not spicy, not tasty and frankly just hard work. Do not come...

We had lovely meal here. Really enjoy food and service. Specially from nice slovakian lady Magda, she made us feel very welcome. Also we enjoyed nice life music. We will return

All was going well to begin with and on arrival service was great but at the end of the meal service was poor and a bunch of drunk young men came in and helped themselves behind the bar whilst changing and turning the music up! Safe to say i wasn't the only one in the restaurant put off by this and they were allowed to carry on!

Unfortunately the food here is pretty poor, hopefully it improves as clearly the restaurant has been in midhurst for a long time. The tapas was not good at all.

I really love this place - it's very cosy, and does a good selection of dishes (perhaps more vegetarian tapas options would be nice though?). Good drinks selection including my favourite beer, Estrella. Gets busier later in the evenings and can be quite quiet early...

Had the unfortunate experiencing of dinning here on Saturday night. We ordered the large chicken/chorizo paella to share, which was bland to say the least. How can Spanish cooking contain almost no flavour? This dish also contained very little chicken or chorizo. I paid £20...

Never been here for food. Only been here as a bar in the evening. Unfortunately, only a very small bar with a covered alleyway outside meaning you're either in an alleyway with all the smokers or packed inside. Despite this I always have fun here. Although the drinks aren't exactly cheap they are cheaper than alternatives such as the seven fish or the angel nearby.

Visited for dinner and had 3 dishes each. The ribs and chicken wings were slightly tough and the food is quite pricey for what is is. Had the chocolate fondue which was great though! Probably a better place for desert and a drink!

The food is absolutely fantastic every time we come here. The staff are always happy to fit you in on a busy evening. Very good vibe for a evening out for a nice meal and drinks, and for the more adventurous on a Friday and Saturday evening the tables get back away around 10pm and the dancing begins!

Faoutino's is a Tapas bar serving both classic tapas dishes alongside some that stretch the principle such as a half rack of ribs. This works!Service and atmosphere are extremely casual so great for a relaxed outing with friends or family, not somewhere I would go for anything more.Food was tasty and portions were a good size.I will happily eat here again.

Warm, welcoming ambience. Delicious freshly cooked spanish food from £4 a dish. LIVE music weekly. Highly recommend.

A nice little place to eat a light lunch made up of quite small tapas dishes. Good variety of dishes with prawns, chorizo, Spanish omelette, etc of about a fiver each. Not particularly warm when we went but we all enjoyed the food.

Went here earlier than usual one evening and was a really dead atmosphere, they had the tapas food which looked okay, the staff were really laid back and it just felt a bit awkward, when the atmosphere picked up a bit it was a good place to socialize and be around people, a lot of people hang out in the alleyway. Average priced drinks.

Driven pass this restaurant several times and finally had time to stop and check out.

We visit Faustino's fairly often and it has always been great. Food and drinks are good and service is friendly and attentive. Menu has about 20-odd dishes incl vegetarian, meat and fish and gluten-free options. There is live music monthly and the tables are normally cleared on a Friday/Saturday about 10pm to make space for a slighlty younger crowd who come for the bar and music which is always lively and good fun. Welcoming staff and regulars plus good mix of visitors throughout the year. In summer the outside courtyard offers extra space. Located via a door way and an old alleyway without 'outside' toilets the venue has charm. Look out for the 'Faustino's' barrel on North Street (High St)

We had a fantastic 18th birthday celebration at Faustino's, the staff were very friendly and accommodating and the food was tasty and plentiful.

Only people in on a Monday lunchtime. so very quiet. Competent , adequate .. not exciting.. but acceptable

There were three adults and my seven year old grandson. We had eight dishes between us which was perfect. We enjoyed all dishes thought he chicken kebabs could have more flavour and they were a bit dry. But the stuffed capsicum and prawn dishes were all very good. Wine list was OK but strange no Faustino wine ? Staff very friendly and efficient. Will go again and can recommend it with children as long as they behave in a restaurant where other people are eating. prices are reasonable.

It was good, went for lunch and the only ones, the tapas where different from the real thing that you get in Spain, but it was still nice.

Nice place staff friendly a must stop before heading back to somerset every time we visit midhurst.

Great food. I always enjoy having dinner there with friends as the tapas size portions allows us to share food easily.

Was really looking forward to some 'authentic' Spanish tapas, but the experience was a huge disappointment, the place is dirty and there is nothing authentic about the food! Don't waste your money!
