Premier Inn Chichester South (Gate Leisure Park) hotel in Chichester

Had to wait longer than Necessary to check in. (Check the cctv)The reason why? The receptionist was having a bit of a love fest with the 4 young guys that were checking in. She couldn’t do enough for them, they asked if they could book breakfast for 7am, she replied they were fully booked but could squeeze them in. When I asked (out of irony) if I could be squeezed I received a firm no. When the guests had finally checked in the receptionist did not acknowledge me until I stood directly in front of her and her response? You ok? Er no not really I thought. She didn’t mention the parking set up until I asked. The staff member in the restaurant was very friendly. The receptionist then made her way into the bar to serve the earlier guests. I feel like I knew about her dissertation more than I really needed to hear. The rooms were clean but pillows hard. And it was a quiet night. Think there may need to be some additionally training required on customer service.

Jayson Juliet elvy we stayed here and found the place to be quite a nice place to stay ,fantastic staff always helped us with our stay we had to rebook extra time as we was staying here waiting for our house to complete so was helped to rebook the food is great very clean and non greasy breakfast our room was cleaned excellent And good parking the location off this hotel is a fantastic location we are still staying here and enjoying it very much

Stayed here recently for a few days. Was right by the train station, so easy to travel from train with bags. The staff was nice, and the room was clean. I've stayed at other Premier Inns and they've yet to disappoint. Nice stay, no complaints.

Rooms excellent clean ,fresh,poor WiFi

Shocking. Avoid if possible. Shamefully understaffed. Waited 30 minutes to be checked in. Only 1 member of staff on site for the whole hotel, who was trying to sort a room problem out, check people in and serve at the bar. No better at breakfast. 2 staff serving who looked very unhappy and totally demoralised, with not a smile in sight. Had to keep asking for cutlery and food not being replenished. Waited over 50 minutes for our breakfast to be cooked. Really felt sorry for the few staff who were on shift. Safe to say I won't be going back which is a shame as the location is very good.

We visited here last minute for a family emergency. We were able to book a wheelchair accessible room and the room was clean and comfortable. The blue badge bays were taken by non blue badge Holders which we did report to staff but they said there was nothing they could do and it was down to the car park owners. The staff were very friendly and allowed us a later check out due to our difficult situation.

Can’t fault the hotel it’s comfy clean and cosy I’d return here. It’s close to lots of eateries and town centre. Ample parking as well. The staff on the desk are pleasant

Really good location, 15 min walk to ten town centre. Whoever had the car alarm running all night should be hanged, otherwise it would have been reasonably quiet.

I’ve been here for the last two months with no issues. This morning I specifically asked for a full room clean and when I come back from work, the room hasn’t been cleaned at all. Extra pair of towels was placed on the bed. If I am paying for a service, I expect it to be delivered no matter how busy a hotel may be. I had a really long day at work and the one thing I look forward to is coming back to fresh sheets in a place that isn’t home. Very unimpressed as when I asked for the room to be cleaned, I was told all housekeeping staff leave at 3pm. No courtesy room upgrade for this visit or my next pre booked visit was offered which is a shame, considering the vast increase in price paid for a standard room. I would think twice before booking this hotel now; as the service has been the worst this week, in the two months I’ve been using it.

Good location for a visit to Chichester. Rooms are good. Breakfast usual good premier inn standard. Reception staff very good. Car parking is free BUT you must register your car at the desk for your stay.

Room itself was lovely, great location and staff were fantastic. Good that the front desk is manned 24 hours a day just in case. If you stay here, just avoid breakfast! Service was so slow and when our food eventually came out it was absolutely dire. Everything was cold, I’m sure the beans went straight from tin to plate without seeing a pan and the bacon was a mess. The rooms are fine but the breakfast just really let it all down.

Breakfast is an extra £10 per night so I got some brioche rolls and a drink from the tesco on the road back from town but otherwise a great stay. Front desk where very helpful with advice on extending an extra night when I checked in and the room was spacious and attractive as well. Will definitely stay here again.

Had a lovely weekend in Premier breakfast great value and lovely evening meal not so good Friday evening but excellent Saturday evening again great value. Staff also lovely friendly helpful polite. Would recommend to anyone Beryl and Paul Williams
