The best restaurants in Cherwell South East

Visited Tim Tim for a take away and felt uncomfortable with the woman server not interested in taking my order. It feels like these only want orders that are deliveries. They have a barrier of chairs so you can't get to the counter. The food was okay but not great. I've had better from other venues, so will use them in future, not Tim Tim.

Most amazing spa day ever the manager Ahmed went above and beyond to accommodate my needs.the lunch was superb massive portions and excellent service.i had 2 treatments from moi and I must say the best ever.will definitely be returning.

Great food; friendly and speedy service and the atmosphere is such a vibe.

Can’t really comment on the pub as it’s seeming the pub is closed every time I go and charge my car. Bit looks like it could be a cute little pub hope to visit soon when it’s open

We had the most amazing meal here. The food was lovely the service was fantastic. The restaurant was lovely and calm. Well worth a visit.

Visited here as we was shopping in bicester. We was fasting so we broke our fast here. The staff gave us the the traditional food we eat to break our fast for free which was very nice of them. Unfortunately the main food we ordered was very bland. Garlic chilli chicken wasn't even chilli and had way too much tasteless garlic in it. The service was better than the food. Would highly advise for a baby changing unit as I had to change my sons nappy on the floor. But like I said the service was very good and nice atmosphere too. Just a shame about the food.

Another reviewer wrote that the coffee was amazing. It’s not. It’s one of the worst coffees I’ve had the misfortune in drinking. Should have guessed from the name that this place was not going to be great. Food wasn’t great either. Service through a weird little hatch where the staff saw me waiting, ignored me. They served some food to one of the tables. Still ignored me. Only had to say to “hi, we’ll be with you in a minute” but no, can’t even be bothered to say that. First and last time going in.

We have been going here for years as it's relatively local. I also order delivery from other Chinese Take aways so I'm neutral. My daughter however, only likes egg fried rice from this place.....trust me that I've tried everywhere in the Banburyshire area. She only likes this one. Good portion sizes and always hot. I deducted 1 star as no delivery service - that for me is a major inconvenience and why I keep trying top fob my little one on other places egg fried rice options. Personally I like to mix things up but daughter likes what she likes. Really friendly service and quick also.

I went with two friends, we were very pleasantly surprised, wonderful atmosphere, superb beer , and a excellent sausage roll, I definitely return soon. Bob Ashfield

Edit: they have since “rebranded” it seems it’s more of a snack and cocktail bar now, which is a shame because they did great food before. Amazing addition to Banbury, in fact you would mistake that you are in Banbury!!

Moored near here on first night of canal boating holiday. Very good atmosphere with real local people and excellent food. Went back a few days later for the folk night, a good number of people taking turns to sing and play. Landlord a very kindly and charming character providing an excellent time for all.

I try not to leave negative reviews but as it is now the second time I am getting the same poor service I feel the owners need to know. This is the second time in a few weeks I have tried to order from there. I was in lock 29 yesterday lunchtime, 1pm, O tried to order Loaded tatter tots and was advised there was no pork, fair enough, those things happen, I asked if I could have another filling maybe instead, I got a blank look from the young lady (same service last time from her) and she then said "No" and went back to cleaning. Literally nothing else was said, none of the : anything else I could get you, we have this or that left, nothing, no thank you good bye, just No and went away. You can't be making money with opening at 12 and closing at 1pm. Others were turned away when I was waiting for food from next door to you. Why even open. I cannot mark the food as you don't serve any it seems, and the service is appalling, you can tell those 2 young people do not want to be there. Sad times.
