We’ve occasionally tried other fish and chip shops in Kidlington/Woodstock area, always come back to Albert’s. Best cooked, best portion size, friendly staff. Regular family customer for many years.

I bought a medium tray of chips costing £4.20 today. They were absolutely disgusting! They may have been re-fried in old oil but I really don't know what they had done with them. The chips were tough, wrinkled and greasy making them inedible. The taste was dreadful and the best thing we could do was to throw them out, which we did. We will not be returning and would not recommend Albert's Fish and Chips.

Chips were stone cold and the place had only been open for 15 mins

So for the second time now And what I can only believe is the owner Totally messed up my order and overcharged me again This only happens when he's in there If you own a fish and chip shop you think you'd understand how to take orders in English ... its a Quick way to kill his business as I will never return when I see Mr box man/Owner working ... I'm just a 40 year old resident who remembers this fish and chip shop as the rainbow when it was the best chip shop in Kidlington .. But not now albert has killed it

Lovely fish & chip shop run by a great crew. Excellent quality burgers, fish, chips and even battered cream eggs! Very nice atmosphere in the shop.

Really nice chips. Gravy was thin and didn't taste like gravy. Sausage was tasteless and I wouldn't get sausage or gravey from there again.

Word of the day is oily. Lets start with the good point: The fish is fresh and salted correctly. Fish was cooked on the spot Bad points The batter was soaked in oil even though it was cooked when I ordered The chips were oily also So all in all good quality ingredients but the execution is abysmal.

Cash only take out that provides a high standard of take away food based on the staple Fish and Chips, but they do other options.

A little disappointed the haddock was over cooked and batter so thick, chips were good but the mushy peas tasted like coffee which is odd. Didn’t really enjoy unfortunately

Fabulous food! Kebabs are great, love the onion rings and pigs in blankets too. Staff are really friendly. Xx

Normally just average but today was the worst fish and I have ever had, no good telling the owner he just accuses you of complaining when you are trying to tel him he is serving poor quality.

Best kebab ever 10/10 lovely staff and very quick service a credit too the village.

If you’re after crispy chippies, this is not your place BUT the fish was very crispy and tasty.

Very friendly, community feeling establishment! First time trying them out and I was not disappointed. The cod, chicken wrap and onion rings were outstanding! The staff went above and beyond to ensure my order was the way I wanted it. I do not live in the area but am willing to return and try some other items on the menu. Best fish shop I’ve tried since coming to England from the southern states in America. Highly recommended!

Terrible! Chips were refried a number of times, oily and very hard in texture. Most disappointing and quite disgusting. Couldn't finish eating them. Sadly, never again!

Food is very good and fresh. Prices are fair and very friendly staff. Will go again for sure.

Freshly prepared and generous portion always. Would have been more convenient, if they have contactless payment too.

Traditional Fish & Chips local shop. Monday chips are extra special. Also serves very tasty kebabs. Reasonable price. Recently introduced Salmon also. Not very common an option. Would highly recommend.

Best fish and chips in Kidlington!!

Excellent!! Everything from cheesy chips, onion rings, battered creme egg and fish. It's all divine and absolutely delicious. Ordered from here for my wife's mum's birthday and everyone ate quietly as their taste buds were dancing. Great job guys!! Generous portion!

Just been to this fish bar and they over charge me. The chips were dry and the fish was overly oily. Very disappointed not going back.

Albert and Treasa and staff are welcoming always have a great takeaway from there great prices dont have to wait long no empty plates in our household, We will recommend to any one to give this a try to 😊👍🏻

Best chippy in Kidlington. You NEED to try "Golden chips" Monday. FML. Could eat these all day every day lol. Open 7 days a week. Always fresh golden chips. Would recommend everytime.

Popped into here , for a snack ........bought a Chicken and Mushroom Pie ....and Some Spicy Southern Fried Chicken , for a late supper ..... Both were delicious , but was impressed with the helpfull and happy staff .........Excellent !!! ....and free parking a short stroll away .......

Whenever we are in the area, we stop here for fish and chips! They've recently started doing 'extra crispy' chips on Mondays and they are unbelievable. Genuinely the best fish and chips we ever have. Friendly staff also! Easy to get here as you can park by the Tesco down the road.
