Unfortunately, our takeaway experience was more like an I’m A Celebrity eating challenge. The fish, such as it was, was over cooked and the batter almost inedible. A shame because up to now the food had been very good.

Our first visit was for a family meal, of which the kids were mortified we were going to an Indian restaurant ( not into food with flavor!) However the service and the food we perfect and very reasonably priced! But the kids were adventurous and now want to come back! So looking forward to our next visit.

Under new, experienced management,(and it shows) fantastic people and staff, a truly, good old English pub, traditional ales, hearty open fire 🔥, board games, and a fantastic Oxfordshire village. Local sourced food produce, what more would you want in an expanding rural location 😀 all you have to do is pop in.......

We have been going here for years as it's relatively local. I also order delivery from other Chinese Take aways so I'm neutral. My daughter however, only likes egg fried rice from this place.....trust me that I've tried everywhere in the Banburyshire area. She only likes this one. Good portion sizes and always hot. I deducted 1 star as no delivery service - that for me is a major inconvenience and why I keep trying top fob my little one on other places egg fried rice options. Personally I like to mix things up but daughter likes what she likes. Really friendly service and quick also.

Another reviewer wrote that the coffee was amazing. It’s not. It’s one of the worst coffees I’ve had the misfortune in drinking. Should have guessed from the name that this place was not going to be great. Food wasn’t great either. Service through a weird little hatch where the staff saw me waiting, ignored me. They served some food to one of the tables. Still ignored me. Only had to say to “hi, we’ll be with you in a minute” but no, can’t even be bothered to say that. First and last time going in.

We spent a lovely New Years Eve at The George. Excellent evening meal. Stayed in a really comfortable room, comfy bed, good shower, Excellent breakfast before leaving. Staff helpful and friendly. A little NY treat for us after a hectic christmas.

On one of my walks and stumbled across. Perfect and classic country pub with good food. Will come again!

This pub is located in historic Deddington, North Oxfordshire. It's a traditional pub with a lovely bar and seating area. There's also a good restaurant attached that serves great meals. It's not too pricey considering it's in a very expensive area. Car park at the rear.

Dropped in for lunch on way back from a day out. We hadn’t booked, but were seated swiftly in the garden. Can honestly say this is one of the best pizzas I have ever eaten, and I have had a lot of pizza! Salad and fries also lovely and fresh. Even though it’s a 40 minute drive from our house, we will visit again just for the pizza!

I found Knife and Fork bakery after being diagnosed as nearly coeliac to gluten, following the birth of my daughter. I found it a huge adjustment and I couldn’t find any gluten free breads that I liked, until I found this one. I absolutely adore it and I eat it practically everyday. My favourites are the farmhouse sliced sourdough and the cinnamon and date loafs - both of which are constant additions to our food shops. We have also recently tried the brownie mix which went down a treat. I love that I can now enjoy having a slice of toast again, and actually feel like I’m eating proper toast! Thank you.
