The best restaurants in Rottingdean Coastal Brighton and Hove South East

Found this lovely place while out walking, no inside seating but we were lucky it was a nice dry day, there is shelter to sit under, lots of dogs too which was good as we had ours. Nice cuppa coffee & a scone , only thing was butter was to hard & my scone all fell to pieces, although it was tasty.

Best fish n' chips in town at the best price. Wouldn't go anywhere else!!

Our recent visit (October 2021) shows this restaurant as ERBE withth the same address and if this is the case then it is an Italian style restaurant serving a range of excellent Italian cusiune and well worth a visit. Good wholesome food and friendly, efficient service.

Tuve un tiempo increíble en la casa club el domingo pasado. Fui por la carne que Wellington era excepcional. Tanto sabor con las patatas asadas que eran encantadoras y crujientes con un poco de verdura en el lado que era la cantidad justa y una cosa que me gustaría mencionar la camarera / camarera Laura servicio increíble que era muy dulce, realmente excepcional y dio un servicio tan brillante. ¡Bien hecho y sigue destrozándolo! ¡Volveremos para otro asado al 100%!

Received a gift box of cheeses, cured meats and craft beers from The Great British Charcuterie. Some wonderful flavours all round, and as a gift it was all very well-wrapped and presented and delivered swiftly. Would definitely think of sending as a gift to someone else as a bit more unusual.

A charming little gem with character. The homemade treats on display are not only pleased to the eye but also delicious. The service was friendly, cheerful and flexible to needs.

We stumbled upon this little café during our walk and were pleasantly surprised by the delicious food, excellent service, and fun 80s music. The gentleman behind the bar was incredibly kind and thoughtful. Thank you!

We popped into The Windmill bakery for breakfast while out on our morning walk this morning...lovely friendly staff & great service & the food was fresh & delicious (highly recommend the rarebit!). They have a great selection of food on the menu & also to take away & do takeaway boxes for breakfast, pasta, etc, which is excellent if you're on the go. They also have lots of local produce/gifts on sale supporting other local businesses. All in all a great experience.... we're lucky to be local..... please pop in if you're in Rottingdean 😊

Had been recommended the roasts here on a Sunday by friends, and we weren’t disappointed. A good portion of food (not completely piled high and overwhelming like a few places), hot and tasty. Friendly, attentive service, with a wide range of drinks. Premium and Magnum wines available too which generally is a bit unusual for pubs. Highly recommended.

The pub must consider advertising it is under "New New Management" because as a local, I attributed being under "New" Management with the former regime who turned my favourite pub in Rottingdean into an absolute shambles after they took over. Only after chatting with an old timer at the Post Office, he told me the old regime left and there is a new landlord. Are you sure? Yes, he assured me I should give it a go again. The old chap was right. Standards now exist. The food doesn't taste like it was hauled out of the Iceland freezer, it now is tasty. Both the garden (which I always fancied on the rare mild day) and inside is great. The former regime had no clue what the wifi password was. Mobile coverage is nil because the useless council will not approve the building of a new mast after the one at White Horses was removed during the renovation. Anyway, the new owners seem to care about customer service and making it a decent experience out. It is probably too dog friendly, but compared to what the previous regime did to this pub, I will endure the hounds if it means enjoying this pub, now that it has been recalled to life. Well done, Black Horse. Giddyup!

Popped in after the races lovely drink with a view

Last Saturday, I went for an unexpected meal with my friends and was pleasantly impressed by the food, service and overall experience we witnessed. The pumpkin dessert was delightful. Our waitress (unfortunately did not get her name) with the ponytail braided hair gave us one of the best services we have had in a while. A kind soul who attended our every need. Props to the chef, the staff and the restaurant!

Servicio absolutamente impactante. Compré un plato mixto que se enfrió no solo esto sino que la carne estaba cruda. El pollo seguía siendo rosa y sanguinolento absolutamente vil. El camarero vino y recogió la comida acordó que la comida estaba cruda y se la llevó a los chefs que se pararon y se rieron de la comida que cocinaron. No recomendaría a nadie ahorrar su dinero e ir a otro lugar en el puerto deportivo.
