Very good food . Big portions, love this place, will come back

We decided to try this restaurant when we visited the marina as the reviews seemed really good. It was a big disappointment. The food was very overpriced and very average. My friend and I had the moussakas - vegetarian and steak. They were nothing like what a moussaka should be and felt like the leftover vegetables had been heated through and put into a dish - no layers or anything resembling a moussaka. Expensive ++ for what it was and would not recommend or return.

Went for family meal and birthday celebration, oh what a mistake, 2 of guests celiac and I have never been somewhere where they were so unhelpful. No one knew anything or would see if something would be able to be cooked for my wife and daughter. Somehow they are listed as celiac friendly on find gluten free !!!! And to top it off didn’t even bring my wife a dinner, had to ask to get a drink and deserts then between them forgot we had brought a cake !!! Some of our group have been so many times and the said worst service they had ever had (and been a lot )

Standard Turkish restaurant where the food is well cooked and presented and the place is done up well. Slightly pricey for what it is

Unfortunately it is a place I won’t be returning to. Staff behave as if they’re forced to be there & lack customer service and politeness. Plenty of other places to go to with better staff down in Marina. Disappointing

Been here before, always good. Today not so good as food arrived cold. When we mentioned it we were told you should have said something! No checks took place during the meal and we weren’t even offered a drink to make up. Hopeless.

Waiters lack proper customer service training as they’re abrupt , rude , you can tell how much they hate their job. I would never return unless you hire better staff with friendly and cheerful attitude that look after their customers .

I planned my boyfriend’s birthday at this restaurant and specifically requested a gluten-free dessert for the celebration. Since they didn’t have gluten-free cakes on the menu, we agreed on gluten-free ice cream when I called ahead. To start, the interior design was lovely, and they decorated the table with balloons, which was a nice touch. The service was decent at first, and we appreciated those efforts. Since it was a quiet Monday night, we were the only customers there. However, the staff spent most of the time chatting among themselves and eating on the side and they didn't notice us when we wanted to order additional drinks even though we were the only customers!! This lack of attentiveness felt unprofessional. After our meal, we waited for the birthday dessert, but instead, they brought us the bill. They completely forgot about the celebration, which ruined the entire evening. It was extremely disappointing to see how little they cared about making this special occasion memorable. When I brought it up, one of the staff members rudely told me I should’ve ordered the ice cream directly from the menu, even though we had already discussed it in advance. The guy who brought us a takeaway box was polite and tried to make up for the situation, but the other staff left a bad impression. This experience was incredibly frustrating, and I wouldn’t recommend hosting any events here. Birthdays are special and happen only once a year—this one will never happen again, and they completely missed the mark. On a separate note, the bread served with the hummus smelled bad, which was unpleasant and surprising. Additionally, I was disappointed that the sea bass didn’t come with rice, even though other dishes like the kebab did. Businesses that lack good service like this won’t last long.

Very underwhelming. Food OK but no better, portion sizes not great and prices a little inflated. Have had more, better quality food for less at a number of other Turkish restaurants. Service was good to be fair.

AYDO is my personal escape place.

It is a beautiful restaurant and the staff were really lovely, however the food was not good. My chicken appeared slightly pink and I had to send it back and overall for what you pay the food wasn’t that good. However the cocktails were lovely.

The food is delicious, the service is fast, especially the kebabs are very successful. The ambiance feels modern and happy. Adana kebab and lamb skewers are great

Went for a meal here with friends, food was very tasty but a little disappointed as previous Turkish restaurants have always offered pitta bread as a complimentary starter. Also, I did not have a salad with my main.

A birthday meal here Saturday was the best I've had. Delicious food with good portions, delicious cocktails ( best expresso martini),fantastic service and fantastic relaxed atmosphere. Staff are the best. Thank you for a fantastic evening and I will definitely be coming back.

We celebrated my daughter's birthday here, and the experience was absolutely fenomenal! Our waiter Halil went above and beyond to make our evening special. The food was spectacular and the staff made the night extra special by surprising my daughter with a birthday song and a sparkler on her cake. It was such a thoughtful touch that made the evening unforgettable. Aydo is hands down the best restaurant in Brighton. We can't wait to return.

Very nice luxurious place, service 👌 food amazing Authentic turkish/Mediterranean also the music is nice we noticed that tips are not included on the final bill so if you're happy with the service please tip the waiters/kitchen team as they work so hard 👍

I recently visited Aydo at Brighton Marina with high expectations, but unfortunately, my experience was far from satisfactory. Firstly, the portion sizes were incredibly small. For the price I paid, I expected a hearty meal, but instead, I was left feeling hungry and unsatisfied. Speaking of prices, the dishes are quite expensive with no justification for the high cost. The food itself was tasteless and lacked any distinctive flavor that one would anticipate from a restaurant of this ambiance. Moreover, the service was notably poor. The waiter, who had curly long hair, showed a blatant lack of interest in serving us and did not appreciate our presence as customers. Her inattentiveness made the dining experience quite frustrating. To make matters worse, the food took an excessively long time to arrive. Given all these issues, I can confidently say that Aydo does not belong in Brighton Marina. For anyone considering a better dining experience, I'd recommend opting for one of the local Turkish restaurants instead. This place is 100% not worth visiting. Overall, my visit to Aydo was disappointing, and I would not recommend it to others.

Again I don’t write a review unless I’m impressed, this is a lovely restaurant, good food, excellent wind and reasonably priced, friendly service and tables set aside for people with their dogs. I recommend the octopus, tender and delicious, the sea food casserole I prefer with the bulgar but nothing is too much trouble, just ask. I found this place a year ago and have enjoyed their hospitality many a time one my own, with friends or family and always my faithful hound! I could not recommend enough, and above all they know they offer a good service, that is why the discretionary service charge is left entirely up to you, not added to the bill like most other restaurants these days but earned on the back of the staff and chefs who work hard, to deliver, they delight in the food and service they offer, for a 5 star night at a restaurant that offers simple food, good cocktails, a well thought wine menu, all very well done, with a great view. I would advise a night at the Aydo bar and grill Brighton marina! I hope you enjoy as much as I

Absolutely Beautiful Restaurant with gorgeous food. We went here for a Hen do for my niece and the staff were amazing, Catering to our needs, we was not left waiting at any time. The food was so nice and the service was 10 out of 10! The Manager kindly allowed my God daughter to sing a song also which made our evening even more special. I went here for my birthday meal - from the very start when we arrived the staff were super unfriendly. We ordered and when our starter platter arrived had just started to eat it when a waiter barked at us we had the wrong one. I took one look at the ‘correct’ order and immediately said we would keep what we had. During this time there was a very loud karaoke style singer performing which was very off putting. The real disappointment came when the main meals arrived - electric yellow coloured potato mash with a very greasy and fatty lamb shank. My food was also bland devoid of any sort of flavours. We finally managed to attract the attention of a staff member and relayed our dismay at the food quality. The response was to whip the food away and leave us hanging. We just wanted to leave and pay for what we had. The person in charge was giving our table a wide berth and he finally sent one of his team to sort out the bill. We were so shocked at how we were treated especially as they knew it was at special occasion. I won’t be recommending this place to anyone I know it’s over priced and shocking service and food. However the restaurant itself looks absolutely beautiful …. What a shame !

I ordered the steak Moussaka wondering how they would layer it. It comes out more like a sizzling mexican beef fajita. The taste was absolutely fantastic. It comes with rice & salad. Food was a bit slow coming out, but it was very busy.

I'm not sure where to start with this review. Last night we went to Aydo for the first time, as foodies we thought we'd try a new restaurant. It was my friends birthday, upon arrival we the first thing we noticed was the loud karaoke type singer in the restaurant, our first thoughts were " we hope we don't get a table right next to that " We were taken to our table by a waiter that wasn't particularly friendly, ordered our food. Our sharing platter starter for 2 arrived and we started to eat it . Suddenly the waiter came over and said " this is not yours" and wanted to take it off us. No apology just very aggressive. We said as we had started it we would eat it. We ordered 2 drinks which never arrived, getting the attention of a waiter was practically impossible. Next came our main , meatballs and I had lamb shank and grilled vegetables as a side. We started to eat it even tried each others as it was completely tasteless , fatty lamb and just inedible, and my friends meatballs were the same no taste, it tasted like something at a carvery that had been under hot lights for the day. We just could not eat any more. We called over our less than friendly waiter told him this food was really not nice. He didn't respond he simply said " finished" took the plates away and left us sitting there not having a clue how they planned to rectify this. At this point we just wanted to get out of the place, the next table to us their child was screaming between that and the karaoke singer it had become unbearablly uncomfortable . I called the waiter back and said I'd like the bill we wish to leave and that we are not wanting to pay for the main course but we're happy to pay for the starter and drink we had. He snapped back at me and said " "I know I took that off the bill and also lamb shanks is our most popular dish everyone loves it" why was that not mentioned at the point of the complaint we were just left sitting there, he made us feel so uncomfortable the level of customer service was the worst I have ever experienced. We usually frequent good quality restaurants where the food is excellent and only good reviews are left, so to experience this was a bit of a shock . I think the clue in how this was going to be was on the initial phone call prior to our visit, my friend called up as we don't drink alcohol and they don't cater for us in the non alcoholic section so she asked if she could bring her own bottle of non alcoholic fizz and pay the restaurant a corkage they were very rude and said no! We had to cheers my friends birthday with a tonic water in a champagne glass which wasn't quite the same. Absolutely will not recommend this terrible place to anyone and actually giving 1 star is too generous.

Fabulous first meal at Aydo. Having spent many years visiting Turkey I can honestly say this meal was up there. We are big eaters and the sharing platter for two was plenty. All very fresh and tasted amazing. The baklava was also the best I have had in the UK. Halil was super friendly and attentive and made our visit very enjoyable. We will be back without a doubt next time we are visiting Brighton. Thankyou team Aydo.

This is a good place for a romantic date and if you just want to go there for a normal dine-in, it's great. Even though we made a reservation, one can walk in to get a table. The food was great but the octopus meal was a no for me. I enjoyed the service. The staff was great with delivery. I would definitely visit again if I get the chance to.

Nice setting and decor but staff were generally miserable and the food wasn’t great. Not sure if it was just what I ordered but I won’t be coming back again. Had a halloumi wrap which was dripping in oil and barely half-filled. It only came with a small portion of salad, also wet with some kind of liquid thrown all over it. There were no chips either. For the price you pay, save yourself and go to Nando’s next door.

My wife, sister and brother in law dined here last night and had a thoroughly enjoyable evening. The food was excellent and everyone absolutely enjoyed both courses. The evening was enhanced by the friendly attentive staff and the lovely singing of the girl singer. The was our first visit and we will be back. I have no hesitation in recommending this venue.

The sea view and the atmosphere, especially during this summer , make Aydo a nice place to have a drink. Food was tasty and well prepared and presented, but the portions are small... Service was ok but not outstanding at all I must say.

I am not talking about the food there - it is delicious. Every time. But the service and the waiting times are preposterous. Just a joke. We waited for more than 70 minutes just for kids pizza. And this happened in 2 different occasions. Other people were served and they were sat after we arrived. The waiters were so so. We were offered a free kids meal eventually, but anyway we won't go there anymore, unless the managers take the kitchen times into serious consideration.

Very slow kitchen, staff is inadequate and they cannot handle when there are more customers sat. The food is OK, but the service is subpar as performance. When we waited for more than an hour for the food and I asked numerous times, even so apology was offered. They have still lot to learn.

Been here several times now and I think it's become one of our favourite spots. The staff are always lovely and welcoming, service is always prompt and efficient, and the food is always excellent. Tons of variety and every dish we've ordered has been lovely, will definitely be back!
