The World Famous Pump Room in Brighton and Hove

Walking past early this morning on a dog walk (around 07:30) man was setting up outside and we were looking at the volleyball court out front. The gentleman decided to swear and insult my partner for simply looking at his shop. Not once but twice! Absolutely disgraced and horrible horrible staff. Would not recommend when shop workers don’t even want you looking at their shop!!!

The best ice cream! Went here 4 times on our trip to Brighton.

A nice little place by the beach. I bought a smoothie from here it was freshly made right infront of you and it was quite cheap. Tasted great and was refreshing. Will be popping back again next time I’m in Brighton 👍

Great meeting, relaxing venue right on the seafront. Mark only sources the best food and ice cream and it is a big hit with locals and tourists alike. Mostly excellent service and my go to cafe all year round

Food is excellent, Vegan sandwich was so nice heading back again today for another, I had the cheesy chips and great chips good quality foods and the service is very good friendly helpful and quick, it's a lovely position great views wonderful atmosphere

We had the most amazing ice cream here! My husband had the clotted cream flavor and I had the honey and stem ginger. So creamy, so rich and lovely chunks of stem ginger. I went back 2 days later for some more and I'll go back again before I leave town. Excellent!

I had the most amazing creamy ice cream here - honey and crystalised ginger. The scoop was generous and pushed right down to the bottom of the cone (a guarantee of my repeat custom straight off!). I wished I could have sampled all the flavours!!!

Had the vegan ice cream, I did notice that the scooper was siting in manky water and it was the end of the day, so it has been macerating in there for a while and sure enough I had bad tummy in the evening… would not recommend from an hygiene point of view.

Nice place by the sea. But do you really need to charge 40p extra for oat milk?

Bought an ice cream today, the person serving was abrupt and not particularly friendly, when he used the scoop I watched him holding the handle so high up that the ice cream was making contact with his hand and he wasn’t wearing any kind of disposable gloves, it was pretty disgusting and enough to put me off the ice cream I’d just paid for. Will not be returning

It was my first time going to brighten and I really enjoyed the world famous place it has amazing view and it's not expensive really good positive vibes and excellent customer service excellent atmosphere and for this delicious and amazing thank you so much for your amazing experience there

Nice sandpit and seating area here when viewing in the summer sunshine here, with lots of things to have on food and drink they is is available, nice to see these shady tables and a good view out over the seafront.

Excellent ice-cream and reasonable prices for a tourist trap like Brighton

Yummy creamy vegan ice cream. It's so nice to have proper vegan ice cream rather than sorbet. Staff are great too.

I bought some ice cream here today. The ice cream was lovely, but shame about the service. I bought two scoops of ice cream in a tub. It was placed in front and then the server (he looked like the owner), made like he was going. How did he expect me to eat the ice cream? With my fingers? When I asked him politely did he have a scoop, he very rudely answered scoops are here and pointed at a box and then he left. I had to reach to the other end of the counter, over two customers, and into the box to get a scoop and I only have short arms as I am quite short. You don’t expect to be treated like this when you’ve just paid £4.50 for two scoops of ice cream. Usually you would be served with your ice cream in the tub together with the scoop. Quite astonishing and I for one won’t be back.

Without any doubt the best beachside coffee spot. I’ve been a regular for years and they thoroughly spoil me. Great food, great ice cream, great coffee and sensible prices and the staff are great.

I love their white chocolate ice cream. Always a must-visit when in Brighton!

The best ice cream on the seafront

The coffee was fine. But, while I was paying, the owner (I assume it was the owner), received some coins from another customer and then with the same hand grabbed an ice cream cone, put a scoop of ice cream on it, and then moved ithe ice cream around with the fingers before giving it to a customer, totally disgusting.

A little gem really. Great tasting smoothie, excellent selection of ice-cream and very decent coffee. Will go back to try other stuff on the menu.

Best Ice cream on Brighton beach !

A perfect place for breakfast with Brighton seafront view and a live volleyball match. You will feel like a local person as you are surrounded by local people who also enjoy their breakfast with a view.

Friendly staff, great location. Delicious ice cream with lots and lots of flavours to choose from, but slightly overpriced in my opinion.

Easily the tastiest ice cream in Brighton!

The ice cream was to die for even the dog kept coming back for more. Lovely coffee lovely staff. Will definitely popping in again. Great spot to people watch and enjoy the world going by.

Ordered a large vegan mint choc chip, ended up being more than expected as the outdoor sign showed a different amount. Bit annoying vegan is fair bit more. Sweet and smooth, melted quickly even though it wasn't that hot out

At this moment in time the Pump Room is only a "hole in the wall" selling take away teas and coffee (best coffee on sea front ) ..I go for my daily walk and stop off for a coffee at this inter nationally known venue ..well worth a visit .Edo.

I deem it my outside office! Very much a regular! Basic offering but everything that you would expect from small seaside cafe. No toilets persay, but access to one is a minute along the promenade at 'Brighton music hall'! Friendly relaxed atmosphere right on the beach with good views!

ice cream is ok but service and hygiene are bad. And I'm not talking about covid-19 issues. Staff not properly sanitising hands before handling food. Touching each scoop of ice cream to balance on the cone.

I cycled from Southsea yesterday looking for breakfast, these guys are fantastic very sweet young lady couldn't be more helpful and polite and good service good food thanks again 🙂

Open all year around, crear to meet with friends, central, great coffee , great smoothies. Fun and relax.

I was just delivering but was given a coffee and croissant (both delicious btw) offered a bacon sandwich too, what a gent, more people in the world like this would make it a much better place.

They do very nice coffee thats always wake me up. Very friendly staff. They do also toasties, pizza, loads of flavour of ice creams, milk shakes and many more they are open all year round, just if the weather is really terrible, they are closed. Nice little cafe on the beach. They got just outside sitting. There is no toilet though , but you can find public one 5 minutes away.

Brilliant Place to sit down by the seafront. With everything around you West Pier i360. A various menu of fish and chips. Sandwiches Cakes. A great choice of ice-cream different flavours down to even the 99 ice cream in a cornet with a Chocolate Flake.

One of the best places on the seafront. Amazing juices, coffee and great cheese on toast!
