The best restaurants in Chineham Basingstoke and Deane South East

Not very quick service. Chips piled on top of meat and salad. Not the usual amount of meat for this kebab.

I met up with a friend for a bite to eat and we thought we'd try Vermillion. Well it was a wonderful experience. I had the Buddha Bowl with Falafels and Satay Sauce. I loved every mouthful. Fresh and delicious. My friend had the Avocado & Feta Sourdough and the photo makes my mouth water. I had a good look at the food being eaten on other tables. Plenty of choice from sandwiches, toasties, Jacket Potatoes, wraps and a host of cakes and other delights. Considering that this Vegan cafe has been in the Chineham shopping area for over 2 years (nearly 3) I am now kicking myself for not trying it sooner. I'm not Vegan, nor vegetarian but I love good quality ingredients, prepared well and with loving care and attention. The vibe was friendly, busy but not squished in. They do take-aways and I will be treating myself again soon.

Stayed in nearby hotel so this was very handy to pop into for items excellent selections of goods on offer

Lovely staff, very clean, and felt very safe with the new measures. Staff as always are friendly and welcoming. Lovely hot drinks and although limited food, still delicious for a treat.

I was disappointed after trying Tottenham cake, which is supposedly a beloved British dessert. The poor excuse for a cake was painfully dry and crumbly, with a texture more like stale angel food cake than proper sponge. To make matters worse, the cake had zero discernible vanilla flavor despite supposedly being vanilla. Instead, it tasted flat and floury. The sickeningly sweet icing was the worst part, with a gross fondant-like texture that added no flavor. Trying to eat this cake was a Sisyphean task, as the crumbs disintegrated when I tried to spear them with a fork. Rather than providing a taste of British tradition, Tottenham cake proved to be an overhyped letdown. I do not recommend subjecting your taste buds to this subpar dessert. Stick to scones and biscuits for quality UK treats.

Really enjoyed the lounge and restaurant (great fish and amazing bread)! Woddy, Joe, Igor, and Kat were very accommodating and Trish (Chef) had excellent dinner recommendations. Friendly staff and great food made for an excellent evening!

Didn't get 10% off for collection but rang and now getting a free meal next time we go lovely curry hot and full of flavour

Went Thursday Afternoon to Basingstoke Chinham Subway and I had brought 1 Italian cheese and hurbs bread with Tuna and cheese and the guy was English had served me and I had asked him to put on my sandwich tuna with cheese and he touched Ham slice which was not Halal for me to eat as I am Muslim which I didn't want to eat that due to having a pork so he then touched the ham slice but didn't bother to change his gloves so with the same gloves he had touched Tuna and cheese and then had put my salad on and southwest sauce he then served me with the same gloves dreadful for me because am a Muslim at least changed the gloves then serve customers. Wouldn't be visiting again

Possibly the best, most consistent fish 'n' chips in the South. Wednesday wouldn't be Wednesday without Dave and his sunny disposition. Yes, you'll need to wait while your food is cooked to order, so a little planning is needed. But the individual frying is what makes it so good. Find the van next to the Community Centre. Try the sole and the mushy peas (but leave some for me)

spent 15 minutes in totally the wrong place, then drove in the wrong direction. when eventually got to my house he tried to walk away with my order saying he was at wrong place.

food was 10-10, great customer service from all staff, the guy with black beard in particular. nice outside area and decor is nine inside. would highly recommend to anyone wanting some nice grub. stay happy.!

This restaurant is one of the worst restaurants in Basingstoke to dine with!!poor customer service, smell of gutka!! Poor quality food ! Only postive is having a parking !! Will never recommend 👎🏻👎🏻👎🏻

Visited today and again staff are friendly and lots of stock but the toilets are still really bad . I didn’t want to use them as I know how bad they are but I was desperate. You really need to sort it out

Ordered via Just Eat. 2 hours later, the pizzas hadn't turned up. 3 or 4 of us tried to phone to query this; the phone connected and we could hear voices, then they hung up. Eventually one of us got through and they said they had recalled the driver and were re-making the pizzas. One of us got in his car and collected them himself. No apologies, no explanation, and they have delivered to our location before. Won't be using Dominos again in Chineham. Can't wait to see if the outlet reply to this.
