Chineham Tandoori in Basingstoke and Deane

We were recommended to this restaurant and were not disappointed. We were seated with respect to certain disabilities which was a good start. The staff were friendly helpful and efficient and the food was first class. We interacted with several members of staff including the owner during our evening and we were made to feel extremely welcome Although we are not local to this area, we visit often and will return again We thoroughly recommend this establishment

So consistently good with the food that we have delivered and, the menu has such a good selection of very interesting dishes designed to suit every taste.

Myself and my family love the food here its allways so nice. They do have an 80s vibe to the resturant but look passed that and just go with it i recomend anyone to come an try the food they do take away too and are open from 5pm despite the sign saying 5.30pm. Honestly give it a go..

The restaurant closes at 11! My wife and I booked a table for 2 at 8pm, we were greeted with a warm welcome and shown to our table. The waiter complimented us on our appearance which I thought was nice as the wife took forever getting ready ;) our drinks and papadoms came within minutes and they remained tentative for our order. The Chicken Shaslik and Murg Masala was a delight, with a compliment of peshwari Nan.. my mouths watering whilst I write this. We would’ve stayed longer but the taxi was booked for 10:30. Thank you Chineham Indian, can’t wait to return!

This restaurant is one of the worst restaurants in Basingstoke to dine with!!poor customer service, smell of gutka!! Poor quality food ! Only postive is having a parking !! Will never recommend 👎🏻👎🏻👎🏻

Whilst staying in Chineham for work, my friends and I followed the local road signs to Chineham Indian Cuisine… and boy did we hit the Jack pot. Working long hours near by and on the hunt for some quality home cooked food this restaurant did not disappoint!! The staff were friendly and welcoming on arrival and they helped us pick and choose some fantastic dishes. When they arrived at our table, we were delighted with colours and flavours and went to bed that night with full, happy tummies!! 😋 This restaurant may but look much from the outside, but wow has it got something special on the inside! 🙏🏼

A friendly family run restaurant. I had a really tasty meal. Their butter chicken is really good. Prompt and friendly service. It was great all round.

Had a takeaway delivered a few days ago and the food arrived when they said it would. However I would like to comment on the packaging and presentation of the food. - Curry and rice dishes delivered in foil containers which don't seal well, consequently spills everywhere. Plastic containers seal much better for transporting. These are used by other restaurants. - Salad side dishes in plastic bags. These were therefore covered in the spillage. Taking everything out my hands were covered along with worktop and dish to place in oven to keep warm. Must have used about half a kitchen roll clearing up. Otherwise food good but needs a little more attention to detail.

Found this by accident. Pulled up outside, welcomed by friendly staff, Offered a drink while i chose takeout from their extensive menu. 10 mins later waved me in to collect Brilliant clean restaurant Food was Amazing Will definitely be booking a table very soon 💯

Had delicious food tonight. Really fresh and tasty will most definitely use more often. Super friendly service and quick and efficient.

Wanted first post-COVID lockdown takeout and decided to go local. About 30mins from order to picking it up and was well priced. Pilau rice was a bit dry but still really good alongisde the lamb korma and garlic naan. Very happy, will be returning again.

As always excellent service , food amazing , friendly and really great value . Have also used for takeaway and even got a complimentary beer 🍺

Popped in there Friday evening, place was buzzing, great service, best Biryani and Ceylon in Basingstoke, great choice. Highly recommended

Although the food took a long while coming they were quick with the drinks. When the food arrived it was well worth waiting for.

I was out with some friends, we were very hungry and looking for a delicious food to celebrate my birthday. I have been to this restaurant with family before and I thought let’s take my friends. I had two friends who are vegan and one friend who is gluten free. This restaurant accomadated my friends and explained to us which specific dish they should try. I thought I try there new dish Mitta Kata Grill, it was succulent, with a sweet and spicy sauce, but with a variety of meat. The service given by the owner showed he paid attention to customer service and the food, it was well worth the wait. The plus was that there was ample parking, which gave us room to park our car. The decor may seem shabby but it gave a history to the place. If anyone who is reading this and looking for a place to try I would definitely recommend this place as it has loads of history as one of the oldest Indian restaurants in Basingstoke. I would recommend the Mitta Kata Grill, if you do pay a visit to this premises.

As the decor is tired and in long need of a makeover , we went with a takeaway. The food was ok but spoiled by the heavy overapplication of salt on most dishes.

Don't be put off by the appearance of the building, the food was fantastic and there was plenty of it.

Tenía dos comidas aquí y ahora debido a ir con amigos pronto. Aunque desde fuera no parece mucho pero no dejes que esto te desanime, el personal es genial, si no puedes ver algo en el menú quieres tratarán a solucionar el problema, la cantidad de comida que se sirve es muy generoso y siempre cocinado a la perfección.

I was quite disappointed with the service. Would never go there again! Food -Average Service Quality- below average Interior - Below average I strongly believe, the people of Chineham deserve a much better Indian restaurant than this. . B)

It was our first visit to this restaurant in a couple of years. The building and decor are showing many signs of wear and tear. The food is average and the service is poor because takeaway customers are served beofre diners. Several diners had to chase the waiters for food, drinks and bills while we were there. They were not even busy and one of the waiters was complaining that business was slow. I am not surprised.
