So pleased to reinstate my 5 star review after I had downgraded my review from 5 Stars to 1 for food after my wife visited in September with a group of friends when portions were ridiculously tiny. First discovered the Bridge in the summer and had one of the best and biggest and best fish and chips ever whilst having great views of the River Adur in their Quayside dining area. We went to there Saturday steak night and food and service was very equally impressive. An excellent fillet steak with corn ribs a whole roast garlic, superb chips, mushrooms, and a choice of sauces, peppercorn, blue cheese or chimichanga. At £20 a head it was ridiculously good value. Looking forward to going back and trying some more of their menu. The beers surprisingly good too Also my 5 star review when I visited August 2024 Wow the fish and chips who said size wasn't important. Same can be said for the rack of ribs. Enough to feed 2 (but I still managed it) Can definitely recommend 100%. My new go to pub restaurant of choice..

My family recently visited your restaurant and unfortunately their experience was marred by the behaviour of the waitress, she was extremely rude and very unprofessional. It's disappointing because the restaurant itself has a nice ambiance, and the food is always lovely. However, the poor service we received overshadowed everything. I hope the management addresses this issue.

We eat from here at least once a month a can honestly never complain, however tonight the food was terrible not sure if they have a new chef? Curry was really salty and the cartons were only just half full Really disappointing as we’ve always had such lovely food

Gluten free options not good. Could not see signage for products containing Nuts. The seats and tables were not appropriate for Disabled Adults and Children. I witnessed a one-armed gentlemen try to move one of the chairs and a lady making numerous attempts to sit at a table in a motorised wheelchair.

Warm, welcoming stop for coffee and lunch. Helpful and friendly staff. Delicious food and great coffee, in relaxing surroundings. We felt very well looked after, even the youngest member of the group (5 months old) who loved the twinkly lights on the ceiling.

Came here for a dinner for 5. Great atmosphere and decent priced food. Not really authentic, but tasty. Catered for a British taste and using local veg instead. Lovely staff, good drinks selection, good food. Curry could have been thicker but would come back

Lovely walk along the seafront in the sunshine to shoreham followed by a Sunday roast. What a perfect way to spend a precious day off. Well it may have been perfect had we chosen a different place for lunch. We sat down and ordered drinks, started chatting only to realise that we were sitting right in front of what turned out to be a performance area for an afternoon entertainer - PA system literally 12 inches from my head. Now I have seen this entertainer before (Black horse - Rottingdean) and he is - er... entertaining, but, and here's the thing, when booking a table, for 8 people for lunch, would it not have been advisable to warn the group that there was going to be loud entertainment and that entertainment would be pretty much on your table. Anyway we decided to get the conversation in quick as the loud music kicked in and we ordered our food - mostly roasts and a couple of 'Mountain' burgers. The waiter was confused at the request for mountain burgers as he was unaware that they were even on the menu. He turned out to be the owner! An owner that doesn't even know what the kitchen is serving - that's a new one on me. Anyway we sat there for an hour awaiting our food trying to enjoy the entertainment and convince the mother-in-law to remove the makeshift paper napkin earplugs she had cleverly constructed. After an hour the waiter/owner came over and said "Sorry no roasts left...nothing I can do about it. Choose something else." An hour - a bloody hour we sat there waiting for our food - to be told that. What a farce! He obviously then sent one of the waitresses over to tell us that we could have any food for free, but by that stage the damage had been done and we decided to leave. A real shame. It's a lovely place - right on the river with a great beer garden but for goodness sake - sort it out. The owner said he's been had the place for a couple of years. I just hope that someone who has a clue about customer service, and knows how to manage a kitchen takes it over soon because I shan't be returning as long as the present owner is cluelessly running the place.

We had breakfast here today, both had the vegetarian. An understandably long wait as a busy Easter Sunday. However for £9.00 each excluding drinks, we expected a lot more. There were two eggs, a tiny veg sausage, one small tomatoe cut in half, a tub of baked beans, two paper thin slices of halloumi and two slices of toast.

Awful and expensive. Bought 2 baguette rolls, one was chicken and bacon...but no bacon. One was a NY Deli...not great either but all ingredients present. 2 bags of crips and 2 drinks...just shy of £16. A real rip off. When I complained I was told that they all come premade so they were unaware...ok that's alright then! Bread was doughy and industrial...absolutely nothing to like and a rip off to boot. Avoid at all costs.
