Gluten free options not good. Could not see signage for products containing Nuts. The seats and tables were not appropriate for Disabled Adults and Children. I witnessed a one-armed gentlemen try to move one of the chairs and a lady making numerous attempts to sit at a table in a motorised wheelchair.

The Ropetackle Arts centre is a successful and highly attended community venue. The panto at Christmas was excellent again this year. The cafe is licensed and is useful for drinks and light meals.

Visited one morning and ordered two coffees which were absolutely fine. However, the only gluten free option was a banana cake which tasted like and had the texture of cardboard. I can't believe that this was the only option available too. And it wasn't just the gluten free option that was tasteless - the "healthy" flapjack resembled compressed floor sweepings but with less flavour. One of the staff at the cafe could've been a little more welcoming too. It's a real shame as the cafe is spacious and warm with great facilities, but We won't be returning.

The Ropetackle Arts Centre at Shoreham by Sea has an excellent cafe. It’s set in the large foyer and open to passers by. It acts as the bar (and restaurant) when performances are on. The tables and chairs have a retro 60’s theme and it is a comfortable place to sit and enjoy a coffee and cake. We parked just over the bridge in the free car park and walked back. In the cafe there is a stand of secondhand books for sale to raise funds for charity. Great if you want something to start reading whilst there. The staff are great and the food good.

Both the food and coffee at the Ropetackle cafe were OK. Service was pleasant, but seating is limited. Prices are average.

They exhibit my paintings during the arts festival so they might expect a good review. It's OK for a cup of coffee and a bit of cake, if you go there for dinner you'll be lucky to find it edible.

as a cafe being part of the Ropetackle theatre I feel it could have a great "Arty" atmosphere than just a coffee place. suggest Photos all around of the many artists/actors etc who have played there. maybe Posters and the like. (anyone ever been to "Sardis" in New York ?)

Excellent to pop in for a sandwich to eat by the river, or have one of their delicous salads with a glass of wine inside.

I have visited the Ropetackle several times with friends. The coffee is fab, sandwiches are delicious and there is always a wide variety of foods and drinks available. Did I mention the cakes? To die for! Children are made to feel very welcome and the friendly staff ensure you feel relaxed and comfortable. Highly recommended.

I visited the Ropetackle cafe today as I had heard through the grapevine that the coffee was the best. I wasn't disappointed. I ordered a latte and a sandwich. There was s large selection of fillings to choose from as well as a selection of cakes made on the premises. I liked the fact that they cater for vegans as well as having a gluten free choice. The menu also included baked sweet potatoes and locally produced sausage rolls. The staff were very friendly and nothing too much trouble. Children are welcome and I noticed they had books and drawing materials for them. The room is large airy and spacious. I would certainly go again

Stroppy staff, who seem to hate the general public! Everything is always sold out and any request is too much trouble. There is a sickening nonchalance about eveything to do with this place. Tried it several times in the hope I was unlucky but it is simply shocking in my experience.

Came here for a dinner for 5. Great atmosphere and decent priced food. Not really authentic, but tasty. Catered for a British taste and using local veg instead. Lovely staff, good drinks selection, good food. Curry could have been thicker but would come back

Great little pub and reasonable choice of drinks. We visited on a Saturday when there were DJs and the atmosphere was buzzing!
