Warm, welcoming stop for coffee and lunch. Helpful and friendly staff. Delicious food and great coffee, in relaxing surroundings. We felt very well looked after, even the youngest member of the group (5 months old) who loved the twinkly lights on the ceiling.

It's hit and miss with the staff here..more often than not they're not very friendly and on a couple of occasions have been quite rude. Coffee cups far too small for the price. The other week, a group of young men were sitting behind us, swearing and shouting across the table at each other. We couldn't hear ourselves talk but staff turned a blind eye. We cut our visit short. Cake is fabulous though....

This cafe / restaurant has a great menu but the quality of the food was outstanding. Fresh ingredients, great ideas for the menu and presentation meant we were really surprised. Will definitely be returning. Excellent value for money.

Good portion of food did not to have wait long for our food.

We had lovely vegetarian full breakfasts with hot drinks which was absolutely lovely. The vegetarian sausages are superb (I wish you could buy them) and everything was cooked to perfection. I really love the decor in here - it has a lovely atmosphere and the staff were so friendly and lovely.

The loose leaf tea was delightful, and the cappuccino was rich and foamy. The ultimate eggs benedict was a real challenge—even for someone with a hearty appetite like mine! The bacon was gorgeous, thick and flavorful, a true butcher's cut rather than the usual supermarket fare. The poached eggs were spot-on, just shy of runny—no unwanted snotty bits or excess water, a testament to the chef’s skill. Service was fast and friendly, and the outdoor area was charming and inviting. The ringing school bell for orders added a lovely, rustic touch to the experience. Highly recommended!

One of my two "go to" cafés in Shoreham. Teddy's is a friendly cafe with excellent food and a lovely area outside to sit on a sunny day. Watch out for the seagulls though! They can swoop and steal your food. Recommended.

Best breakfast we've had in ages. Nice coffee, tasty smoothies and wonderful food. We had the big breakfast and smoked salmon and scrambled eggs. Both were delicious. We brought some cake home with us and it is unbelievably good. The staff were very friendly and attentive. I couldn't recommend it here more. We'll be back again soon.

Staff very pleasant but food was poor. Only ordered an omelette but taste and texture wasn't good at all unfortunately. I enjoy a light and Fluffy omelette but this looked and tasted like it was pre cooked and warmed up in a microwave. The side salad was very pleasant though.

We were recommended to come here for the breakfast, and after having it, we certainly were not dissappointed, it was really lovely, and didn't even have to wait that long, we shall deffinetely return and have some more food

Homely tea room with lovely lunches too. I'm so glad to have found this dinky tea room with tables inside and outside too. The food was delicious and as if an experienced home cook had made lunch for us. My son and I were very pleased with everything. It was a bit crowded as it was too cold to sit outside, but we found a table and the staff were very kind and cheerful, as we're the other customers. We were served at the table. It will certainly be on our list of places to return to. Thank you.

Food is mediocre, overpriced and the older waitress is quite rude. Only nice thing is the outside seating in the summer, and the cakes are good.

Popped in here today for breakfast I've been here before for sandwiches and cake always been very good. Today's breakfast was a disappointment the sausage had a strange texture and taste for me I didn't risk eating it also the beans, bacon and mushrooms were only lukewarm and on a cold plate luckily Poached egg and toast perfect. But the disappointing thing really was the reaction of the waitress when I mentioned it at the end of the meal. Just that they were famous for a good breakfast and no mention of letting the chef know the feedback. It's put me off going back there. And just in case you think it was because they were busy. It was 9am Saturday and only two other tables occupied.

Delightful old school vibes. Cake bonanza in all the flavours you know from back in the day and rocky road x4. They have done things with the eggs Benedict you would never have anticipated. Think buttermilk chicken and pulled brisket. Like wow. The full serving is for a large hunger. But I loved it. Good coffee too, both of the cow and oat. Nice little too.

Only go in when there’s nowhere else to go. The staff are so miserable and have been for years. We go for atmosphere as well as quality and choice but here they make you feel as they are doing you a favour. Shame because the location is great.

We have been twice now for cake and it’s the best cake we have had with amazing flavours and options, location is perfect and love that they offer lunch for dogs and will come back to treat my fur baby

Felt like Daylight robbery £12.45 for an omelet and cup of tea, if I wanted 8 -12 chips they call a handful this was an extra £2 still hungry. Left the hedge trimmings. Zero value for money. Will not go back.

A smart local cafe, with good food and very generous helpings! We stopped for lunch on a Saturday and enjoyed two breakfasts (one regular, one small), at about 1.30pm (breakfasts are served all day). Big helpings- I could not manage all of the large one. Also good to see that it's dog friendly, with a special menu for dogs to enjoy.

Lovely ride into Shoreham and thought we would treat ourselves to a breakfast. My husband opted for the ultimate eggs Benedict. The sausages were cheap, bacon over done and the bun untoasted. Expected much better quality when paying £16. My full breakfast was ok but not brilliant couldn’t eat the black pudding which was over cooked. £27 for two breakfasts left us feeling underwhelmed and not wanting to return.

After having wandered around looking for and not finding a good quality breakfast I stumbled upon Teddys. A nice friendly café ..I opted for the Full Teddy's Breakfast and it didn't disappoint. The star of the plate was the delicious creamy black pudding which was much more delicious than the standard dry rounds you get in most places.👌👌 I already fancy another one soon...

We went there today and service was poor. My daughter wears glasses and lent against a metal pole outside the shop, this was covered in grease, my daughter was upset as this was her England shirt, I mentioned it to the lady in the shop and she said that there was a note on the window stating this pole had grease on and beware. Well my daughter wears glasses and didn’t see it until we really looked at the window , I went and said to the lady that the sign should be bigger as we could hardly see it and got told if your that worried about the T-shirt I’d go home and wash it, I live in Worthing and they had just brought our drinks out. I’m sorry but I felt this was very rude, no apology, I got told she was the only staff and not her shop. When I looked on their other window there was an A4 piece of paper warning you about the seagulls, I mean that size should have been warning you about the grease. We won’t return there with staff so unfriendly

Lovely place to sit and have coffee and snacks. The cakes are I think home made and very nice. Quite expensive but large portions. Coffee good. I found the service ok but the staff are quite miserable, no smiles and not welcoming. Other cafes in the same square so will try the others next time. You do need to feel welcome by the waitress and owner.

Great English Breakfasts served on wooden boards. Or later in the day sit outside with a slice of one of their home made cakes. It can be a little squashed up inside when it is busy

I was impressed by the variety of food to choose from and also all was at acceptable prices. It is a small, clean establishment with both inside and outside seating and is located perfectly in the high street of Shoreham, only reason for not quite a 5 is that the seating was very limited and there was a staff shortage when we ate here so we had to wait for a table even though there was some available seating but can’t knock the food or the lovely staff present and location.

We had a nice lunch here.We chose the mini vegetarian breakfast, it was well-priced and tasty. Sat outside in the sun and had a pleasant time. Bought a takeaway steak pasty for our son, who enjoyed it very much.

What a sausage I had with my breakfast, made in the cafe itself. Best black pudding I've ever had, service was second to none. Lovely coffee beans are used too. 😋 yum

After going for a seafront walk we wanted a sit down for a well earned tea and cake. We happened upon a street with a number of cafes and picked Teddy’s. We were quickly seated and bought menus. Sadly we then waited ages for someone to comeback and take the order. Their seemed confusion with people going inside to order in spite of it saying ordering at table. We were just about to get up and leave, when they took our order. Things definitely looked up then. The size of the cakes was huge, definitely not a little sliver most definitely a good sized slice. The tea was loose leaf and came in a big cup which we got a good couple of refills from. Food great just need to manage table service better.

First I was rather surprised to see the recent negative reviews. Found staff welcoming helpful. Service was also prompt. We had scampi and chips and a jacket potato with tuna mayo both came with a salad. Could not fault either meal. Salad was very fresh and ample proportion. Potato was ample with plenty of filling which was very fresh. Good proportion of scampi. Would certainly visit again

A complete rip off. Avoid. Dirty. Unfriendly staff. Prices ridiculous. £29 for a coffee, tea, cheese on toast, fried egg sandwich, one portion of chips, and one slice of cake. The fried egg arrived almost uncooked. Had to be sent back. Slimy raw egg is a health risk. They also gave an inadequate portion of milk, and charged for the extra requested. They then had the audacity to expect a tip. Needless to say it wasn’t forthcoming.

Absolutely disgusted today when I tried to reserve a table for myself and my disabled father. Apparently they do not take reservations, are you joking. This man’s father fought and lost his life in the war when my father was just 7. My father was a crack shot and helped defend the home front for the Royal Sussex Homeguard and you can’t even reserve him a table, disgraceful.

I found Teddys realy expensive for a very average cafe. A full English AND a coffee - £10.50 Eggs on toast with bacon - part of a full English - and a coffee £12.45 How do you work that out? I did not have time to challenge this - you should not have to. The food is OK - nothing special - tables a bit stickey - could do with a wipe. Not many in there - you csn see why.

Firstly, the staff were great, friendly and helpful. But our sausage and bacon sandwiches weren’t the best we’ve ever had. The bread was dry, not stale but dry and the sausage wasn’t the best quality and lacked any kind of flavour. Coffees were good. If I went back I’d try something different. The cheese on toast looked good.

Home made cakes and a chai tea. Friendly service. What more can you ask. Thank you Teddies 🧸

Ordered the breakfast and most was ok but the sausage was revolting and cheap which I was unable to eat which was a shame as the bacon and black pudding seemed good quality. The tea and coffee was not included in the price but overall £26 for two breakfasts was a waste of money when most of it was left on the plate. Will not be returning.

Was expecting great things - feels like a hotel bar/restaurant with no atmosphere. Too bright you could operate on an Alsatian, staff quite heavy handed during serving. Only 1 decent champagne on the menu and the actual menu is a little bit of everything so quite varied for different people - I had the crab linguine which was ok. Might be a better daytime restaurant then the evening had no drama to it. Shame really.

Fabulous tearoom, great atmosphere. Food was hot, delicious and well priced. It was very busy when we went and people coming in after us had to wait for a table. Great range on the menu I can thoroughly recommend the cooked breakfasts. Toilet clean and tidy. If I am back in the area I would definitely visit again - a real little gem

Had been meaning to go to Teddy’s for a while and Saturday was perfect. Had the full English which has 2 bacon, 1 sausage,2 hash browns, mushrooms, toast, grilled tomatoes and black pudding as standard (with one optional change - out went the black pudding and in came an additional sausage. Perfectly placed on Shorehams “strip” of cafes- Teddy’s staff provided great service, great food and priced very nicely with a mug of tea

My friend suggested a cup of tea at Teddy’s as they had been there for a coffee in the past. We walked in where upon a waitress said “if your looking for a table they’re all full!”. We went to a nearby patisserie where the staff were extremely pleasant and there was an excellent choice of cakes.

Best cafe I've ever been by far. Came down from multi-chain London and was delighted by the lunches (proper thick-cut ham and bacon) and afternoon tea (big teapot and thick wedges of cake). Would highly recommend, especially to any city dwellers here on a day out

Stopped in yesterday as very hungry and had a late lunch. I ordered the ultimate eggs benedict and went for the full not half. My word that was absolutely delicious and that is the sort of food I have been looking for and good to find it. The 'full' was huge (still full a day later) so only get it if you are super hungry. My better half had a jacket potato with Tuna with a fresh salad and again enjoyed the food. We got cake takeaway and it was also good. I recommend as the food is very good and the staff are efficient, nice and friendly too. Good place.

Lovely late lunch, sitting outside, watching the world go by. Good service, lovely food. Impressed to have strong, real leaf tea. Want really amused my childish behaviour, was being able to create a tea leaf mountain, with the real leaf tea/strainer!

Doesn't close at 5 as stated, went walked in for a coffee at just after 4 and told it was "late", went to somewhere else who wanted my custom.

Went today for lunch and it was just lovely! The coffee (not pictured) was so lovely and had actual chocolate on the cappuccino (as opposed to powder). Thr picture (the Teddini breakfast with beans) was absolutely divine. Everything was cooked to perfection. A lady opposite us had eggs benedict which looked out of this world. Will definitely be returning here!

Had a delicious slice of cake and a lovely cup of Italian blend coffee. The slice of cake was large enough to share, can highly recommend the spiced apple and fudge cake.

In Shoreham to meet a former work colleague, decided to try Teddy's, real tea! with strainer etc,full marks ! Good range of homemade cakes, however the portions were very large, would have preferred smaller portion. Overall would return but perhaps request a smaller cake !

Really nice food and lovely environment but find the staff are a little rude and abrupt. Unfortunately since covid there is less indoor seating available and you cannot pre book but if you are able to get a space and the staff do not bother you then I highly recommend this for brunch. Sat outside on a chilly morning, so busy noticed they turned away so many would be costumer's. Very hot strong coffee and amazing cakes.

Lovely welcoming place with a good choice on the menu and a rather huge portion. Nothing was an inconvenience for the staff with asking to remove some food due to allergies, sauces and salt and pepper. Child friendly, pet friendly, breast feeding friendly, wallet friendly. Would recommend 👌

It was too cold, no heating at all and the coffee was warm just cold. The cake wasn't bad but it had too much sugar. The service is not very nice either, I don't recommend it for dine in, maybe just for coffee for takeaway.
